Nestled between up to 3000 meters high mountains, is our Murtalhütte, away from the municipality of Muhr im Lungau in the Salzburger Land. Our vacationers appreciate not being able to take a vacation in any of a “HUT VILLAGE” of a holiday. We are located on the edge of the largest nature reserve in the Alps – the HIGH TAUERN National Park in the Lungau-Nockberge Biosphere Park. Surrounded by the Lower and Radstädter Tauern, the Murtalhütte is located at 1,120m above sea level (easily accessible by car in winter) in a unique and unmistakable mountain landscape. You will find fantastic alpine pastures, mountains with glaciers, crystal clear mountain water, 60 deep blue mountain lakes, breathtaking waterfalls, combined with an animal and flora you won't find anywhere else in this diversity.
