Based in Nagano, at the foot of the Northern Alps, embark on a leisurely journey to Hakuba, Matsumoto, Narai-juku, Togakushi, Hida-Takayama and more. November is a quiet season before winter arrives. It is recommended for those who want to get away from the crowds and leisurely enjoy Nagano's nature and historic towns. Drive to various places during the day. When you return to the accommodation, relax in the two types of sauna and the water bath. Please enjoy a quiet time in the countryside while relaxing in a warm room at night. Every day, I go to a different place, such as Hakuba, Matsumoto, Narai-juku, Togakushi, Azumino, Omachi, and even Hida-Takayama. In the evening, I return to the same accommodation and relieve my fatigue in the sauna. Please use it as a base for a leisurely trip around Nagano. You can also come by public transportation, but having a car is more convenient. Free pick-up and drop-off is available at Shinano Matsukawa Station and Meisha Station.Other transfers and sightseeing transfers are available for ¥2,000 to ¥8,000 (return) within 2 hours one-way.Please consult with us in advance for 5 or more people. Home in Izumo

A simple yet rich rural life that has continued since the Edo period!

Spend a relaxing time with friends around the Irori fireplace. You can enjoy the Goemon bath, kamado, and old-fashioned slow life while feeling the season with the wind and sky patterns (there is a cassette stove, IH heater, and shower). You can also cook with a wood stove and BBQ outdoors. 10 minutes by car from Izumo City Station. Izumo Taisha is 25 minutes away. There is also a hot spring nearby. The 20 tatami mat Japanese-style room is a private bedroom, and the kitchen and toilet are shared. There is a design office in the warehouse, and I work from 8:30 am to 6 pm on weekdays. You can also use the thatched cottage with a good view. There is also air conditioning, but in the summer, if you open the veranda and hang a mosquito net, the summer night breeze will invite you to sleep comfortably. From spring to autumn, you can hear the nostalgic sounds of frogs, cicadas, and bell crickets. If you are unfamiliar with charcoal or fire, I can help you if the timing is right. Firewood is free, but please bring your own BBQ charcoal if you use the sunken hearth. It is 1.6 km to the supermarket and 5 km to Izumo Station. It feels good to walk or jog along the Tanabe-michi Road and Kawato-te in the early morning. Please keep pets on the dirt floor. In July and August, please pick blueberries from the garden.

Pension in Yeongdong-gun

A day like a gift (Welcoming you in the forest, Minjoo Mountain)

'A day like a gift' is an experience-type accommodation located in the forest at the top of Domaryeong (700m above sea level) in Minjujisan, Yeongdong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do. We have remodeled a wooden house (Dalbat House, 2005) and a family-built earthen house (So Young Hall, 2006) for our elderly parents, so that only one team of guests can stay in the entire house. Recently, a tree house (Wol Forest House, 2024) was built on a 6-7 meter-high Japanese cedar tree in the Wol Forest, and this can also be experienced for free. The experience is divided into traditional cultural experiences and ecological experiences, which are offered in a variety of paid and free experiences. The mud house was built with wood, earth, and stone from the moon field, like the mountain village of our ancestors. You can experience lighting a fire in a traditional house, where you can feel the wisdom of a house that is cool and warm. The words 'A day like a gift' are engraved in the merchant room of the mud house. We will try to give everyone who comes here a simple gift called 'a day like a gift'.
