Waterfront holiday rentals in Stichtse Vecht

Very nice accommodation in wonderful surroundings. Our son was fascinated by the chicken coop and the pot-bellied pig that came to visit us outside at breakfast. The owner is very nice and gave us tips about the accommodation and the process. Our highlight was the view from the bedroom to the field and the outdoor hot tub. The apartment is very clean, stylish and tastefully decorated, everything was there. The location is great, very close to Amsterdam and Utrecht. There are many restaurants, cafes and shops nearby, accessible by car. We are very satisfied and gladly recommend the accommodation. Kind regards

We really loved the neighbourhood & Alida's beautiful place. It's very peaceful, family-safe and really beautiful area surrounded by the nature. We walked a lot near her place with our dog and enjoyed the view so much. Everyone seemed nice and friendly. Even it's a bit far from Amsterdam center, we could luckily find the uber/taxi. (30euro uber/80euro taxi to the town) We would love to come back with a car next time :) Her place looked very organized and clean (just the balcony was a bit dusted maybe because of the rain or rainy weather lately) and was so spacious to stay for 3 people. We would never find this type of place at this price in the town.

We had a great stay at this accommodation in Vinkeveen. The apartment is even more spacious and bright than the photos showed. The decoration is neat, the sofa and bedding very comfortable. The accommodation is very well equipped: functional kitchen, nice bathroom with bathtub, washing machine, dryer, linen provided, etc. Everything is designed for a comfortable stay, whether for a few days or longer. The real plus is the private terrace overlooking the water. A beautiful place to have coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening at sunset. The neighborhood is quiet, perfect for relaxing, and Amsterdam is easily accessible in 15 minutes by car, allowing you to enjoy the city while staying in a quieter setting. Frederique is a responsive and welcoming host. I would definitely recommend this place and will not hesitate to come back.

Booked this for my parents. I was looking for something without stairs and parking, close to the city and easy to visit outside of the city. This fit all of the requirements, and the hosts were absolutely fantastic in accommodating their needs. I hear they have an amazing restaurant onsite. If my travels bring me to Amsterdam I’m definitely staying here!

The accommodation is surrounded by nature between the meadows and a canal with mills! Access may surprise the first time because it is a very narrow road but traffic is low so we don't cross too many cars! The children watched the storks that had made their nest just above the accommodation, it was a nice surprise. It was a very quiet and relaxing place.

We had four great days in the accommodation (three of us). The location of the accommodation is excellent, in a busy area and yet somewhat secluded, as it is above the harbour basin. The view from the roof terrace is super beautiful in the morning, as well as in the evening. Spacious apartment with space. In the kitchen block, a few things are missing (cutting board, sieve) and there is no real oven, only a large multifunctional device with grill function and microwave. The excursion destinations are super diverse and there is something for everyone (sporting activities on the water and outside), trips to Amsterdam or Utrecht, bike tours, museums... Catherine or the colleagues from the port office are always available during the day if you have any questions. Note: The accommodation can only be reached via an external spiral staircase. Upon arrival, it was unclear where to park, the area was closed to residents with a card. Random passerby could help us. (park along the street and definitely pay for parking ticket 3.5€ /24h.) The apartment was very nice and spacious, large terrace with beautiful views, large bedrooms, clean bathroom and kitchen. It was also very quiet during our stay. Easily accessible from the village centre and from Utrecht. We had a very enjoyable stay. We also had a nice meal in 'het boothuys', a restaurant 200m from the app.

Great apartment, very neat and clean, comfy beds and spacious bath, cute terrace, nice kitchen and living area. We stayed here mostly to see Utrecht, so if that’s your plan, know that a Bolt or Uber ride to Utrecht Centraal is 25-30 Euros, and on Saturday afternoon it was over 50. There is a bus (B12) that goes to a stop on the train to Utrecht, which would be much cheaper if you’re timing is right. Check out the Ethiopian restaurant across the corner!

If you’re looking for a quiet and welcoming place to stay, this is the perfect spot. The four of us really enjoyed our time here. Peter-Jan gave us a warm welcome upon arrival and shared some helpful tips. While the routes along the canals make the journeys a bit longer, the travel time to Utrecht or Amsterdam is absolutely reasonable. We’d be happy to come back!

