Waterfront holiday rentals in Transylvania County

This is my second time staying at this fantastic spot, and it was just as great as the first. They are wonderful hosts, the place is a real hidden gem, and the community has so much to offer. It certainly won't be my last time here!

What a gem of a place. We booked this listing on a last-minute whim for MDW. Not only was it even lovelier than the pictures but it was exactly the getaway our weary souls were needing. There are few places that will calm you better than a cup of coffee on the patio. Lucia was extremely responsive, gave great and clear instructions and was very accommodating. The only draw back is the number of stairs down to the lake. The view is killer but with toddlers that made things like bathroom breaks tricky. If you’re not super mobile take that into account. Otherwise, this was a slice of paradise. The fire ring, stocked wood, and plethora of kayaks and paddle boards made this a fun weekend to remember.

Beautiful location! The host is definitely a nature person with beautiful plants and chickens. The place was both invigorating and tranquil. Definitely recommend!!

We really enjoyed staying here, we were here a week and have been to NC many many times. It was a really pleasant experience. The condo was clean and had all the necessities. The bed was comfortable and the location was close to a lot of great shops, cafes, and trails. We’re big hikers and it was super easy to get to a lot of different trails from here with multiple roads and highways accessible. Also very close to Asheville and Hendersonville.

Overall a really beautiful and peaceful spot that checked all the boxes for what I needed for the week. Super comfy and cozy. Had a really lovely stay, and Paul was super responsive. Definitely will be looking to book here again when I return to the area in the future!

My husband and I were so happy with our stay at Judy and Maria’s tranquil home. Everything from the creek to the hot tub and relaxing living space were perfect. My husband enjoyed fishing in such a great spot, and I enjoyed watching the ducks with their little ducklings, and the hummingbirds that visited often. 😊 We spent plenty of time relaxing, but also enjoyed the close proximity to good restaurants and shopping, and hiking. Casa Paz is in such a convenient and beautiful location. For good food we recommend Chef’s Table and Haywood Smokehouse in Waynesville, and Twisted Spoke in Maggie Valley. The place was very easy to find and Judy and Maria were very responsive with any question we had while we were there. Highly recommend a stay here!!

This is an amazing place!! Beautiful view, great place to sit outside, close walking path, quiet, comfortable and nicely furnished. It was just so perfect!! Fell in love with the apartment and Lake Junaluska. Cannot say enough about what an exceptional place this was!

We came for memorial Day weekend and the place was very clean and Rita was very hospitable. They even stocked the fridge with our favorite beverages! The sugar shack was right near the water and their was even a boat dock to store our boat for the weekend. We highly recommend this rental!

Amazing time! Having stayed in many Air BnB’s- this one takes first place. There’s not enough space to write all we loved about this precious mountain home. Being near the stream and hearing it from the porch with a good book or a board game was priceless. Our teenaged sons loved fishing in the creek and caught quite a few trout. The home was beautifully decorated, and was well stocked for any need, with kind extras from the host! The beds and linens were comfy, there were puzzles and games for all, and the kitchen was super nice to cook in, as the owner has thought of everything. We enjoyed hunting waterfalls nearby, and eating at small interesting cafes. Thank you for sharing your home. We will most certainly return to this amazing cabin for some more memory making. Highly recommend! 👌🏻

Located in the heart of the Pisgah National Forest, this place was perfect for our Memorial Day week getaway. The host's guidebook had some fantastic local recommendations. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows, making s'mores and relaxing in the hot tub. Loved that you could hear the river stream while sitting on the porch drinking your morning coffee. The pet-friendly policy was a blessing. The property was completely fenced, which was a bonus. We felt safe letting the dogs explore the property. Would definitely recommend!

We had an amazing stay at the Waterfall House. The house was comfortable, beautifully decorated, and well appointed with all the things you needed for a comfortable stay. The house was secluded and situated in scenic and pristine mountain setting. We opened the windows and enjoyed the relaxing sounds of the creek and waterfall that was just steps from the house. We spent time enjoying a morning cup of coffee and a glass of wine on the large front porch listening to the sounds of nature and watching local wildlife. This is a definite return stay. The property owners were informative and responsive. We were nervous about damage to the surrounding area from Helene but this was not an issue. We extended our stay by a day because we had such a great time.

Perfect Peaceful Nature get away for families. The lake is just down the hill with kayaks and SUP ready to be used with nice covered picnic tables. Hikes are walkable from the house. Kitchen was well stocked and we felt right at home. Micheal was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay.

