The flat is nice and quiet and in a good location for my purpose. I had to leave two days before scheduled because of the Corona virus situation, as my country was closing its borders and calling all residents home. I have asked both the host and Airbnb for a refund, but not even got a message back. Seems that they are only ignoring me. I find that very bad style

Great, stylish, spacious flat in a quiet leafy area with great access to Broomhill and central Sheffield . Some local amenities too. We took the bus, but never had to wait more than a few minutes and the bus stop is just a few minutes away. Loved our stay in Sheffield.

A spacious and quiet place, ideal for a couple.

The room is located on the second floor of a large house, which is consistent with the picture description. It takes about ten minutes to drive to the city center and about half an hour to the West Manor. It is important to say that the manor will not open in winter, it will not open in winter, and it will not open in winter!

Loved this place! Beautiful location and apartment is very clean and stylish. Excellent communication with james. Perhaps a few more homely touches would have made it perfect (blanket for cooler nights and some cooking oil) but overall a wonderful place to stay! Would definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our stay and thought the place was super clean and had everything we needed. The neighborhood was lovely and quiet, and we had no trouble with parking or check in. We would absolutely stay again if in the area!

I stayed at Micheala's place for two months whilst looking for a place to buy in Sheffield. The house is stylish, clean and comfortable with everything you need provided for. The location is great - interesting, with lots of good places to have coffee, a drink or dinner. It's an easy walk into town and there are also plenty of buses. Micheala and Phil were excellent hosts - both being kind and helpful

Michaela’s home is a wonderful warm, peaceful and conveniently located accommodation. I would highly recommend to stay there.

The place is awesome and the hosts are so nice. They also offer breakfast with milk and cereal! The room is quite and warm for two. Also, a great place for travel to chatsworth park! The bus 218 is about 10 minutes’ walk from the house. 😄

Wow, what a beautiful spot on the moors just outside Hathersage. It was the perfect location for a family weekend with loads of nearby walks on the hills and along the rivers. Debbie’s apartment is in a great location. We walked right out the door and to a walk around Higger Tor. It was clean and cozy, and Debbie provided a bit of breakfast food to get us started. We had a lovely time and would come again.

Debbie’s place is just magnificent. Right on the edge of some beautiful walking areas and not far from a great local pub. She also left us some bacon and eggs. A host of hosts. Will be recommending to anyone wanting to visit the Pennines.

Debbie’s place is amazing! The view and the short walk from Gramps right into the Peak District is truly worthwhile! The place was really homey - the wood fire was such a delight to come back to - especially from the wet and windy weather. Debbie had lots of lovely thoughtful touches like stocking the fridge with milk, eggs and bacon and making sure to provide dishwasher tablets and firewood. The place was spotless as well - definitely worth a visit!

This is a great place to stay. Debbie was a fantastic host, helping out on everything we asked about. The accommodation and location was great for us (4 adults) - we hardly used the car for the week we were there - walking out on different paths and hiring mountain bikes from Debbie. Great having a fire and a view over the moor.

Thanks to Eoin for putting me up whilst the virus crisis was happening. I felt safely cocooned in his downstairs pad with a lovely garden view. A good fast internet connection helped me to keep in contact with the world and it was good to see and hear the family around the place to keep me from feeling too cut off.

This place is lovely! The hosts, Eoin and Jo are very sweet and left me alone to enjoy the space on my own, but are always there should you need anything. The studio is spacious and clean, looking out onto a delightfully wild garden. You have your own space in the basement of a family home with exclusive access. The area of Nether Edge is fabulous with great cafes and a welcoming village feel. Highly recommended!

The studio is a wonderfully quite place to stay with nature on the doorstep. The host has thought of all needs so I was impressed with the amenities available. A nice size studio with clean comfortable bed (I suffer with back issues so this is a huge bonus) and good shower too. Well kitted kitchen area and a great selection of books too. I highly recommend staying here. The host is friendly too 👍

Eoin's place is very cosy in a perfect location for those who are looking for a quiet and green area full of character. If you wish to get to the city centre you can get the 56 bus every 20min or you can walk through a very safe and green area with beautiful houses and it will take you about 30-40min. Eoin is super responsive and full of tips. I would recommend this place and would definitely stay again.

This was my second stay - which says it all really. Lovely quiet downstairs at the back of the house - which is in any case at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. Warm and cosy - the bed is really comfortable and the shower is easy to use and is powerful. Miss not having a hotplate but worked around it. Would stay again!

