The cottage is located on the banks of the clear Marukawa River. Gifu is famous for Shirakawago and Hida Takayama, but Enbara is also a nice place in the mountains, although it is inconvenient. The scenery of the mountains and rivers is beautiful, and it is a place rich in nature where monkeys and deer appear. The Enbara River is known as the most beautiful underground water in Japan and a famous spot for its light, and the inn is located about 800 meters from the spring water point of the underground water, so the water transparency is excellent. You can also see the light from the inn. On summer mornings, depending on the weather conditions, you can see a magical view of the sunlight pouring through the trees. The water in the Marukara River is cold, but in summer the children play in the river energetically. The riverbed is much cooler, so people can escape the heat and cool off. A little downstream there are several river play spots, and the water is clear everywhere and it feels good to swim beautifully. The water of the river shines emerald green in a slightly deep place, and the scenery of rocks and moss is also wonderful, and it is a healing spot where the mind is purified. There is a deck facing the river on the second floor of the inn, so you can relax while watching the river, BBQ, swing in a hammock while listening to the river, or refresh yourself in the tent sauna.

A simple yet rich rural life that has continued since the Edo period!

Spend a relaxing time with friends around the Irori fireplace. You can enjoy the Goemon bath, kamado, and old-fashioned slow life while feeling the season with the wind and sky patterns (there is a cassette stove, IH heater, and shower). You can also cook with a wood stove and BBQ outdoors. 　10 minutes by car from Izumo City Station. Izumo Taisha is 25 minutes away. There is also a hot spring nearby. The 20 tatami mat Japanese-style room is a private bedroom, and the kitchen and toilet are shared. There is a design office in the warehouse, and I work from 8:30 am to 6 pm on weekdays. You can also use the thatched cottage with a good view. 　There is also air conditioning, but in the summer, if you open the veranda and hang a mosquito net, the summer night breeze will invite you to sleep comfortably. From spring to autumn, you can hear the nostalgic sounds of frogs, cicadas, and bell crickets. 　If you are unfamiliar with charcoal or fire, I can help you if the timing is right. Firewood is free, but please bring your own BBQ charcoal if you use the sunken hearth. It is 1.6 km to the supermarket and 5 km to Izumo Station. It feels good to walk or jog along the Tanabe-michi Road and Kawato-te in the early morning. Please keep pets on the dirt floor. In July and August, please pick blueberries from the garden.

A traditional Japanese Kyomachi-ya house that is over 100 years old, the garden has maintained its original appearance for over 100 years, and has a shrine and torii gate that are rare in a private garden, dedicated to Benzaiten (God of Wealth). The 250-square-meter exquisite Japanese garden changes with the four seasons of Kyoto's beautiful scenery. A day like a gift (Welcoming you in the forest, Minjoo Mountain)

'A day like a gift' is an experience-type accommodation located in the forest at the top of Domaryeong (700m above sea level) in Minjujisan, Yeongdong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do. We have remodeled a wooden house (Dalbat House, 2005) and a family-built earthen house (So Young Hall, 2006) for our elderly parents, so that only one team of guests can stay in the entire house. Recently, a tree house (Wol Forest House, 2024) was built on a 6-7 meter-high Japanese cedar tree in the Wol Forest, and this can also be experienced for free. The experience is divided into traditional cultural experiences and ecological experiences, which are offered in a variety of paid and free experiences. The mud house was built with wood, earth, and stone from the moon field, like the mountain village of our ancestors. You can experience lighting a fire in a traditional house, where you can feel the wisdom of a house that is cool and warm. Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.
