Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Sintra

We just finished a fabulous five night stay and highly recommend. Gui greeted us upon arrival and walked us through the home. It is a historic home so there are some quirks, though nothing crazy. The house was a perfect size for our party of 8 (ages 12-70). The location absolutely cannot be beat - we never walked more than 15 minutes to get anywhere we wanted to go which was much appreciated at the end of the night! There is noise as the home is centrally located but that is a worthwhile trade off for the location. Washer (line dry) worked well and there were umbrellas, towels, sand toys, etc for the beach. We did not cook at the house so cannot provide a review but kitchen was spacious and well stocked. There is only AC in two of the rooms but there are shutters that help keep the heat of the day out and there were two fans available as well. Especially for the price and location, this is a great home for a large group.

Lovely stay, even lovelier host. Super friendly and responsive, and even sent a list of local recommendations for everything one could possibly need during a holiday. Would love to come back as it was such a special home and held spectacular views. Gorgeous vibes 🫶🏻🙏🏻

Very well designed place .. it’s a very quiet and private newly renovated house .. someone put a lot of thought into the architecture and design of every detail .. agent was very easy to communicate with .. everything was perfect

Very good host! She welcomed us with a lot of information and good recommendations for restaurants and visits to Lisbon. The cleaning was impeccable. However, there was a smell of dampness present. Maybe just the concrete buildings that cause this, we are not used to this smell in Quebec. The small intimate corner is inviting! Thank you Annabella for your warm welcome!

Although short, we enjoyed our stay, the house corresponded to the description, located in a pleasant space and close to main areas such as Mafra and Ericeira. We recommend it.

We are locals and rented Mariana's place while we put the finishing touches into our new home which was delayed. Mariana was extremely helpful and understanding with our shifting check in and check out requirements given constant changes with mover and builder schedules. Mariana was so friendly and responsive. She sent us wonderful information to make the most of the area. Since we live here we didn't need it, but anyone coming for a visit will get the best of the best of the local experience. The house was perfect. Great location, great distribution. Great light. The pool was refreshing fun. Everything better than in the pictures and the description. If we ever need to refer anyone to a place to stay in Colares, Mariana's place will be top of the list. Highly recommended....and I have stayed in many Airbnbs all over the world.

Charming and peaceful.Elio was very friendly and helpful to us and spoke very good English which helped since we do not have much Portuguese. The cottage was lovely and the surrounding countryside stunning. We enjoyed the pool and also the little plunge pool just outside our front door.

We had a nice stay at Lenita's house. It is a beautiful place to spend a few nights. There are beautiful beaches and nice restaurants in the area, the supermarket is around the corner. The garden is a quiet and green oasis in the middle of an urban environment, very special.

Beautiful place with beautiful surroundings. Easy to get around if you are renting a car. Lots of beaches and great places to eat nearby and close to Sintra

Elsa is a wonderful Host, just like her incredible villa. From the booking, through the arrival to our departure, we were accompanied with kindness and benevolence throughout this experience. The house is ideal for hosting a large family, or groups. We had an extraordinary stay, in complete privacy, in this vast and comfortable place. A beautiful little cottage close to amazing beaches and nature trails. Celia was also very friendly and most accommodating.

Spacious, spotlessly clean, bright with everything you could need. Very comfortable bed. We really enjoyed our stay. Great host - always responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend Carolina's place. Also a lovely big balcony to sit and have breakfast - would also be an added bonus to have a couple of loungers/comfortable chairs to enjoy this further.

I rented this house for my parents when they were in town for a visit -- it's a great space with an amazing view and they loved it. The kitchen and dining area was great to join them for dinner and if we had planned ahead more we definitely would've taken advantage of the bbq grill in the garden!

An unforgettable week in your holiday home Our week in your holiday home was truly a dream. The panoramic view over the ocean and the beach was breathtaking , waking up to that view every morning was pure magic. What made the stay extra special were the small observations that coloured local life. It was fascinating to see how people enthusiastically took selfies at the most beautiful places. It was also impressive to see how suppliers brought their products down the steep stairs – a true art in itself. The balcony was a true paradise: spacious, comfortable and with a view that invited us to enjoy the surroundings for hours. Although we noticed the musty air in the bedroom, we accepted this. With the tips we received to regulate the humidity, we were able to further optimise our stay. A fan for the night would be a welcome addition to improve the air circulation. What a beautiful, peaceful retreat in nature to enjoy! We really loved walking to the cliffs and surrounding areas. Came across a farmer grazing his heard of goats… our daughter really enjoyed that. The air was crisp and fresh so make sure to take cozy clothes for the mornings and evenings. I would highly recommend and would be happy to return! Manuela was attentive from the beginning to the end, making sure everything was fine. She was very kind and pleasant at all times, and very attentive to our dog. The house was very cozy and quiet. It's true that in the mornings it's very bright and with so much light it's a little difficult for me, but it's fine.