We really enjoyed our stay! After a long day of traveling, we greatly appreciated the quiet and beautiful surroundings, especially the extremely comfortable beds! The only issue we encountered was that the previous guests had left the downstairs windows open, resulting in a lot of flies inside the house. Esther's team tried to remove as many flies as possible before our arrival, and they provided us with an electric fly swatter to handle the remaining ones. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Amsterdam or the Abcoude area!

We had a great week at the chalet and really recommend staying there! The environment is very quiet and peaceful with lots of nature. Still you can easily reach cities like Amsterdam quickly. Maurice and Ashley are very kind and caring hostess, they always replied immediately to our messages.

The house was very well equipped for a family gathering. The kitchen was great for preparing family meals. We were 8 for part of our stay and the large dining room and lounge were ideal for our group. You do need a car or bike to get into Abcoude. Frustratingly parking in Abcoude is not good with 2 hour time limit so bit of a hassle to go to Amsterdam by train as required parking quite a distance from the station and walking but we figured a way that worked for us. The little restaurant next door is busy particularly at weekends but is handy for a bite to eat or a drink. The house has a lovely countryside setting which suited us but does come with drawbacks for example the WiFi isn’t great and the abundant bird life can be ‘messy’ but that’s nature😊 Would definitely stay again.

We felt right at home in Irene and Maurice's house, it was very well laid out, nicely and comfortably furnished. The large windows and the beautiful view were a highlight for us! We were also very pleased with the many tips and information from Irene and Maurice. Overall, we lacked nothing and we highly recommend this accommodation.

We had a great time. The house and the facilities are great, everything you need for a relaxing stay is there. Everything was clean and tidy. Unfortunately the house was very cold when we arrived, the underfloor heating takes a while to warm up. If you arrive in the evening or in the dark, the access to the first jetty is a bit difficult to find, maybe a sign would help. But we can only recommend the house and will certainly come back again.

The house is idyllically located on an island strip and can be reached by boat. Bas introduced us to everything uncomplicated and relaxed and we had a very nice holiday in the house

This apartment was amazing for our quick trip to Amsterdam. The location is perfect—right on one of the main canals and walkable to everything. Helena was such a gracious host and gave us some great recs for vintage shopping, drinks, and eats. The space was well appointed and she was so flexible with our arrival and departure times. I would 100% recommend this place and would stay here again on a future visit.

The Condominium is in a nice quiet part of Amsterdam, but still easy to get to city centre. Was very clean and comfortable.

We had a great stay! Hugo was easy to contact, gave us many local recommendations, and easy to follow directions. The place was clean, had a great view, and is on a quiet street. Location was great, very walkable to all of the main tourist attractions. We were worried about not having a tv but didn’t miss it. Just a heads up to people in the U.S.-bring wash cloths to Europe. All 3 of the Airbnb’s that we stayed at did not provide them. I read that they consider it a personal item, like a toothbrush, and expect you to bring your own. Thank you Hugo!

This place was wonderful! It was just as described. We enjoyed listening to the birds (wild parakeets and others) as we sat on the balcony in the mornings. The stairs are steep and narrow but that is just part of being in Amsterdam. One thing to note, there are 2 showers, 2 sinks, but only 1 toilet. It didn’t cause any problem for me, but those staying in the first floor bedroom will have to climb up stairs in the middle of the night. Overall, I highly recommend!

We enjoyed staying at Fleur’s apartment. It is very close to a tram stop which made it easy to get around, and it was well situated between the main areas of the city, making it a good base to explore from. The apartment was nice - it had everything we needed for a couple days in the city. The only thing to note is that the stairs within the apartment (from living area to bedroom) are narrow and steep, but this seems quite typical of stairs in this area- the same was true of stairs in restaurants in the area. Overall we had a great stay and I would stay there again!

Morningstar is a beautiful place to stay. The apartment is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The location could not be better. It is right across the canal from The Ann Frank house. There are many wonderful cafes and restaurants nearby. The hosts have thought of everything. I would highly recommend to anyone!

It was an overall very pleasant stay which i enjoyed a lot. Wilma and her family are warm-hearted and absolutely welcoming. The apartment is very nice and exactly as described.
