Small cottage with charm at Øståsen in Vikersund. 40 min walk upwards from the parking lot. Here there is simple life without electricity and water. The road up is a nice trip, a bit heavy some lots. Recommend going upstairs before dark. Remember good shoes and warm cloths. At the top, the prize awaits, flat and nice with lovely views:) Bunk bed in kitchen, sofa bed in living room. Remember sleeping bag+pillowcase, bed sheets are in the cabin. *Road fee NOK 50,- *Remember drinking water! Dishwashing water is available in the cabin *storm kitchen/portable *Outhouse

There is about 15 minutes to walk or 3 minutes by bus to Asker city center. From Asker it is 20 min with train to Oslo S.

The cabin is only 8 km from Bø Sommerland and 20 km from Lifjell winterland.Approximately 5 km from the cabin you will find Grønkjær ski resort with great cross country slopes. The location in the middle between Bø and Notodden provides opportunities for trade and restaurants In the summertime it is possible to rent the canoe ( on sharing with my second cabin in the area) for NOK 350,- a day.

In winter we recommend to bring your own duvet or sleeping bag as there are only summer duvets in the cabin! If you pay a fishing license in the boom, you have access to fishing in all waters! Possibility of kilos fish in the forest water around. Holleia offers amazing trips for anyone who wants to go short and far. Skiing right outside the cabin when there is enough snow! Electric heaters (not wood burning). Duvets and pillows for 5 people, the tenant brings their own bed linen and towels etc.