Very stylish apartment, away from the main road. After years of staying in hotels or B&B to visit the in-laws, the relaxation of being in this apartment was really appreciated. It was sparkling clean and cosy, the towels in the bathroom were brilliant. Laura responds very quickly to any queries and made excellent suggestions for eateries, of a variety of venus.

Really nice place just outside Sheffield centre,very quiet neighbourhood , few good places to eat nearby.Not great for cooking as there isn't a lot of pots of pans ,but otherwise really nice!I'd definitely come back!

I stayed at Rosie's apartment for one night as I was attending a concert in the area that evening. But nonetheless I was made to feel very welcome - the apartment is spacious but cosy, plenty of natural light and quiet enough not to really be aware that Rosie and her family live 'upstairs'. The check-in details were simple to follow too. It's a short 10 minute bus ride from Sheffield train station - ideal! AND there are plenty of local amenities and places to eat as well.

The most amazing host and the most beautiful space. A week of retreat from building works. Rosie couldn’t have made us more welcome. Fabulous!

We had a great stay here. The flat is spacious and very stylish. We couldn’t fault our experience.

Lovely place, exactly as described, but with plenty of thoughtful extra touches. Rosie suggested some great places for us to eat, was an excellent communicator, and the flat was extremely clean and comfy. We had a double air bed, and a double futon, and extra blankets and storage heaters kept us nice and warm. Would definitely recommend.

This was my first visit to Sheffield. I loved Julie's house and the spacious room with en suite were a perfect place to relax. Julie and her family were warm and friendly. The house is in a lovely part of town, a short walk to some independent shops, nice cafes and bars and parks and botanical gardens. I really liked Sheffield and will return and hopefully Julie's room will be available when I do.

Perfect for a night in the peaks - great value, just what we needed

Charming guesthouse on the edge of the Peak District which was perfect for exploring the area. Would highly recommend!

A wonderful short stay

The place was basic but comfortable. It has all you needed for our 2 night stay and was warm with 2 good heaters supplied. Lovely location and close to several local hostelry’s. Both we tried has great food. Although there is no Wi-Fi at the property there was an excellent 4G signal on EE.

Great location, great value and lovely hosts. I was there last year and my friend left his pillow. The hosts held onto it for a year and gave it back when we visited. So thoughtful.

This is the 3rd time we've stayed here and still love it.

You'll be pleasantly surprised by this space. Definitely recommend it for the location, nearbyplaces to eat, Sharon and Paul are super friendly and responsive and made us feel welcome. Would certainly come again!

A lovely second visit!

Great stay, nice and warm at night in latter November. Great area with loads to explore, I keep finding new bits! Thanks to Martin who helped me check in smoothly during a difficult time. Friendly little cats in the house too, who give great cuddles :) Great hosts!

Another stay in the little garden of tranquility. Survived a battering storm, high winds and hard rain (the Sheffield floods), the hut inside remained a peaceful, chilled escape. Martin and Bo constantly listen and improve on the hut to make sure their guests have a good experience, they welcome offers of cooperation and are open to suggestions for any improvements. I pack winter bed clothes and use the stove to make up hot water bottles and it's cosy in November.

Sadly unable to stay due to work issues but Martin & Bo were so helpful, friendly and informative via messages I'm saddened I couldn't stay I'm sure it'd have been delightful.

Another amazing few days in this sanctuary. Martin & Bo are thoughtful hosts and care about guest experience. Whilst I was between stays they'd carried out some extra jobs to equip the hut for the ever changing seasons, as such it was an ambient temperature during October winds and rain and very comfortable to wake up in and sit drinking coffee pondering the day ahead/which great areas to explore next :) I love this hut and the area it's in as well as the family's earthy ethos and I can't wait to come back again.

Best Airbnb experience ever, great place to stay and great hosts. Nothing seemed too much trouble, Martin even loaned me his satnav when my pesky phone sent me round Sheffield. The cabin is comfortable and had all essentials required. I was warm enough in October with fluffy pj's and the lovely sleeping bag they supply as well as all the bedding. It's in an ecellent location, loads of shops & bars. *Note that poos and showering need to be done in the house which is round the corner, although there's a composting wee facility.

