Colin’s place was brilliant, great value for money and great location, House was clean and welcoming, the bed was comfy and the shower was great, added bonuses with the tea and coffee, all in all, the house was a great stay and would recommend it to anyone.

A charming little apartment located conveniently close to the railway station and the town center. The apartment was very clean and full of beautiful details. There was an extra heater there so the temperature wasn't a problem even in the wintertime. It was great to get oatmeal, crumpets and jam for breakfast! The tea selection was way better than in any other Airbnb I've been to... I got a quick and friendly reply to all my messages. The only minus in the apartment was that as mentioned in the description, at times there can be a lot of sounds from upstairs (steps, talking, music), so this is not for the best place for sound sensitive individuals, at least not without earplugs. There was no noise from outdoors though, since the apartment wasn't on the side of the street.

Skylark is a truly idyllic location for a peaceful and private getaway. It is perfectly located to explore Devon and beautifully appointed to provide a bit of luxury. If you then add in the walks around the area, the amazing hot tub and the exceptional pub with gastro pub food within walking distance, this place had it all. A wonderful base to explore the area and beyond, public transport is good and near by

Wow - this place is everything you see on Air B and B and more. My guests and I highly recommend it as a good base to explore the area. It is stylish, well stocked with the essentials and has plenty of parking. Piers the owner is very quick to respond to queries and a good communicator.Just be aware the driveway is very tight and larger vehicles may not be able to get into the yard. Town is very close but has few facilites such as shopping and cafes but Totnes is only 3 miles away. Easily accommodates 6 adults but plenty of space for more if needed.

What a house. I totally recommend this place as a Base for exploring the Dart area. The beds are super comfy and the showers have so much pressure it's worth it for that alone! Great communal areas and really quiet abd peaceful.

I adored this place. I literally would have moved in...I absolutely loved the space and all the little details - the birdscreens and birdmugs, the beautiful plants, the terracey-bit, the whole layout that meant you had everything you need in one space (kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom, kitchen in one cabin, the excellent book collection - was just perfect. Georgi and Pete were wonderful, generous and friendly hosts. There's an ecological awareness too that really suited me. And good birds in the garden. You feel like you're on a retreat! You have to be a teeny bit athletic to get onto the mezzanine beds - the swimming pool ladder goes straight up, the wooden ladder is angled so a bit easier. Even as a single person, it was good value, but four can sleep here easily in the 2 mezzanine beds, which would make it amazingly good value. Really comfy and peaceful. A lovely reflective space I found. Didn't want to leave!

Quirky cute cabin - everything new

This is a really excellent AirBnb, clean comfortable and a bit quirky, with some nice, unexpected touches such as the chocolates! Must be even better in the warmer, dryer weather, when you can sit out on the verandah.

We had a lovely weekend at The Cabin, it’s perfectly located for both Dartington and Totnes, being so close to the Footpath along the beautiful river Dart. Our children loved the well thought through, playful space saying: “I liked that the beds were in the roof” (Maisie aged 10) “I liked the homely feeling it had, it was comfortable and it didn’t take long to settle down” (Henry aged 12). Georgi and Pete were very friendly and helpful with excellent, hassle free communication. We thoroughly recommend this lovely little bolt hole in the South Hams.

Warm comfortable cabin with nice glass windows to let in tons of light. Very well designed cabin, with seemingly everything you would need for cooking right there. The sleeping loft , the bathroom all were very well build and made it a pleasure to stay in the small cabin because it was so well done.

A lovely stay in The Cabin. Just as described and lovely and warm inside. Had everything we needed and more space than I imagined. Lots of thoughtful touches and we loved the eco friendly products to use. An added bonus was only a minute away from the river Dart and lovely running/cycling/walking paths, so some lovely morning runs. My only problem is, it was so lovely my daughter wants one built at home to the same standard. We will definitely use this again when visiting this area.

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend stay at Helen's property. Helen was on hand to welcome us, provide great tips on local areas of interest and eating out ( The New Inn @ Moreleigh we can highly recommend for eating, the steaks are too die for though you must book). The property ticked all the boxes in terms of location, cleanliness, comfort and style with a view across the countryside you can only dream of. The children loved the mezzanine floor bedroom. We strongly advise any guests to take up Helen's offer of her breakfast. That was beautiful and filled us up for a day of exploring. Lovely host and property and we would relish the opportunity to return here again! Thanks Helen!

