Rødhættes Hus is a tiny house, which is peaceful and idyllic on the shore of Kovad Bækken, in a clearing in the middle of Rold Skov and overlooking the meadow and forest. Just a stone's throw from the beautiful forest lake St. Øksø. The perfect starting point for hiking and mountain biking in Rold Forest and Rebild Hills or as a quiet shelter in the tranquility of the forest, from which life can be enjoyed, perhaps with the mouse owl hovering over the meadow, the squirrel darting up the tree trunk, a good book in front of the wood stove or coziness in the firelight at night.

Note! Limited bookings spring/summer 2025 due to construction work on the farm! Welcome to Vandbakkegaarden’s Retro House. Here you will find nature, peace and plenty of cosiness in authentic surroundings. The house is the original cottage built around 1930, while we live in a newer house on the property. The house deserves to be lived in and cared for, and you – our guests, contribute to that. We also appreciate offering our guests a different type of holiday and on a budget.

Vestergade itself is quiet. There are many sights in Hobro, among others, Fyrkat. There is a cruise from the Port/Hobro with the paddle steamer Svanen to Bramslev hills and Mariager.

Quiet overnight stay in the charming country house, on a large natural plot. Enjoy the view of the glacial meltwater ravine and the neighbor's grazing cows right outside the front door. Take a walk on the large natural plot, in the forest on the slope down to the small stream, hang out by the small garden pond or get your heart rate up on the garden trampoline. Say hello to the hedgehogs, deer and pheasants on the grounds.

Small house in the countryside (our neighboring house). The house is spacious and cozy. A bedroom with a double bed on the ground floor and also a room with a single bed. One bedroom is on the 1st floor. There is a large hilly plot with lots of nature. And the opportunity to come “home” in our garden, which is called “The Adventure Garden”. No WiFi
