Nature eco lodge holiday rentals in Texas

Itching on isolation, we were looking for a halfway point between cities to meet and safely visit with kids in tow, and Mill Creek Ranch Resort delivered beyond our expectations. Cozy, cute, well-appointed cabins allowed light packing and made us feel right at home. We were so comfortable, and our youngest two loved their loft room! The resort staff were exceptionally present, responsive, courteous, and attuned to coronavirus safety measures. Tons of outdoor activities to keep the kids happy, and beautiful scenery. Blows a hotel room out of the water for just a little bit more, and I imagine five times better when there's no pandemic. We would love to go back. And their cabins for sale are more than tempting!

This was our second stay at this property and it never disappoints! Love the scenery, saw lots of wild life and the ponies are so cute! This is our go to place to stay when visiting Fredrickburg.

Our family vacation started out a little rough with another airbnb and location. Thankfully we found Vicky and Micky and they able to turn our whole vacation around for us. They were amazing host's! They answered all of our questions and helped make our vacation memorable.

Our stay at the Study Butte was great! It was easy to find and the room was very clean. They had all the amenities we needed with the bonus of having a pool, which was our favorite part. We would definitely come back!

I was absolutely blown away by this place. Everything was pristine, up-to-date, well maintained and stylish. Sarah was an excellent communicator and everything exceeded my expectations. This is a great place to escape the city and will be my new go to when I need a break from Austin life. 10/10!

My fiance and I spent 2 nights here and are already planning our return! It is absolutely stunning and very clean. From the scenery around, to the views and calmness of the grounds you will immediately feel at such peace. We highly, highly recommend staying here!

Sarah place was great! Talk about peaceful! We were a little concerned about the bathrooms and showers not being in the units. The bathroom was very conveniently placed and the showers were a quick walk. I was very impressed with how clean the showers were. We plan on coming back with friends to grill out and relax. Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to get out in nature and reconnect! Kobe was there working on the grounds making sure everything was perfect. Great guy!

This was a perfect getaway spot! Really quiet, everyone being really respectful of the amenities. The night skies are amazing, the nature is beautiful. You are in the wild out here - we spotted scorpions, larger spiders, armadillos on the property! The pools are perfect for cooling down on a warm day. Really amazing to feel like you're in some version of "camp" while still having AC, great coffee and linens, and full bathrooms! Sarah was a really responsive and helpful host.

I cannot say enough about this incredible jewel of a place. The hosts were so gracious and generous, and their property is so beautiful and well cared for. I felt like I was a million miles away from civilization, even though we were ten minutes from the airport and downtown McCallen! We were there for a birding tour, so it included meals at the Peculiar Nest, and we couldn't believe the bounteous gourmet food that our host, Lois, prepared for us. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Wonderful resort! Book it!

This was our first time here and definitely won’t be our last. There’s so much to do for the whole family. The kids loved fishing, swimming, and the paddle boats the most. We loved the cottage and the master bed was so comfortable too. Everyone is so kind and the service was awesome too. A maintenance man stopped on his golf cart while I was walking our dog just to pet him and give him a dog biscuit. We can’t wait to go back. LOVE this place!!!

Great location, friendly prompt response staff, clean room. Bit smaller than picture but still cozy and clean👍. Pool also clean enough and water was ICY cold! 👍. Kitchen area little dark but that makes even more antique. Share kitchen tools were all cleaned as well. Refrigerator worked well separated each shelves for unit 1-4.

Was a beautiful place!! Would love to stay again!can’t wait to see the add ons they are doing!

This was a perfect place to stay and disconnect! It was quiet and relaxing. The views at night were beautiful. The room was comfortable and exactly what I was hoping for!
