Niklas was a proactive host giving us clear instructions every step of the way. His home is peaceful overlooking a lake and only a short drive into town center with lots of restaurants. The space was perfect for the two of us and we enjoyed our stay very much. Thanks for hosting.

We had a great time in Mickal and Ira's super cozy house. You'll find everything you need in the kitchen and elsewhere and the Sauna was also great! Mickal was always very responsive when we had some questions. Would love to come back again another time.

We loved the cottage! Skatan is a small, wonderful village with friendly people and beautiful views. The house had everything we needed for our stay. The tv is located upstairs, which worked out ok for us but might not if someone has a mobility issue. Jonas was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. I would definitely recommend staying here and we will be back again, hopefully!

Absolutely recommended. We had a really nice stay with Miguel and Sofia. We had requested the accommodation very spontaneously, Miguel responded immediately to our request. Really great. The two were never intrusive, but always friendly and helpful. In the evening we had a very nice conversation with the two. A thoroughly successful stay. Very clear recommendation.

We enjoyed a wonderful week in the cozy cottage right on the lake. It's nicely embedded in Nordic nature. With a little luck, moose and reindeer can be spotted in the area. With the stove, which can be fired with wood provided free of charge, it remained pleasantly warm. The small fireplace in front of the cottage is great. With the clean boat, which was also provided free of charge, we explored the lake and tried our hand at fishing. From the terrace, we could see the northern lights very well. The place is highly recommended. We would come back. A big thank you to Inger for her helpfulness and for organizing local moose meat and fish.

Inger was warm , simple and clear and you felt welcome one right away. The place if you are looking for water close and cozy cabin, with wood-fired sauna, wood fired stove plus everything that is in a modern kitchen. If you want peace for the soul or fishing, and get to town ( close to Östersund. ) The place gave you the feeling of not wanting to go home, does the next say everything ? // Lasse

It was a very nice holiday. The house and location are wonderful. Our hosts were just great, nothing left to be desired. We were helped with a problem with our car, as if you had known each other for a long time. I would recommend it, yes, absolutely.

The perfect place to stay with the perfect hosts. The location (quiet but as a perfect base for excursions in the area) is fantastic. You can enjoy complete peace and quiet, but is always quickly somewhere by car. The view of the lake right at your doorstep, the mirror-smooth water in the morning and the wind in the late afternoon and evening were perfect. We took advantage of the sauna and the boat with the 5PS engine, and had a great time next to and on the water. The lake is perfect for fishing, the pikes are really good around the time of our stay from mid-August to early September. We were even blessed with aurora lights at the end of August, which of course we did not expect in this strength at this time of year. Andreas is the perfect host, always helpful, available and quick to respond. The place is not lacking anything you need. 5/5 stars, an absolute dream and 100% recommended! Thanks!

Great stay near the sea and a wonderful view! The kitchen is well equipped. Some cabins nearby, which made it a bit busier in the weekend, but the cabin is situated in a way that creates decent privacy. We had a relaxing time.

Wonderful stay at Inger's place. The place was very nice and the surroundings surrounded by nature quite what we needed. Inger and her husband were adorable with recommendations and always attentive. Many activities in the area. It was a lovely stay.

Everything about our stay was superb. Julius was so communicative and available even though it was Christmas and New year and sometimes I asked questions out of normal hours. The house feels like a home, toasty warm, comfy and with a lovely vibe. The views from the house, the veranda and the sauna are sublime. I’m almost reluctant to recommend this little piece of magic, for fear it will always be booked! I can’t say enough good things about our whole experience. Everything from the surroundings, the vibe, the interior, the host, the area, was outstanding, and quintessentially Sweden, we feel super lucky to have seen in 2025 there. With the northern lights as our backdrop!

A very clean and nice place. All there to feel good. Description very accurate. Inger is a very helpful landlord living few hundred meters away but not intrusive and very nice, with direct and clear communication. People with respect of nature and environment will be delighted by the place. In winter don’t miss out ski on lake, ice cold bath in the place dedicated for this purpose. Will be glad to return
