Houseboat holiday rentals in Súdwest-Fryslân

Me and my girlfriend had a romantic retreat at Emil's houseboat in Alkmaar and we couldn't have chosen a better place! We liked literally everything: swimming in the canals, walking around an old and beautiful town which is so close to the houseboat, cycling to the sea and dining there. Thank you so much to Emil for a wonderful place

We had a great time in Leeuwarden. The houseboat was ideal for us as we were there primarily for fishing. We were able to fish right outside the front door and there were some good spots in the immediate vicinity.

We had a lovely time on the houseboat. Amid the birds, it's very well laid out. The road is not far but you can't hear it inside and the view of Kampen is very pretty. It's easy to walk to town. We did not meet Raoul but the organization of the arrival and departure was very smooth. We recommend it.

We had a wonderful family weekend here. The location is easy to find and is in a beautiful setting. The view is fantastic, on the water, in the countryside, lots of birds. The place exactly matches the listing. Room to spread out. Very clean and plenty of towels and kitchen towels. The bathroom is wonderfully spacious and very neat. The kitchen is full of conveniences and much more. There is an information folder and a bookcase with lots of information about the area. The hosts were friendly and responsive. We found all this to be repeatable and were very enthusiastic from start to finish.

This is a special place to stay. You do not sleep in an old cargo ship all days. In addition, there is a separate room where you can sit and eat, with a kitchen and a toilet/bathroom. Well equipped all. The host and hostess are friendly and very helpful. Surroundings are fantastic. We kwamewn to fish and have gotten very much into us. In short, we had a great stay.

Had a great stay on Janny's cozily furnished houseboat. Ideal base to visit the villages with a sloop nearby or not. In Stavoren itself was a bit quiet during this time of the year, but that certainly didn't spoil the fun.

We had a lovely stay in Raoul and Hester's place. The ark is moored in a quiet side channel of the Ijssel and therefore in extremely calm waters (no bow waves of passing craft). Many ducks, geese, swans and loads of other birds around enjoying the tranquil surroundings, as we did. Despite the out-of-the-way location, it's only a 10min stroll to Kampen - cross the bridge and you're basically right in the heart of the old city. Couple of decent eateries and pubs in a small area. The ark itelf is a little dated but well equipped and feels very homely. If you're going in winter, bring some wood to get that wood stove going and it'll be quite comfy in no-time. Everything works, nice double bed and good shower. Communication with Raoul and his parents-in-law excellent. Can't recommend enough if you're after some peace and tranquility.

My partner and I had the MOST WONDERFUL stay at Walter and Annemarie’s place, alongside with their lovely two cats. The location was idillic set in a quaint village. We wanted to escape the busy city of London to relax and enjoy nature and we got exactly that. Walter also prepared the rowing boat for us to use. We both worked during our stay. The Internet was great for my work, and I had a lot of calls. The work station by the window was ideal - best view ever. My partner went into Amsterdam a few times, the bus was very on time and convenient. We had everything we needed during the week stay. We cooked a lot. The kitchen was very well stocked with pots & pans, crockery etc. The supermarket is just 10 mins walk away which was fantastic. We were able to do a load of laundry,too. I could go forever.. it was just phenomenal, and how Airbnb was originally intended for. We didn’t want to leave. Will definitely come back again.

Absolutely brilliant houseboat. Super nicely decorated - very modern - equipped with everything you need. It was sparkling clean and cozy. We felt completely comfortable and enjoyed the life on the houseboat very much (a great experience). The boat includes a sup, which we tried despite the season. In and around the boat is very quiet and yet you are almost in the middle of it - it is only a few meters to the actual place. Really great: the supermarket is right across the street. Anita and Diedert are great and very attentive hosts, whom we did not meet in person but the communication with them was excellent. We would love to come again.

There were four of us in the beautiful houseboat and we enjoyed the time very much. There is everything you need for a short stay on the boat. It is modernly decorated and you feel very comfortable. It is a very calm environment. Of course, it swings something in the wind - but that should be clear if you go on a boat:) Shops are very close.

The houseboat and the associated boat are immaculately clean and modern and sufficiently equipped. It's enough to do it all: from kitchen utensils (there are even thermal cups and boarders) to a Bluetooth speaker and (our highlight! ) an infrared lamp for the frozen. On the roof terrace you can end the days nicely.

Our stay at the boathouse in Lemmer was just amazing! The location right on the water was fantastic, and the house itself was perfectly equipped – there was nothing missing. Particularly noteworthy is the incredibly friendly host, who warmly welcomed us and made our stay an unforgettable experience. We felt comfortable from the beginning and were able to enjoy the week to the fullest. Everything was perfectly organized, clean and cozy. We highly recommend this special experience and would be happy to come back!

Houseboat is very neat with good shower and beds. Large fridge, nice chairs including roof terrace. The village of Woudsend is a 5-minute walk, nice terraces with a large supermarket and coziness. Houseboat is located between harbours/sheds which is not a problem in itself, views over the harbor/waterfront. Car parking behind a secure fencing. Sloepje is new and runs well with 15 hp motor, we really sailed a lot! Fuel is 300 meters away and the boat also has an additional jerry can for 10 liters of gasoline. Pans and cutlery, plenty of glasses and cups , hob and filter coffee machine, bed linen and towels. We were 4 adults, sailing during the day and relax on the terrace of the houseboat in the evening. The disadvantage was the mosquitoes, but the host can't change that hahaha, a small air conditioning was not a superfluous luxury. Definitely recommended, we had nice days in Woudsend.

The stay with Frauke and Thomas was super nice and very special! The impeccable and unproblematic communication with Patrick was also great, we were even able to rent the boat spontaneously. An unforgettable weekend, highly recommended and happy to come back!

we had a wonderful getaway on the houseboat as a small family. There was everything you needed. There were many possibilities for business and that we were already allowed to use the sloop was an absolute highlight. If we had a question, we always got a super quick answer. A very nice family, great boat. we would come back any time.

We enjoyed staying on the houseboat located in a very quiet area at the marina. The property is right on the harbor overlooking it and is right on the water back. It offers all the amenities you need for a holiday. The host is extremely nice and was helpful at all times and has already offered support when booking and responded flexibly to requests. The location is ideal to cross the adjacent Alde Faenen National Park, e.g. by rented boat (independently via Greenjoy in the harbor). Also can visit beautiful cities nearby such as Leuwarden, Sneek, Joure etc. I fully recommend the accommodation.

We were there 7 days. Peter came by specially after 3 days and brought fresh towels. We were very pleased with the place and the communication was always quick and friendly. The houseboat is small but nice. Thank you, we'd love to come back.

A very nice and special shelter, sun in the morning and on the water. Everything you needed was there. Even cuddly blankets and coffee. The car could be parked in front of the accommodation. Thanks very much. Lena and Karina

We had a wonderful time in Marian’s place. It’s very cute, with the bedroom partly under water level, which makes it extra romantic. Its super central and it had everything we needed for a weekend in Leeuwarden. Marian was also very responsive and flexible. Would recommend!

The stay was great. Awesome atmosphere and apartment. Very clean, big kitchen with utensils. Great bathroom and shower. Comfortable bed. Once waking up and opening the bedroom window, you could see the water right away, with ducks swimming by! Very friendly and communicative hosts. We already recommended the place to a friend!
