Rijs and its surroundings offer numerous watersport activities, biking and walking trails. Minutes away, you can find great restaurants and woodland excursions, or stroll a little further to the beach. Nearby towns offer notable shopping, cultural events, golf or horse riding. The grocery store is 1.5 km away, and the shopping district is just 5 km away!

Wonderful 6-person holiday home in the meadows and on the open water in the heart of the Frisian lakes. Not suitable for groups of young people. Our house is in a unique location, among the meadows and right on the open water. Here you have the holiday feeling right away! From the beautiful garden you have a wide view, you can sit in the sun on one of the two terraces on the water, swim in front of the door and from the private jetty (12 m) you can sail up the Frisian lakes.

Vacation home Friesland Woudsend

Our cottage is located directly on the water and offers you the possibility to dock your boat at a 16 m long private jetty. Due to the south orientation of the property, the garden is in the sun all day long. The new, modern kitchen includes a dishwasher, coffee machine, gas stove, oven and microwave. Dear guests, unfortunately, I have been forced to increase prices by 12% for 2026, as the government has increased VAT from 9% to 21%. I hope you ALL come back anyway.

This large luxury and stylish 12-person villa is surrounded by water on three sides and is a stone's throw away from Heeg Centrum and the Heegermeer. These new (2023) thatched villas of Wetterhaghe have a beautiful unobstructed view over the Poelen, the Weisleat, in the middle of the Frisian lakes area. The sustainable villas have their own jetty with possibly a beautiful 8-person electrosloep! The sloop is available between April 1 and November 1. Just sail to the village for a drink or in the morning to the bakery for fresh sandwiches. But also a day trip over the Frisian lakes is a quiet sensation!