I really loved my stay in the palet chalet! Bo and Martin are lovely, relaxed hosts who will happily help with anything and give you a warm welcome so you feel right at home. The home - kitchen / bathroom - is well equipped and clean. The chalet itself is really cute - there’s a little cooking space outside and then tonnes of sweet touches inside - including a hot water bottle on my first night! It’s pretty cosy inside and outside it’s nice a peaceful. The greystones area is a top location, with buses out to the peaks or into town. The walk into town is also nice at about 30-40 mins. Overall I had a great time and would love to go back.

Fantastic, unique venue. Martin and Bo are outstanding hosts and pay great attention to the little details that make your stay special. We loved Le Pallet Chalet, it was private, cosy and quirky, we look forward to our next visit.

We booked Cathy’s place for my mum to stay and it was great. Cathy was so welcoming and the place was very clean and perfect for what we needed it for. My mum also hasn’t stopped mentioning how comfortable the bed was! We’d definitely recommend her place.

Great location, a 20/25 minute drive away from Peak District. You have pretty much all the things you need - plates, hairdryer, cutlery, teabags etc. It was sparkling clean and very private, and Cathy was a great host!

This was my second long(er) stay. The apartment is located a 20-40 min (depending on traffic) bus ride from the city centre. What I liked the most about this place is its location near the Peak District, great for walks and jogging; the neighbourhood is nice too. The equipment is sufficient for both longer and shorter stays. My favourite place in the apartment was bedroom, very cozy with a large, comfy bed. Contact with the owners (Ellie and Anthony) was always timely and good. Internet connection was often on-and-off; noise from the apartment below could be a nuisance at times. Either way, I'm satisfied with my stay.

Anthony’s place is a very homely appartment and extremely clean. Additional touches such as toiletries and wine are very thoughtful. Ideally located to visit family and local attractions. The host made some excellent recommendations for local takeaways, which were appreciated after our long journey.

Great place, nice little independent studio in the Sharrow.

This is a studio flat in a good quiet location. When I stayed there was a double bed, sofa, oven and hob, microwave, kettle, tv, and fridge freezer. There is also a bathroom with a shower which was really nice and very clean. Great for a short stay. Check in/out is really convenient.

Prompt and clear communication after booking and late night arrival access is available. This is a small bedsit style room with separate shower and toilet room which is a good size. While all the furniture and fittings are tired and a fluorescent tube light provides bright light in the room, all commodities are provided and everything is fundamentally clean. Free car parking is generally available in the street adjacent to the property and having your own self contained space are definite bonuses along with a short 15 minute walk into Sheffield centre and Tescos and Waitrose are nearby.

A cosy, warm and clean apartment in a quiet side road. Plenty of options for breakfast provided and fantastic local amenities just a 5 minutes walk away- including places to eat, drink and small, idependent shops. Also ideal for a walk into town or to get to the university- about 25-30 minutes. Botanical gardens very close by and worth a wander round. Thank you, would definately book again.

I really loved my stay at Scrabble House! The space was clean and tidy, very cosy and comfortable. The word "quirky" is used in a lot of reviews and I think that's accurate! The area is also pretty cool with lots of independent shops. I think any negative reviews on here are down to people not reading the description properly. Air B&B is not the same as a hotel! You are paying for a unique and homely space, not uniformity and clean lines. I wouldn't normally respond to the negative reviews of others but having read them, they seem very unfair! I would 100% reccomended this property to anyone looking for a central, comfortable and unusual space near to central Sheffield.

We had a lovely time in Sheffield, and Laura's place was the ideal base. It was cosy and comfortable, and we appreciated the little touches like milk in the fridge and pastries

Laura's place is lovely and cosy. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful couple of days here. There's some lovely shops nearby, sadly the weather did not allow for much exploring of the wider area but we were quite content staying at the flat.

Love love love the powerful shower, the styling decor, the sparkling cleanliness, and the nice sunny view out the rear conservatory! I don't like how loud the walking upstairs sounds there and sometimes the talking in the next room and the sofa bed has a bit of a 'sunken pit' in the middle but the continental breakfast is good and we love the price. Most importantly, we'll be back!

This accommodation is perfect for an overnight stay when you are in the area, it’s very cosy & includes all you might need for a comfortable home from home.

A great place to visit the surrounding area. The accommodation is private and well described - comfy bed , nice touches and some lovely home made bread!!! Just make sure you're handbrake works well as parking is on a steep slope !!

