Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Shelter Cove

Reading the description I was confused on the property. It was not a private home, but was a penthouse attached to the Lost Inn. With that said it was beautiful and quiet. The elevator was not functional so if you can’t climb the stairs it could be difficult. The pizza place made us hungry every time we walked past it to the penthouse. lol. Definitely would stay again.

Hands down favorite place to stay in the Cove. The house has a unique touch of craftsmanship that is unmatched. Great views of the ocean, hot tub, and more. Our host, Leta, was amazing, helpful and responsive. Our group couldn’t have asked for more.

We had a fantastic time during our stay. My best friend was getting married and Heather was extremely helpful/gave wonderful recommendations for local spots to check out. The pool was a little bit cold but nothing we didn’t expect for this time of year. 🥶still made for a wonderful sobering experience lol 😂 The hot tub is amazing! If you were lucky enough to book this place, I would highly, highly recommend it! Everything is neat and labeled and the washing machine made it wonderful to be able to leave with clean clothes from vacation! 10/10

My only hesitation in writing a perfect review is the fact that I want to go back with my family and hope it’s available… In all seriousness, it was absolutely spectacular even better than we expected. Wonderfully furnished. Kitchen was completely stocked with everything possible and it couldn’t be more oceanfront. 10 stars out of 10. Angelia was easy to communicate with about everything was so perfect. We didn’t need any assistance at all.

this is a fantastic place to end your day and relax and unwind with a bright clean space and the hot tub is a nice addition. lots of snacks for after we traveled. the surroundings are beautiful and right on the Avenue of the Giants. Quiet and clean can't ask for any better

Our weekend in this beautiful home was relaxing and fun for the kids. Our children enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. Everything was easy to find in the clean, labeled and organized kitchen. Thank you Heather for sharing your beautiful home.

The location is excellent. Very serene and peaceful with limited but excellent food option nearby. Accommodation was very good and spacious. We were 8 of us including a toddler and never felt lack of space. Shelter Cove is a highly recommended place to relax in front of the Pacific after a great day through Avenue of the Giants. This accommodation is highly recommended.

Very peaceful area nice and quiet and walking distance to the river. Lisa was available and very helpful with local information. We will be returning !!

A beautiful spot to land in a rugged landscape. I appreciate how Laura was communicative and present if needed, but gave lots of space for us to enjoy the quiet solitude. I enjoyed a peaceful evening viewing the moon and stars from the soaking tub. It’s a great town, too—really enjoyed the friendly people and delicious food.

This was an exquisite stay, accentuated by Daisy’s hospitality, and that I knew her father who built this place. The area is known as the lost coast, and I was glad for that. To be away from the distractions that come with mobile service and the internet was, for me, a delight. There is a WiFi spot in Petrolia at the community center, but I used it just to check in my family. Being “isolated”, so to say, make me appreciate what I have in my life, and made me think about and plan my stay. No grocery store open 24 hours. You have a mini fridge, so plan your stop at the grocery store before getting here. The climb to the tower was a bit tough on my 61 year old knees, so I wasn’t going back and forth from my vehicle. But a soak in the in ground copper tub took care of relieving my knees. I feel the approach from the north, Ferndale, was easier than my exit to the south. Daisy greeted me when I arrived and walked me through the character of the tower.

Amazing stay at this place!!! So quiet, great views and well equipped for those on a road trip. Would definitely stay again!!!

Alden's place really deserves 10 stars. It is so well taken care of. The shower, the kitchen, the porch, everything is great and the bed sooo comfortable. Super clean! Pristine hot tub. Quiet unit and area. Did not hear anything from the people in the unit next door. Heating and cooling are quiet and quick. Walk less than five minutes to a couple of very good restaurants. And so close to all the redwood attractions. Hard to beat.
