Holiday rentals with a kayak in Varmland County

The house was very sweet and perfect for a short break for a family. Fengersfors is a pleasant little village, and we really enjoyed using the sauna by the lake which Gaby helped the fix. There's clearly more going on in the village in the summer but there's still plenty of nice walks to do in the area. Gaby was extremely helpful and we enjoyed our stay. Top marks!

Nice place. Good view from the house. Quiet area. Beautiful house with all the amenities. We liked to light the fireplace in the evening. And the animals around the house like deer and a beaver.

We had beautiful days in this great vacation home. It offers plenty of space and is comfortably furnished. With the rowboat and the 2-seater kayak, we spent some nice hours on the nearby lake. The jetty is within walking distance in a few minutes. Meta and Henk are very nice and helpful.

We spent a wonderful weekend at this beautiful house and have only positive things to say. Steeped in history, the house exudes a deep connection to the area and its local industries. Edita and Per-Erik have done a fantastic job blending old-world aristocratic charm with modern, stylish touches. Set on the banks of the Klarälven River, the scenery is truly breathtaking. The old NKIJ railway bridge adds to the view, spanning the river like a graceful rainbow of steel. For anyone interested in economic history, this place is a hidden gem! Edita and Per-Erik are exceptional hosts — communication was clear and prompt from start to finish. Great amenities and family friendly activities also added to the superb experiences. We will definitely return in the future!

A beautiful spot on earth - and down to the wooden trucks on the nearby federal highway, we have seen practically hardly any cars in 5 days. It's just secluded and private. We would recommend to shop for the start and then just enjoy. There is a perfectly equipped kitchen with all the spices and a ball grill. We swim in the lake every morning and also in the sauna, the crowning glory on the last evening. The only small challenge: there is only one bathtub and my almost 2m tall man had to shower while sitting so that not the entire bathroom is flooded. 😊 We were canoeing and in the moose park, also we hiked. We would definitely visit again!

We had a short visit over the weekend at the place - which is in an absolute idyllic location - too short time to enjoy all the amazing things it has to offer. Host simply couldn’t be more helpful and pleasent, which made the stay an absolute blast. All facilities are top notch, hosts involvement incredibly professional, which made our experience one to desire repeating. great cottage in a huge friendly street and great village! the cottage is packed. cv. shower with lovely rain shower. bedrooms with blackout curtains. kitchen is also equipped with all the comforts. there is also a booklet with important information and fun facts about the area. sam responds quickly and kindly to questions. definitely recommended for people who need to be nearby. or if you have to completely unwind, you are also very defective

A great place with stunning lake views. The property is perfectly equipped, two beds are available in a separate log cabin - perfect if you want to retreat. Small downside: You have to bring your own bedding and towels (which is a bit unfavorable if you are making a three-person Sweden tour and the car is full) and you do the rough final cleaning yourself. Everything is also explicitly stated in the listing description, but it can still be overlooked quickly.

The privacy you get in this place with amazing view right on the edge of a spacious terrace is just amazing The location allows an amerce experience in the natural surroundings Picked some nice yellow chanterelle in a the marked tracks in the forest were its easy for the kids to join. And the nice canoes that you can borrow to explore the lakes close by, was a perfect addition to the activities you can do there The place inside have all you need for a comfortable stay , we were three families and everyone had a lovely time, and was able to cook together with ease as the kitchen is well equipped and spacious

Our family had a wonderful time at this magnificent home. This is a special property, cared for with such loving detail by the owners. It has everything you need for a perfect lakeside holiday in the beautiful Swedish countryside. The views of the lake and sunset painted sky are surreal and peaceful. There are many things for guests to use, boats, kayaks, bikes, and games, stocked kitchen and BBQ! Tor has even created a walking path through the forest for guests to easily navigate right in their own backyard! The house is full of great spaces, many bedrooms/bathrooms plus common areas for relaxing in the surroundings of a majestic, pristine historical home. We feel very fortunate that they open their home to guests, it truly is a treasure. As host, Ellen was so accommodating and gracious and her attention to detail and availability to make her guests feel welcome and relaxed was evident and appreciated by us. We highly recommend this unique house by the lake and hope to return again!

The time we spent in this place was wonderful. On the first day, we met Jenny, who told us what to expect in the area. We encountered a moose and organized a quick walk to the lake. A very pleasant detail was the small treats left by the owner. The following days were filled with family trips around the area, boating, campfires, and visits to the nearby town. Over these few days, we managed to relax, and we left the area with reluctance.

A dream for anyone who would like to enjoy nature and tranquility. Cute courtyard with beautiful sauna directly on the lake. We felt at home from the minute we arrived. Only downside, there are extremely many ticks, but we knew this before

We had an amazing few days in this cabin in August 2024. It is such a beautiful location and so peaceful. The cabin is extremely well equipped and clean. The lake was warm to swim in and easy to navigate on rowing boat and Canadian canoe. Anders was super helpful when we messaged (e.g. He has 2 canoes that can be rented). If you want a quiet holiday this is a great spot to go to!

Totally Bullerbü. Many have a certain idea of the typical Swedish cottage. That's totally true here. Even the path to the house is great, then the fantastic garden surrounded by forest, the cozy, typical cottage. The house is decorated with a lot of love. The cat Findus made it perfect for us. We will be happy to come back.

Our stay on Viktor’s island was an absolute highlight of our 3-week trip across Denmark & Sweden. His property is a hidden gem. Despite being “off the grid” as it were, there is so much to do on the island; be it swimming, kayaking, fishing, building a fire, sunbathing on the shore, an outdoor shower or exploring the island and the ones around it. I should add that Viktor is the most accommodating and helpful host. The check-in was very smooth and after giving us a quick few tips about managing the water and electricity on the island he was on his way again, leaving us free to enjoy everything that his property has to offer. Mi casa es su casa, so to speak 😊 I should add that if you have teenage children like we do then the island is the best recipe for getting them offline (from wifi) and enjoy nature on and off the island. Viktor, thank you so much. We hope to visit you again in the future!

Wonderful and peaceful place if you want to unwind in nature. It's a great area for hiking and canoeing. The hut is beautiful, clean and very well taken care of.

We spent the Easter break at Josefin's lake house and it was breathtaking. The house and the surroundings are even more beautiful than the pictures; the place is magical. Josefin was very easy to communicate and very responsive. She gave us a lot of local recommendations which all turned out to be very good. She also left a welcome basket for us which was very nice of her. The weather didnt cooperate with us mostvof our stay but we still had a great time looking at the beautiful view from the inside. We will definitely be back here again during summer.

Great cozy and nice cabin with a fantastic location by the lake. Good for us that it was so close to Snöån's roller ski resort. Very nice and accommodating hostess who made sure we had everything we need. This place is highly recommended!
