Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Shizuoka

Eiji san’s place is in a great location with lots of amenities. The house is beautifully designed with thoughtful details. The open air bathroom is our favourite where we can have real hot spring bath at home without going anywhere on a rainy day. The washer and dryer are very powerful and fully automatic, which helps us a lot to quickly refresh our clothes during the short stay. It is very convenient especially when traveling with young kids. Overall, we enjoyed our stay as a family of 6 in Eiji san’s place! Thanks for hosting us

Just a few minutes walk from the train and bus. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood. A beautifully and thoughtfully renovated traditional house, all the fixtures and appliances seemed brand new. If you’re a tall person, watch your head!

had a beautiful stay here and we can't wait to come back again and again! got to watch the strawberry moonrise on the beach over the ocean. so gorgeous. the water is crystal clear and the sand feels wonderful. loved watching the surfers each day. really appreciated a full size washer and dryer in the studio apartment. loved the pizza spot downstairs. there is construction from maybe 8am-5pm, but it really wasn't so bothersome to us. we mostly just heard the waves.

愛犬を連れて一泊させていただきました。 2階寝室からの朝日のロケーションが本当に綺麗で、感動しました。 ダイニングテーブルの上にあった市内マップや、その他のアメニティからもゲストへの細やかな気配りを感じられ、 室内もとても清潔で、宿だけでも大満足の旅となりました。 チェックインからチェックアウトまでのご対応も迅速かつ丁寧で、おかげさまで何ひとつ不自由なく、スムーズに過ごすことができました。 ぜひまた利用させていただきたいです^_^

I love every bit of David’s place. It is located in the peaceful neighbourhood of Joēi, which you can see Mt. Fuji on a clear day. The house is spacious and has everything I need to stay comfortably for a month. There are big supermarket and drug store within walking distance, and with the bike David provided, you can go to a large shopping mall and pretty much all living necessities within 15 min. David and his wife Naomi are extremely friendly and helpful. Recommended me good restaurants and also useful tips to get around. I enjoyed my stay here very much. I highly recommend this place to other travellers when you want to escape the crowd and experience Japanese rural lifestyle.

Super clean and modern house with an unobstructed view of Mt. Fuji. Has all the amenities you would need for your stay. Highly recommend!

Amaaaazing views, lovely place to relax after exploring all the big cities of Japan. Great communication and host provides a folder with everything you need to know about the area. restaurant right next door that offers delicious pizzas by the beach. 100% would recommend

Super schöne Unterkunft. Auf der einen Seite ist ein kleiner Bach der fließt und auf der anderen Seite kann man den Mt Fuji wie auf den Bildern beschrieben perfekt sehen, wenn die Sicht gut ist. Einziger negativ Punkt: Die Check-In Zeit. Wenn man nach fujiyoshida fährt und wie wir auf Durchreise ist möchte man gerne bereits in der Mittagszeit sich zuhause einrichten, damit man dann voll durchstarten kann und sich die ganzen Sehenswürdigkeiten anschauen kann. Wir mussten dementsprechend unser ganzes Gepäck an der kawaguchiko Station kostenpflichtig parken und von dort aus selbst ein Fahrrad kostenpflichtig nutzen. Ab 16 Uhr ist die fahrradnutzung fast schon zu spät. Da wir am morgigen Tag direkt abgereist sind brauchten wir auch das kostenfreie Fahrrad vom Gastgeber nicht. Check out war um 10:00 und dies bat auch nicht großartig Spielraum um die Koffer dort zu lagern. Wir waren bereits um 6 Uhr ausgeheckt und mussten die Koffer dann wieder eigenständig unterbringen.

Great location. Tucked away from the busy areas. But right next to the train station, convenience stores, and restaurants. Good find.

Spacious, with easy access to a few bus stops. It’s also within walkable distance of other local landmarks.

This was the best host I have EVER stayed with. Picked me up from the station and brought me home. Drove me back after check out. Had free bike rentals. All this saved me money, time, and hassle. Then during the day I got a flat tire on the bicycle and he came and picked me up! Asked if I was okay and gave me another bicycle. I was thinking he would be upset I messed up the bike. Went above and beyond in every aspect and was the best host you could ask for. Very kind and non transactional with his help. 100 out of 10 stars.

Great place to stay right next to the train station. Beautiful views of Fuji right out the window. Many shops, cafes, restaurants, and points of interest within a few minutes walk. Stayed for two nights with my family and we had no issues at all. Don’t miss the Forest Music Museum!

映画館を貸し切って、好きな映画やドラマを好きなだけスクリーンで見られる、夢のようなお宿でした。 御殿場駅すぐで、ロケーションも便利でよかったです。

Lovely place. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Host was flexible with my check in time as I wasn’t sure what time I arrived til I got on the train. As it was raining on the day I left, host was kind enough to offer to drive me to train station as well as work out the train timetable for me. I couldn’t have asked for a lovelier experience.

The condo is located right off the main drag and directly across from a semi-private cove of one of the best beaches in Shimoda! The photos are true to life, the place was in pristine condition, all appliances worked out perfectly, and the bedding was super comfortable! Cheryl is a great hostess! The one thing we wish we could have changed was the weather, as it was misty and windy during our stay, and then of course, the sun popped out the day we had to leave :( Hoping we can get a do-over and land Cheryl's place again some day!

My stay was very nice and cozy though the condo building felt quiet. Rei has great taste in design and furnishing to make her guests feel at home. Recommend to drive here so that you could explore around freely.
