Monthly Rentals in Sicklinghall

Myself and my sister in law have just got back from our stay in Penny's barn. As soon as we arrived, Penny made us feel right at home by showing us around and providing us with homemade sparkling elderflower, sourdough, hen laid eggs, milk and AMAZING homemade biscuits - we couldn't have asked for more. Penny was available whenever we needed her and did everything she could to help and make us feel comfortable. We had such a relaxing and enjoyable time. The garden space of the house is utterly exquisite and an absolute credit to Penny - we spend hours sitting in the sunshine and wandering round the beautiful garden areas (there are so many!) The barn its self was spotless, spacious and so timelessly decorated and was the perfect place for us to stay! We are so thankful to Penny and hope to return one day!

The Manor Croft provided an excellent base for our explorations of National Trust and English Heritage properties dotted throughout the area. It is immediately evident that Kate and Stephen put a lot of love and care into the renovation of this beautiful space and we thoroughly enjoyed coming 'home' each evening to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The kitchen was well-appointed and we enjoyed having the extra space to stretch out both in the living room area as well as the outdoor garden. The bed was comfortable and we fell asleep each evening and woke to the gentle sound of birdsong. Kate and Stephen were very responsive when we had questions and we also appreciated the helpful brochures and local recommendations. The Croft is located in Spofforth, a lovely village with the remains of Spofforth Castle. It serves as a terrific central location for exploring much of what North Yorkshire has to offer. We hope to have the opportunity to return in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay , the cottage was lovely and full of character. The town centre and a large supermarket was a very close walk away. It was an excellent base as close to York, Leeds and numerous other beautiful towns. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. Matthew was a great host.

Just returned from a very chilled out time-felt absolutely home from home whilst we were there. Whenever we were out we talked about returning home-to Linton! No complaints at all, just full of compliments-looking forward to returning soon, thank you too for the milk, jam and biscuits x
