Barn accommodation in Scandinavia

Josef & Malin were great hosts & welcoming! Their place is a great spot to explore Öland from, was very cozy & convenient for us as a family of 4. Being in central Borgholm gives you many options for eating and shopping as needed during your stay. Close by are several tourist sites to explore as well keeping you busy for several days in the area. The guest house was well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely recommend and come back in the future!

Steigerhoute veranda met mooi uitzicht op de tuin. Het huis zelf echt een plaatje, alle oudheid zit er nog in en dat maakt het zo bijzonder. De kachel was heerlijk met heerlijke stoelen, de bedstee geweldig en de douche een luxe. Alles wat je je maar kan bedenken is aanwezig in de woning. Wij waren er 2 nachten omdat we op doorreis waren. Super ervaring gehad.

A wonderful swedish experience! Actually, one should keep this little paradise to oneself as a secret tip and share it only with very good friends :) The location of Magnus' small loft is a dream, situated with a slightly elevated terrace, overlooking the legendary landscape of the archipelago and finding oneself in the midst of nature. The grounds of the accommodation are like Bullerbü, with a beautiful stylish Swedish house attached and old fruit trees as well.There are paddle boats and canoes as well as bicycles, so you can move around perfectly to explore the islands. The loft is very cozy with typical Nordic charm, very comfortable, good beds, and a modern shower. A small kitchenette helps to self-cater occasionally. Magnus and his wife are very warm and welcoming hosts who always had good answers to all our wishes and questions. Magnus is an expert in giving tips about the surroundings and other parts of the country. Definitely a vacation that couldn't have been more beautiful.

Micke är en supervärd, allt fanns tillgängligt, till och med kol om man ville grilla. Det var rent och snyggt. Ett extra plus var att det var organiserat i det sk stallet för tvätt och lätt för att källsortera sopor. Underbara promenadstråk, perfekt för oss som hade hund med oss. Nära in till Visby och vi var både norr, söder, öst och väst. Att kunna ladda bilen var mycket smidigt.

very warm and cosy renovated barn in a beautiful remote spot. the fire was lit for our arrival and really keeps the place warm. we had to change our plans a little as the avalanche risk was too high for ski ing and we really appreciated Tone's flexibility - thank you! Takk!

Plats för 2 bilar med båttrailers. Stor rymlig lägenhet och det mesta ingår. Lite äldre interiörer men allt fungerande. Väldigt trevliga värdar och jag har redan planerat att boka detta boende igen. Kenneth

Det var et rigtigt fint sted og lå meget tæt på Astrid Lindgrens Verden, fine ude områder til vores børn.

My wife and I Had a great couple of days at Mostafa's place. The space is in a refinished section of their barn. Nice layout, nice design, really comfortable stay. It's a lovely spot in a mellow neighborhood, just a few minutes from the coast. Mostafa had tons of recommendations for where to eat and what to explore. Great meal right across the street. Great coffee, cafe just down the road. Great host, lovely part of the world, wish we had more time to hang.

The house was truly a little piece of paradise and very close to the lake. We loved staying there. The house is beautiful, clean and very practical, and the kitchen was so well equipped. The beds were made with great care when we arrived. Roos' kindness was truly remarkable. We will be happy to come back! One night was really too short, we wanted to do lots of activities around the area like kayaking or paddleboarding!!

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich schön! Das alte Gebäude ist toll renoviert und hat dennoch seinen alten Charme behalten. Die Decken sind zwar etwas niedrig, aber das kommt durch das Alter.

Tolle Unterkunft mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, auch die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Super Lage und perfekter Ausgangsort für Tagesausflüge in die Umgebung….Sylt, Föhr, Dänemark. Dazu einfach gemütlich und zum Wohlfühlen, sehr gern wieder 🧡

Posto splendido e appartamento curato. Letti molto comodi e spazi funzionali. Host molto accoglienti e amichevoli, veloci nelle risposte e disponibili. Ci siamo trovati molto bene e lo consigliamo sicuramente.

