The sleeping room in Wierum is a beautiful and cozy apartment with private sauna (for an additional fee), located in a former primary school 100 m from the Wadden Sea. It is located in the middle of the Unesco World Heritage Site, where you can intensively enjoy the peace and beauty of the Wadden area. The apartment is surprisingly spacious (70m2) and can sleep up to 5 people. Children can enjoy themselves on the trampoline, on the grass/soccer field and can also cuddle with our rabbits and guinea pigs.

Holiday home Oer it Fjild ,a unique location, at the bottom of the old sea dyke, near the Wadden Sea (Unesco World Heritage). Non-smoking, no pets. There is an own parking lot, terrace (BBQ) and canopy/bicycle shed. The house is not for partying young people . Due to the open staircase, it is not suitable for young children. Oer it Fjild is intended for people who love to escape the hustle and bustle and love the countryside and peace. Changeover days on Mondays and on.

We were there for a longer period of time. The location is fantastic, you can sit directly on the water in the sunshine and enjoy a coffee and watch the ships. The dog also felt comfortable and could run freely. At the back of the garden is bordered by. The neighborhood is very nice and very helpful. In addition to a pizzeria and a barbecue snack, there is unfortunately no way to eat and drink anywhere in the evening, unless you drive 10 km further, but since we had a bike with us, ( there are also two available there), this was no problem for us and you can do what you want to do in the area beforehand, or what is offered. As Simone has already described for 1.90 m tall people, as we are, it was a challenge above, but we knew that before, because it was in the listing. All in all, a beautiful cottage quaintly furnished and in the kitchen everything is available and a very nice hostess.

A hidden gem in Friesland

We booked this stay as a gift for my parents. The cottage is cozy, clean and fully furnished. Everything you need is there - from fine lighting to good blackout curtains and a wonderful bed. The bathroom was fresh and comfortable, with a nice shower and plenty of towels. The garden is spacious and quiet, with a cozy seating area. Inside there are fun games, which is a nice alternative to a TV. The kitchen is compact, but practical with an air fryer and hob. The only downside: there was no freezer compartment. The contact with Anita was great. She is very friendly, welcomes you warmly and had decorated the cottage extra nicely for the occasion. She also gave us great tips about the area. The location is quiet, yet close to Dokkum and Leeuwarden. Parking was also easy. All in all, a very successful stay.

Perfect central location for a couple who also seek a little privacy and like to sit outside. There is more than enough space inside to spend a whole day if necessary. Modern and clean and well-equipped kitchen and bathroom.