I went away for a relaxing girls weekend, and little suite was so lovely with gorgeous views. Helen was a brilliant host, and I couldn’t fault the setting or house one.

We were looking for a peaceful getaway near the sea, for a weekend away. Helen is a lovely host, the suite is great, clean and comfy, our son loved the upstairs. Nothing was too far, we definitely recommend going to Hope cove. All together lovely stay, would definitely recommend!

Really handy for the centre of town by foot. The loft is very spacious and modern. It is really well decorated and is very clean. The hosts are very friendly but also discreet. Would recommend and would definitely stay again.

This really is a perfect room - very comfortable, sparkling clean, stylish, quiet and Matt and Moya made us so welcome. We were only there for one night but would have been more than happy to spend a week here. Having fresh toast and coffee in the morning was lovely.

Moya and Matt’s en-suite loft room was lovely; it was warm, clean and cosy and having an HD tv in the room was an added bonus. Communications with Moya were great too. Our dietary requirements were catered for and we were made to feel very welcome. The location is good - a short walk and you’re in the town. Parking is on their driveway. We would highly recommend this place to stay.

What an amazing cabin set in a great field with peaceful views. Definitely very private, beautifully decorated and much roomier than I originally thought. Great kitchen with everything you need including a fab tea selection. The outdoor loo and shower turned out to actually be a real highlight and great fun! We received great directions, very easy to find. Would love to come in the summer when everything’s in bloom.

The tiny house was beautiful and cosy with thoughtful touches everywhere. A real escape from intense city living not to mention a very comfy bed, log burning fire and a hot shower with wild views. Highly recommend :)

The Wildflower Cabin is a total paradise! It's just as idyllic as it looks in the photos and is a beautiful place to stay for a weekend or, if you're lucky, longer. The cabin overlooks rolling fields and the views are beautiful to wake up to. Freddy and Helena have made it really cosy and easy to while away the hours in. The kitchen is really well stocked with pots and pans to cook with, and there's lots of space to relax and read. I'd definitely recommend a stay at the Wildflower Cabin!

Fantastic place If you’re looking for a perfect rural getaway this place is ideal. You follow winding singletrack country roads and then come to a lovely Annexe in the middle of the Devon countryside - but within easy reach of the fine town of Totnes. The property has lots of lovely finishing touches, is very comfy warm, stylish, and has lots of space. The underfloor heating and Aga stand out, and some essentials to welcome you. We’ll recommend to our friends and family

Sally's place is in a remote yet picturesque setting and is beautifully furnished and a real home away from home.

The space is well thought out and very cosy. It was luxurious but also homely so you could really relax. Location is very cool as on a clear night you can see millions of stars, lovely friendly hosts and fantastic night sleep.

Great place to stay, short or long term, as it is well stocked above and beyond. Very bright, quiet and relaxing, spacious and clean, best beds and linens for sleeping and the home has extra touches, such as a breakfast tray by the master bed for-coffee and tea making, as well as homemade jams and TV in the Master bed-room. The home is more spacious than apparent in the pictures and the hosts are thoughtful about the comfort of their guests, with very specific information and other special touches to make one’s stay memorable. Everything was in good working order and we would return without hesitation!

Suzanne's house is warm, spacious, modern and very clean. There is off-road parking and there is a short pleasant walk along the river Dart to Totnes town centre. Suzanne is an excellent host: friendly helpful and very considerate.

Very nice house 15 minutes walk from the center (along the river Dart). The room is spacious, clean and bright, with a huge comfy bed. It stays very calm day and night. Suzanne is warm and helpful. A perfect choice for your stay in Totnes

This is a beautiful self-contained studio apartment. The interior design elements are wonderfully thought out without compromising on comfort.

This perfect accommodation was a jewel box, located within a stone’s throw of the main commerce and walking street of Totnes. The bed was incredibly comfortable , the design was current and classic with beautiful touches, fixtures and art; the skylights made it feel as though we were in the trees or on a ship, and the cottage was stand alone and private but not a bit remote. We will definitely stay here again when we come to magical Totnes.

We had a great few days away in this stylish and unique space. We particularly enjoyed the design colours and aesthetics, with everything within the property made to match. The space was used extremely well and everything was spotless and of a very high quality. Fantastically central location for nearby food and drink. Lovely cosy cottage.

