Located in the middle of 2 National Parks; Lauwersmeer and the Alde Feannen. Ideal cycling and hiking area.

Paesens Moddergat is one of the most beautiful places in the Netherlands, located 10 minutes drive from the Lauwersmeer National Park and 10 minutes from the eleven-city town of Dokkum. Activities: mudflat walking or wandering ( see Oan e'dyk) day trip to Ameland, day trip to Schiermonnikoog, fish eating in the fishing port of Lauwersoog, seal tours. Also very suitable for bird spotters (see nature photography Lauwersmeer) who live birds in and around the Lauwersmeer.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The Zeeroosje is 100 m away from the Wadden Sea in Friesland. It is an authentic fisherman's cottage from 1880 with modern amenities. Upstairs there are two bedrooms. The Rose Room has a comfortable double bed and the Lighthouse Room has two single beds. Even tall people can sleep in the cosy bedstee in the living room.
