SARUYA - Twin Room #8 in Modern Traditional Hostel

Our private room features 1 or 2 futon beds on traditional tatami floors. The shared areas include bathrooms, dining space and a work/lounge/library area. The hostel Saruya Hostel opened in 2015 in Fujiyoshida, a city at the bottom of Mt Fuji. We renovated an 80 years old wooden house to create a place that allows our guests to experience time and space through carefully selected art, design and objects, mixing traditional Japanese inspiration with modern aesthetics.

Shizuoka, guesthouse & coffeeshop「Hitoyado」

12 minutes on foot from Shizuoka station, Hitoyado is a guest house with a renovated 50 year old coffee shop on the first floor. There are restaurants and public baths in the neighborhood. It offers a simple breakfast for 500 yen (your choice of drink and toast).