Harry's place was a great base for us for our short city break. Very close to Ecclesal Road, with loads of bars, restaurants and shops and a bus stop within 10 minutes walk to get you into the Peak District. Lovely and cosy, with some nice touches!

My second stay at Simons - Would highly recommend. Parking is available for free on-street and it’s just a couple of miles from the University/centre of Sheffield, in a quieter residential area. The accommodation is spotlessly clean, warm and nicely decorated - very comfortable. Thanks again for a nice stay.

Clear instructions about how to park and enter the property. Lovely room with a fridge in. Lovely surroundings and easy to get to everywhere that I needed to be.

Neil was a great host. Super friendly and offered lots of good tips for restaurants and spots to eat. The room was exactly what I was expecting, and though I didn't eat breakfast there, it was nice that he offered coffee, tea and some basic breakfast options. Great location - only a short walk to downtown and easy to find. Would definitely stay there again!

Friendly and helpful, and amazing value for money

Neil's place is gorgeous! So beautifully decorated and so comfortable as well. Neil is friendly, welcoming and easy to talk to. The flat is right near a big tesco, close to nice cafes on Kelham Island, and about a 30 min walk from the train station.

Neil is a considerate and friendly host with great tips about the local area and places to eat. The room is really clean and stylish and I really enjoyed my stay with him.

A very interesting artist's house (lots of paintings) and Helen is a friendly host. The accommodation is basic but comfortable and roomy. A good place to stay if you are happy with a shared bathroom and no tv, and if the location South of the City Centre but not too far from the Universities suits you.

A lovely homely place, facilities all supplied and would definitely recommend as the host is really nice and welcoming

My second visit to Helen's house. She's a great host, and wants you to enjoy your stay. She's a fab artist as well, with lots of her beautiful pictures around the house. I'd really recommend Helen's house if you're visiting Sheffield; it's an easy walk into the city centre.

Lisa’s place was a delightful comfortable haven for a few days. Their springtime garden was a lovely view to wake up to, the thoughtful kitchen provisions were much appreciated and the glorious botanical gardens are just down the road.

Fabulous place to stay - so many thoughtful touches - hotel standard. This is probably the best Airbnb we have stayed at - everything has been considered and catered for. Lovely to have Nespresso as well as bread butter and everything needed to cook and prepare food. The flat was immaculately clean and well provided for - we will definitely be back!

This lovely apartment is so comfortable and well thought out. We stayed here on a visit to see our son who is a student at the university and it was the perfect base. We appreciated all the thought and effort that has gone into making this a real home from home.

This is the most stylish and well thought out space you could wish for. Sumptuous furnishings, beautifully designed interior, really helpful extras and excellent communication. Would highly recommend and will be booking again when we next visit.

The apartment is in a fantastic part of Sheffield, within walking distance to Ecclesall Road and the city centre. The apartment is super clean and very stylishly finished. The kitchen was very well equipped and had plenty of utensils that can sometimes be lacking in air bnbs! Great communication prior to arriving and Lisa was very friendly. We would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Wonderful hidden gem - lovely apartment handy for Ecclesall Road - perfect for visiting our daughter in her nearby student digs without having to stay there! Lovely stylish touches and v comfortable and cosy on damp winter weekend

The coach house was really cosy and had everything required to make our stay stress free and memorable. Access to the house was easy thanks to clear instructions and parking wasn’t a problem throughout the weekend. Thanks guys for a great stay!

Great little place which has everything you need.

I stayed at Stephen's place for work and it provided a wonderful two nights sleep for me. The house is cosy, rustic and very homely. It had its own private entrance which allowed me to come and go as I pleased (which was really handy as I arrived very late and left very early in the morning). Stephen was brilliant in communicating and I was really happy with the accommodation. Thank you very much.

Really well decorated space with amazing and thoughtful touches: Cafetière and ground coffee, to name two. Great boho vibes.

Lovely and cosy place. Had everything we needed. Check in and out was very easy. Steve and his family were very welcoming and helpful. Parking very easy and communication was pretty much instant. About a half an hour walk from the city centre which wasn’t an issue or only a £6-10 taxi. Would definitely recommend staying here if you can.

This is a super find and the place is quirky, individual and very homely! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and the hosts are lovely people who couldn’t do any more to make your stay easy and enjoyable. The addition of creative design choices really make this a special stay, and I must say the bed and bedding were scrumptious!