This is by far my new all time favorite rental. The home is cozy, clean, and perfectly located. The private hiking trail has some of the most beautiful waterfalls I’ve ever seen. If you’re a waterfall lover, this is the place for you! And my dad had an amazing time trout fishing. Great host too- he responds quickly to any questions and had so much information available for me to easily figure out the trail system and local things to do. I hope to come back again and again.

This was a wonderful experience! The cabin (house) is gorgeous and so well-appointed! Chocolates and wine, helpful instructions, and stocked with everything you could want or need! The host was SO responsive, helpful, and kind! Highly recommend!!

We had such a great stay at this house. It’s tucked away in the woods, super peaceful, and just has a really cool vibe overall. The home itself is beautiful, huge windows, cozy fireplaces, and that awesome open layout that makes it feel super spacious but still warm and welcoming. One of our favorite parts was how quiet and private it felt. You can sit outside and just hear the river in the background, so relaxing. It really felt like a little escape from the world, but still had everything we needed to feel comfortable. If you’re looking for a peaceful, unique place to recharge, I’d definitely recommend it. We loved it!

The home is beautiful, and the yard was so clean and lush. Fresh cut grass with birds during the day and lighting bugs at night. Safe and clean neighborhood. The homes decor was warm and inviting, with all the amenities that are needed. Melinda was very helpful to any question I had about hiking the falls. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

My husband and I stayed at the Lake side Keowee Condo the last week of August. The condo looks exactly like to pictures. Kitchen was beautiful and had all that you would need. There are 2 master bedrooms. One is an ensuite with sliding doors to a small balcony that had a table and chairs. You could see the lake from the balcony . We would have breakfast out here in the morning. The living room had beautiful bay windows which also had lake view. There is a large cabinet in the living room that was stocked with games. The living room also has 2 sets of bunk beds that were like Murphy beds and folded up. We were only 2 people but condo could easily accommodate 10 people. You could walk to the pool but the beach you needed to drive to. Keowee Key is a beautiful community. It was very quiet the week we were there but we were fine with that as we were looking for peaceful few days. We did not play golf but course looked beautiful. There is also a restaurant on property

We enjoyed our stay at Kim's place. It was very convenient to our son's wedding venue on Lake Fairfield. The area is so beautiful and Kim's place was very clean, well appointed and updated. It was easy to find and easy to access per the directions. Kim was always responsive to any questions I had and the clear communication was appreciated. We would definitely book again.

We had a great time! My kids loved going on the canoe in the pond. We also loved going to the pool after a day out apple picking and hiking. The mornings are also peaceful sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee listening to the waterfall.

The condo was absolutely spotless. Beds and linens were amazingly comfortable. Kitchen was designed well which made preparing meals so easy. We all loved how bright the condo was and the view it offered. The grounds were well maintained. We enjoyed the walking trail and the nice large pool. We also took advantage of the pickle ball courts. We went just for a long weekend but my family will definitely consider this condo for a week long vacation.

We booked last minute and by that, a day and a half before we arrived. Darlene responded within minutes and made arrival so easy with perfect directions/information. Darlene checked in with us during our visit and with the welcome packet Darlene sent us, I had minimal if any questions. The place exceeded our expectations and was so very close to the club and all the amenities. View was beyond! The only negative was we never saw a bear. 😂 We will be back!

This was the perfect place for my husband and I to stay for a family reunion with our twin 6yo daughters. It was cozy so I would say that more than two adults would find it difficult to share the space unless you only needed a space to sleep. The place was clean, had a lovely porch to enjoy the lake views, and was very comfortable.

We absolutely loved our stay here! We came with our 4 year old and our teenager. Both of them had a great time and had plenty of things to do that they both enjoyed, which is not usually the case with their age gap. The place itself had lots of toys and books for my toddler and her own bed. There were also games to play with my teenager as well. The kitchen was fully stocked and the house had all the little details like beach towels, an airfryer, and a picnic basket. The screened porch was a favorite location for all us to enjoy. We even saw a bear one day from the porch! The resort was a blas!. We utilized both in the indoor and outdoor pools, the mini golf, and the lake. We had no problem finding good food at the restaurants around us and the store was super close as well. We spent half of our time at the resort and half of it out exploring the nature surrounding us. There were sooo many waterfalls to see. It is such a beautiful area, we will most definitely be coming back!
