Peaceful haven of calm and tranquility, with the most friendly and helpful hosts, and what a view! We loved our few days at The Lookout.

We had a lovely stay at this lovely 2-bedroom apartment overlooking the sea. The photos were accurate and the view was just as stunning in person. As a family of four, we really appreciated the space—the apartment was very clean, comfortable, and had plenty of room for everyone to relax. The hosts were responsive and helpful, always quick to reply to any messages. Although the weather wasn’t great during our visit, it didn’t take away from the overall experience—if anything, it’s a good excuse to come back and enjoy it again in better weather!

Close to the beach and pier

I had the most wonderful stay in Carla’s beautiful annexe. The location is incredible. Being able to sit at the end of the garden in the mornings watching the sea was so wonderful. It was just so peaceful and tranquil and was exactly what I needed! Plus you can be on the beach in 2 mins. The Annexe itself was absolutely perfect, spotlessly clean and no details had been overlooked. Really comfy sofa and bed and beautifully furnished. Carla was a wonderful host and nothing was too much trouble. All in all this was a perfect stay for a short break away from the business of life. I would definitely return when I am looking for some time to myself. Thank you so much Carla for your hospitality 🙏🏻🥰

Fantastic place to stay in Hastings. The photos don’t do it justice - such a nice calm and historic feeling space and really sympathetically restored. We loved the art and decor. Amazing central location too. Recommend!

Demi and Rich were perfect hosts. Very happy to help with recommendations about things to see and do in the surrounding area and great restaurant suggestions. The flat was gorgeous. Clean, comfortable and smelt amazing. Thanks so much for having us!

Beverly‘s flat is incredibly charming and tucked away in a quiet street of the old town, with direct access to the Hastings Country Park. The view onto the old town is really one of a kind and it feels like you are looking out onto a postcard! I had a wonderful time in the flat, the living room is beautifully decorated, the kitched is new and has everything you need, and the old town is only a 5 minute walk away. Bevery has also been so kind to provide lots of recommendations for the area, which I found very useful.

A wonderful apartment and Lauren is fantastic at communicating. The apartment felt larger than we expected probably because of the lovely high ceilings. The place was super clean and it was great to find milk bread and other basics already there. The lounge area overlooks the sea, which was lovely, though there is a road in front. It was great to be able to just pop across to the beach and we had a fabulous meal at The Farmyard at Lauren’s recommendation. This and others are just a short walk away. St Leonards and Hastings both have a bit of a gritty edge to them, but that also means lots of interesting independent and unusual shops, which we love, and are sadly missing from so many high streets now. Highly recommended.

Dan’s flat got a great range of tech gadgets which are super easy to adapt to and the place is really nice, we helped ourselves to some beer and prosecco. Dan’s been super responsive and considerate. Will definitely come back for more staycations thanks Dan!!!

We had such a lovely stay in this very central and cosy flat. Really nicely decorated with all the essentials for cooking. A very generous welcome basket. Great shower and really comfy bed with a cute terrace just outside the bedroom.

Deborah was incredibly friendly and helpful with any questions I had about the area. Her apartment is beautiful with lovely sea views and was really welcoming and comforting. We had a wee accident with the sofa and Deborah was super understanding and helpful. I couldn’t recommend this flat more! The area is super lovely, lots of independent bars and restaurants and only a 25 min walk from Hastings

We all had a great time at Lorna‘s place. Lovely space and really well equipped and everything was comfortable. I think the only issue we had was that it was very warm when we were there and there were only a couple of fans but not the end of the world. It’s super close to the beach and the Source Park. Would not be ideal for anybody with mobility issues though because it’s up four flights of stairs and you have to use the key safe continually, which can be a bit of a faff.

We really enjoyed our stay in Paul's flat. The flat itself is very light and airy with lots of windows and lovely views over the park and out to the sea. The place was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our short stay. Self check-in and out was very straight forward and easy, Paul's instructions were clear and we had no issues. Flat is in a nice location, right next to a park and walking distance from the train station and everything around town. Note it is on the top floor of the building with no elevator, with some stairs inside the flat also - not a problem at all for us but perhaps something to consider if mobility is an issue. Overall we would highly recommend Paul's place and would happily stay again next time we are in St Leonards.

We are quite particular about where we stay when travelling around, and I’ve got to say, this property is a superb example as to how “AirBnB” should be done! It’s to an exceptional standard , with much thought and attention to detail into the essentials and nice to haves a guest may require. The fit out is superb, the location is as equally superb. Immaculate throughout, something we look for when booking a property to stay at. All in all, a superb stay, great value for money and we will most definitely be back again. We had a wonderful stay at Nicola’s flat. The space was beautifully presented and spacious - even more so in real life than the photos show - and was very clean. Nicola was also accommodating with our arrival time and offered great local recommendations. We hope to stay again!

Great few days visiting family in the area.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this apartment. It had absolutely everything we needed. Sandra was a wonderful host, very responsive and made special accommodations for our requirements - nothing was too much trouble for her! There was a beautiful welcome basket, slippers, fluffy big towels provided as well as additional items in case you forgot something. The little touches really made us feel special and welcome. Everything is very well laid out and instructions are faultless from checking in to checking out. The apartment was SPOTLESS, I don't think I have stayed in a cleaner place ever. It was really a gem of a find on Air BNB and really reasonably priced. The local information was spot on and the location of the apartment was fantastic. Really a short walk to the beach and main high street. Hastings is very close and is a wonderful day out. We are so enamoured with the apartment we are already planning a return! Great place, feels like home and perfectly located in the town centre and next to the beach. The place was very clean and nicely decorated. Hanna was super responsive and helpful. Recommended. Would happily stay there again.

Pebbleview is a unique spot in a beautiful location. The hosts were very helpful and communicative and did everything to make my stay comfortable. It’s a home from home.

This is a beautiful home from home, it felt like staying with friends. We visited at Easter and there were two chocolate rabbits waiting for the kids, which was a lovely touch. The kitchen, living area and main bedroom are spacious and this is a great area. Close to the beach, train station, bars and restaurants. A lovely stay and we’d go back again.

We had a lovely stay in Katie’s place in Hastings during the May Day weekend. The apartment is in a great location; 10 mins walk to the Old Town and not far from a large supermarket. Alexandra pk (which is beautiful) is also very close. Katie was very responsive and answered and queries we had within minutes. The apartment had everything we needed including a swing and netball hoop in the garden. Would definitely return and recommend Katie’s place to anyone looking for a weekend in Hastings!

the Bronte suite above the Apothecary coffee house was spacious, beautifully decorated, with all amenities etc. It's in a central location on the high street which means you're 5 minutes walk to any part of the town, or 10 minutes to the car park if you park in gibbet marsh like we did (very cheap; other car parks are available). Rye is popular with tourists so the high street is quite busy and this is noticeable at pub closing time, so be prepared. The house is grade 2 listed so no double glazing. I can recommend the Lemongrass restaurant if you like Thai food, and the Mermaid if you like a historic setting and delicious nouvelle cuisine. I would definitely recommend, we had a lovely time . Also the host Michael was very responsive when I was struggling with the key safe! (be prepared to squat on the ground to operate it!)

We had a wonderful stay in this fantastic apartment by the sea. The apartment is fully and stylishly furnished and leaves nothing to be desired. The view of the sea is breathtaking, and it's a very special experience to live so close to nature. Lucy was always very friendly and approachable and provided us with all the information we needed. We leave this place richer in every respect ...
