Cabin holiday rentals in Vänern

We had a fantastic two weeks and were very welcome by Léon and Karin. We have loved the tranquility and space at the beautiful lake. The villa is very fully equipped, with all the comforts. We felt at home. Every evening we had the wood stove on and in the fire pit on the mountain we had winter- bbq. Sausages on the fire and mashmallows, and then enjoy the immense silence, wow! We fished and we were allowed to use the sled to sled from the mountain and toys were also ready. The kids were fantastic. The walks in the folder were also nice to do. So many nice things to see in the area. Gränna, Eksjo and more. In the night visit of deer and at Christmas visit from Santa Claus! So nice! Winter wonderland. We are fully equipped and actually didn't want to go home anymore. A fabulous Christmas and New Year's Eve. We will definitely be back!

Nox is a very good host, very nice, reactive and super helpful! The cabin is really cute, greatly located to explore Tivedens National Park and with very nice equipments (hot tub, sauna), perfect after hiking!

We were too far in Jonas's place and were very satisfied. At check-in, Jonas happened to be there in person and welcomed us warmly. The highlight was of course the hot pot, which is operated with provided wood. The accommodation is easy to reach by car and has good shopping in about 20 minutes away. In addition, bed linen and towels must be brought along and a basic cleaning must be carried out.

The house is beautiful and wonderfully quiet, on a quasi private lake with a neighbouring house. Apart from deer and birds, we have not seen any other living creatures during this time. Perfect for relaxing and getting rid of stress! Despite the changeable weather, we had a wonderful time, as you can also do something on bad days, e.g. drive into Gothenburg. All in all, I can only highly recommend this house and the location!

Annika and Per are the perfect hosts!! We really lacked nothing! A great house with a "hot tub", the great lake (which looks like the Baltic Sea), the beautiful nature, and and and... Thank you!!

Great place, jetty, super nice cottage, sauna & hot tub great and everything very clean, thank you. The bathtub needs about 2-3 hours to get hot and at least one complete bag of wood (also available at the nearby COOP), this information would be helpful so you can plan a bit.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at the cabin for the weekend. Britta is an amazing host who really elevated the experience. Got a chance to greet the animals, burn in the stoves, eat breakfast outdoors with the view of the farm and swim in the hot tub under the starry sky. Recommend shopping in the farm shops that are around Sollebrunn and visit Gräfsnäs castle ruin. Very happy with the visit, perfect oasis for getting out of town. Thanks Britta!

A beautiful authentic cottage in a beautiful setting! Wonderful bed, slept well. You can enjoy nature, but also culture and good restaurants nearby. There is a silversmith (tennsmide) nearby who makes beautiful jewellery with precious stones. The cottage is equipped with all comforts, also for a longer stay. You can give your dirty laundry to Mona, she will wash it for you! Mona and Mattias are welcoming and committed to the cultural heritage of the region. Mattias can tell you a lot about that! We also used their private jetty by the lake. In short, a wonderful holiday spot!

We had a wonderful stay with Louise and Niklas! From the first contact to departure, everything was absolutely uncomplicated and warm. The two are incredibly courteous and likeable hosts who, with great attention to detail, ensure that you immediately feel welcome and comfortable. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you need – we didn't miss anything. The location was also ideal – quiet, but still well connected, with great opportunities in the area. We would come back anytime and can highly recommend a stay with Louise and Niklas! We had a very great stay, the host lent us the canoe for the day. We paddled along the lake it is so peaceful. On the night the host gave us some wood to make a barbeque, there was no many mosquitos, it was so nice. I really recommand this place, it's completly worth it ! ;)

Amazing location for a quiet honeymoon :) Beautiful scenery, quiet location perfect for a holiday away from all the busyness of city life. Endless walks and ability to take out the boat or the paddle board and hang out by the fire watching the scenery in the evenings. Inger and Erik always responded to every question we had very quickly and they also gave us recommendations for local things to do. Although in a quiet area, Oslo is just 50 minutes away by train and you can also organise a variety of days out in the surrounding towns like Halden. The cabin is clean and has everything you could possibly need. We will definitely be coming back in the future :)

Beautiful quiet area near the lake

We had a lovely stay at Jennie's. Three nights, but this could have been 3 weeks with ease. The cottage is next to the large house but you have a lot of privacy. Everything is there for a carefree stay. You look nicely over the fields. In the morning you can watch the sun rise and sit on the terrace by the living room. In the evening, you can enjoy the sunset and the deer on the back terrace of Jennie. Wonderfully quiet. Lots of hiking in the area of Kinnekulle. 100% recommended.

We had a beautiful stay at Henriks cottage. It suited us perfectly for our short visit to the area. Henrik was exceptionally helpful and responded kindly to any questions we had. We loved the calm little street that the house lies on and will likely be back for a visit one day. The house was small, but cosy and perfect for a small family. Brunnsparken in Dals Rostock, is a must visit. The Ateljie there is incredible.❤️

Ingbritt was absolutely fantastic as a host. Very nice and helpful, answered quickly to all our questions and stood up for us guests in a way you could never have dreamed of. Highly recommended!