Florence’s place is super comfortable, especially the bed. The room is really stylishly set out and great use of space with some nice touches. Location wise, it’s really easy to get about by foot and car. Highly recommend.

This apartment is perfect and we very much enjoyed our stay. Even though its in the basement it still feels light and roomy and Gary has set up everything you might need which was very helpful. Its right next to the botanical gardens and isn't too far from the city centre - there's also lots of restaurants within walking distance so it was nice to explore the area. I would definitely recommend staying here!

A great place to stay in a fantastic location.

Gary's place is splendid. I am a local Sheffield lad, living abroad, so know the area very well. The location is fantastic, accommodation superb, value for money great and the host is lovely with nothing too much trouble for him. On top of that, you have everything in the accommodation that you need for a very comfortable stay. As an added bonus, I have never slept so well on such a cosy bed. I stayed for over 5 weeks and wouldn't hesitate recommending this air b n b to anyone wishing for a lovely stay in Sheffield.

We had an amazing time at Gary’s place. The apartment was spotless, well furnished and full of convenient extras. Gary even put up a Christmas tree for us. The fridge was stocked with eggs and bacon, milk and bread ...opposite the lovely Botanical Gardens and within walking distance of the Cit Centre, we walked in but Uber back. There is a Marks & Spencer food outlet close by with car parking and other shops too. Should we come back to Sheffield this would be our no. 1 choice

Gary is a Very thoughtful & accommodating host. The house is very nicely done, comfy, good locality & super clean. Would definitely recommend to visitors to Sheffield.

Wonderful, faultless; it's a beautiful location, lovely space, and everything is to the highest quality and comfort. Don't hesitate if this is available - book it, because you won't find better. Gary is a great host too - super-prompt communication, warm, and couldn't be more helpful - thank you.

The flat is very comfortable , quiet and well laid out. It is well furnished and has under floor heating, which was particularly nice in the bathroom. I was on my own but there is certainly plenty of room for two to feel very comfortable. I couldn't think of any amenity or equipment that wasn't provided. The flat is also well situated next to the Botanical Gardens and not far from Endcliffe Park and the local shopping areas at Hunters Bar/Ecclesall Road and Broomhill. You can walk in the city centre in approximately 20 minutes but there is plenty of public transport.

We had a wonderful stay at Caroline’s cottage. It is clean, well-stocked with everything you could need, and in a wonderful location for exploring the Peak District. Checking in and out was very simple and Caroline was always extremely quick to reply to every message. We also very much appreciated Caroline and David going the extra mile to check in on us amidst the unfolding coronavirus situation! We would happily stay here again.

Caroline’s place is a mini cottage with everything you need, ideally located, and great value. She is also a very friendly and helpful host. The great location means that it’s a must for anyone needing somewhere to stay whilst visiting the Peak District!

Lovely, clean and cosy accommodation and in a beautiful little garden. Great location for Sheffield and the Peak District national park, and a minute away from the supermarket!

Great place in a lovely part of Peak District. Perfect for what we wanted as a base for hiking and climbing and to wind down in the evenings

Pictures do not do this accommodation justice. Wonderfully steeped in history with modern amenities such as the large snooker table (not a cheap one from argos etc!) And table football, to eating in the bar area (microwave and kettle upstairs) Would never hesitate to book again.

A wonderful stay. Sharon was so helpful with organising our visit. We managed to visit a local pub for food which was delicious. The building was homely and clean. The pool table is an amazing feature. We stayed up late playing games! The bar is a wonderful touch. Although the building wasn't the warmest, sharon happily kept the heating on for us and also provided us with extra heaters. We will definitely be back in the summer for another visit.

This is a really unique and charming property in an area with great access to the peak district and good local restaurants. The hosts were very quick to respond and very flexible about check-in time. The beds were comfortable and it was cosy despite stormy weather outside. There is a pool table which was quite a fun addition to the space. I really enjoyed the easy access to running in the peak district. Super stay!

This was a lovely house to stay in. It was clean and had everything we needed, including a cot for my baby. There was loads of space, with four bedrooms and a living room and kitchen on the ground floor. It is centrally located with a shop just a few minutes walk away and everything within walking distance. The host was extremely helpful and responded very quickly to my messages. Would recommend!

Great place, very clean and tidy. In a great location in Sheffield. Very close to centre, walking distance. We chose to get taxis but only cost £3/4 a time