Emma en Martin zijn top gastvrouw en gastheer. We hebben ons vanaf het eerste moment heel welkom gevoeld! Het huisje ligt in een rustige en mooie natuuromgeving en is voorzien van alle comfort. We vonden het geweldig om elke dag wat tijd bij de konijntjes door te brengen. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

Vi är supernöjda med vår vistelse. Vi fick ett varmt mottagande när vi kom och brasan i kaminen var tänd, vilket gav en hemtrevlig känsla. Stora utrymmen att umgås på och ett välutrustat kök. Vi kan tänka oss att återkomma.

Lars' place was perfect for our stay. We were in a pickle and needed accommodations close to our friend's place, and things could not have worked out better. We loved the candy and wine that were left for us at check-in and enjoyed our stay. Check in and check out were smooth, and we were even offered a very flexible check-in. Lars could not have been more accommodative. Thank you!

My son Alex was the actual guest and here is his commentary on his stay (since Airbnb doesn’t allow him to write a comment himself). Spoiler alert : it was a very good experience ! From Alex and Marilou « Our sincere thanks to Venise & Gaby for their warm welcome to this comfortable, carefully decorated tiny house, full of personality. 
The view over the fjord completes the magic already offered by the cabin. Moreover, we were able to enjoy the surrounding mountains and snow-covered forest during a wonderful walk. And Gaby offered to take us by car, giving us all the advice we needed. This is just one example of the many times they were there to help us make the most enjoyable experience possible. As an added bonus, we were able to taste their homemade beer, served with small snacks. It was perfect for a little Halloween movie night after the sauna !

Very luxurious house with lots of space. The location is on a hill which makes spotting northern lights easy. It’s also very conveniently located if you want to go skiing in Ylläs or just roaming around the nearby lakes. Access to groceries and restaurants is also very close by.

Yövyimme matkalla yhden yön Julian ja Jakobin asunnossa. Huoneisto vastasi kuvausta ja kaikki sujui hyvin. Erityismaininta ihanalle maalaisympäristölle sekä pihalla laiduntaville lampaille.

Wir hatten drei tolle Tage bei Jörgen und haben uns Arild und die Umgebung auf Wanderstrecken angeschaut. Die Wohnung ist ein alter Pferdestall, der zu einer süßen Wohnung umgebaut ist. Eine große Küche mit Gewürzen steht zur Verfügung. Ebenso eine kleine Terrasse mit Holzkohlegrill. Ein Gemeinschaftsraum mit Waschmaschine ist frei zugänglich und wird sich mit einer weiteren Wohnung nebenan geteilt. Wir können die Wohnung wärmstens empfehlen und haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Koselig hus i rolige omgivelser.

Absolut zu empfehlen, sehr sehr schöne Unterkunft, wir haben uns gleich wie zu Hause gefühlt und hatten einen sehr warmherzigen Empfang. Emma und Anders sind äußerst nette Gastgeber, man kann sich sehr gut mit Ihnen unterhalten und kann spannende Infos über den Hof, die Tiere und die Umgebung erfahren. Die Unterkunft (ein 140-jährige, ehemalige Scheune) ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet (ein Highlight waren z.B. zwei frische Blumensträuße auf den Tischen) und hat eine einmalige Ausstrahlung. In der Küche findet man alles was man braucht, um lecker kochen zu können. Man kann frische Eier aus dem Stall holen und Tiere beobachten und streicheln (Hund, Katze, Schafe, Hühner, Truthahn) und von der Unterkunft aus das schöne Skåne erkunden. Am Strand ist man in ca. 5-7 Minuten mit dem Auto, ein Supermarkt ist ebenfalls in dieser Zeit zu erreichen. Unseren Kindern und uns hat es dort sehr sehr gut gefallen und wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Wir kommen gerne wieder. :)
