"De Gulle pracht" Holiday home, Friesland

Our cozy vacation cottage, originally was an old stable that we (Caroline and Jan) converted together, with lots of love and respect for the old details and materials, into this "Gulle Pracht". Through a private driveway with parking, you reach the terrace with the spacious garden, a lawn with surrounding tall trees, where you can enjoy. Through the two French doors, you step into the bright and cozy living room with the white old beams and a fully equipped open kitchen. There is wireless internet available, TV and DVD. Because of the ceiling in the living room that has been removed, beautiful light falls in from the skylights and you have a view of the roof structure with the old round hoods. The beds are located on top of the two lofts. The comfortable double bed is accessed by an open staircase. The other loft, where a third or fourth bed can possibly be made, is only accessible by flexible guests via a ladder. It is not suitable for small children because of the danger of falling, but older children find it exciting to sleep there. Please note, the two lofts share the same large open space. Under the old beams, you can sleep peacefully, where only the sound of rustling trees, whistling birds or your deliciously snoring bedmate will be heard. The room is heated by central heating, but also only the wood-fired stove can heat the cottage comfortably. You will be provided with enough wood from us to start a cozy fire. Through an old stable door in the living room, you come to the bathroom with beamed ceiling and underfloor heating. The bathroom has a good shower, double sink and toilet. With its inlaid mosaics and all kinds of funny and old details, this space is also a feast for the eyes. There are two bicycles available for nice trips in the wider area (Harlingen, Franeker Bolsward). We may want to drop you off in Harlingen for a crossing to Terschelling. You can leave the car in our yard for a while. We, ourselves, live in the farmhouse which is in the same yard. We are available for help, information and advice for fun trips in our beautiful Friesland. Your cottage and our farmhouse are separated by our garden and the big old barn (with pool table), so we both have our own space and privacy. Kimswerd, located on the eleven city route is a small, quiet and beautiful village where our Frisian hero "de Grutte Pier" was born and lived. He still watches over us, in petrified form, at the beginning of our little street, next to the centuries-old Church, which is very much worth visiting as well. You can do your shopping in Harlingen, the supermarket is a fifteen minute bike ride away. The old port of Harlingen is 10 km from our cottage. Kimswerd is located just across the Afsluitdijk. From there, follow the signs N31 Harlingen/Leeuwarden/Zurich and take the first exit at Kimswerd, 1st right at the traffic circle, 1st right again at the next traffic circle, straight ahead at the intersection, across the bridge and immediately take the first left (Jan Timmerstraat). At the beginning of this street, next to the church, stands the statue of the Grutte Pier. We live in the farmhouse behind the church, Jan Timmerstraat 6, first wide gravel path on the right. - For small children, sleeping on the loft without a fence is not advisable because of the danger of falling. It's just fun for big kids, the loft is accessible by a ladder. Please note, it is 1 large open space upstairs with no privacy.

Unique views from your apartment and terraces. The large terraces on three sides of the house are all yours, so you can always find a space in the sun or in the shade. The west side has an amazing view of the IJsselmeer, the other sides have excellent views too. Two small beaches at walking distance. Free Wifi. "Welkom in ons gezellige plekje in het hart van Sneek! Tussen de waterpoort en de watertoren staat onze smaakvol ingerichte stadsboerderij. Geniet van een comfortabel verblijf, op loopafstand van het historische centrum. Het huis beschikt over een moderne keuken, een comfortabele woonkamer met tv, twee slaapkamers en een badkamer met douche. Woning beschikt over een terras. Gratis wifi is aanwezig. Parkeren kan naast de woning en is gratis. We hopen je snel te mogen ontvangen!

It is a new 2-person apartment. It is an upper floor, with an easy and safe to enter wide staircase and a private corridor.You have no neighbors downstairs. It has a spacious balcony, where you can enjoy the beautiful views. There is a lake in front of the house. It is located near the Elfstedenstadtje Workum. Partly known for the Jopie House Museum. It is also close to the Eisselmeer for kite surfers. From this apartment you can make wonderful bikes or hikes, or unwind and enjoy.

Op loopafstand van het centrum van Bolsward, aan de Workumertrekvaart, de originele Friese Elfstedenroute, ligt onze landelijk gelegen boerderij. Wij bieden u in deze landelijke en waterrijke omgeving een royale kamer aan, die voorzien is van een groot tweepersoonsbed, (2x0.90), tv/zit-hoek en een geheel nieuwe badkamer met jacuzzi. Extra slaapgelegenheid is mogelijk. Deze nieuwe ruimte hebben wij gerealiseerd in onze voormalige koeienstal, die grenst aan onze privéwoning.

In watersportdorp Terherne aan het Sneekermeer. Het Kameleon avonturen park, cafe, restaurants en de mooiste kerk/trouwlocatie van Friesland om de hoek. U slaapt op de begane grond (2 sk + eigen badk.+eigen keuken+ eigen grote woonkamer (50 m2) met hoge plafonts en openhaard. eigen ingang. 3e slaapkamer is boven via het voorhuis. Buiten aan het water je eigen terras. Ook geschikt voor groeps werk met een grote werk tafel. Vintage dus mooi, oud en gezellig. Maar niet spotless.

Cozy loft with rural views!

The apartment is located in a very idyllic, quiet place in the beautiful Frisian landscape near the IJsselmeer. Originally, the loft was a cooking studio, where delicious dishes were cooked. The loft is spacious and has been completely converted since June 2020. It offers a lot of privacy, tranquility, a private terrace (with rural views) and free parking. In the beautiful surroundings, close to Hindeloopen and Stavoren, you can enjoy hiking, biking and boating.