We really loved our long weekend at Dove Cottage! The space is so cosy and the shower is a dream. The village is very sweet - no shops so pick up food in totnes, it’s only about 10 mins drive away - and is the perfect location to explore the Devon countryside from.

Fantastic, beautiful presented cottage in lovely little vintage 5 minutes from totness. Graceful hosts , who have thought of every convenience. 700 year old pub around the corner is a timeless inn with great food & vib !! We are visiting from Australia & will stay here again!! Cheers

This is just the most gorgeous place and we were desperately sad to leave! The cottage is designed so beautifully with every object carefully collected to make a simple, elegant and cosy space. Hannah and Paul were great hosts, apologising at the end for the terrible weather (a storm hit when we were there!) In fact, we were grateful for the storm as it completely justified us staying in, lighting the fire reading and playing games in our super cosy cottage. We wouldn’t have had it any other way! Bliss! Hope to be back again!

Dove Cottage is a very cosy and comfortable place to stay. The decor is stylish and feels very relaxing with interesting features such as atmospheric lighting, contemporary furnishing mixed with some vintage ornaments. The cottage is particularly lovely and cosy when the log burner is lit. The throws and sheepskins also add a touch of luxury. The kitchen is very well equipped and the bathroom has a fantastic walk - in shower with lovely tiles. There are some little extras such as good quality shampoo, conditioner and roomsprays. The location is lovely and quiet with pleasant views of the village.

Dove Cottage is absolutely beautiful - the interiors are perfect and every touch has clearly been very well thought out. The perfect cottage for a relaxing break. We would not hesitate to recommend to friends and hope to stay again. Thank you!

A wonderful tranquil environment, tucked away, but conveniently just off the main street. Such tasteful décor and the thought that Natalie had put into dressing the cottage was outstanding. Wow what a place; I’ve been lucky enough to stay in some of the best hotels in the world. And a few “plus” air bnbs - this one takes it to a whole new level...gluten free chocolates on arrival for my coeliac daughter,scented candles, yoga mats, extra supplies “just in case”, they really have thought of everything. I wouldn’t hesitate on recommending this place and we’ll definitely be back.

This is by far and away the best cottage we have stayed in and we have stayed in a lot! It was beautifully decorated, incredibly comfortable, spotlessly clean and, most notably, equipped with everything you could possibly think of and more. The kids’ beds had beautiful toys and books laid out on them which they absolutely loved (and our 6 year old said it was the best bed ever, with “silky smooth sheets”, which we agreed with). There were extremely generous supplies and provisions in the kitchen and bathroom, carafes of mint water, candles and essential oil burners, flowers and beautiful leaves, chocolates, games, colouring pens and pencils... you name it! We cannot thank Nat and her family enough and will definitely return. Nat was incredibly speedy at communicating and very helpful in every way. Thanks so much!

Absolutely perfect stay at this beautiful B&B. Location is great - out the way of main roads but still only a short drive to lots of popular and beautiful places in the surrounding areas. Helen was a fantastic host, a really lovely lady and nothing was too much trouble during our stay. The room is stunning with views to match, the bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was very relaxing. I can not recommend this place highly enough - it’s perfect for anyone who enjoys a relaxing stay in a beautiful location.

Lovely space set in a fantastic and deeply rural setting. It is certainly a lovely place to stay and we would recommend it without reservation.

You can expect a lovely clean room with an exception view. We loved being able to sit outside on the patio and take in our surroundings.

We loved the location (Helen provides the exact directions, I would advise not to follow sat nav). We had ample space and it was very well furnished. Loved the views onto the grazing cows in the field. We had a great time in Totnes, will book again when we come back.

Gorgeous, peaceful location and very stylish double bedroom with lovely, large en-suite wet room..Couldn’t fault it and Helen was extremely helpful both before and during our stay... great breakfasts! Lovely isolated place where we got to recharge our batteries in peace and tranquillity. 4x adults, a toddler and a Labrador and we had loads of room in a lovely clean and inviting home. Indoor fire was amazing and a cosy nights sleep in the lovely beds. Highly recommend to anyone and Sally really looked after us and made us feel warm and welcome.

Absolutely wonderful stay! Sally is the nicest, friendliest host and I could not recommend staying here enough. She also has the most gorgeous dogs so if you like dogs then definitely come here! Hint: Ask Sally about a particularly old pub...you won't be disappointed!

Pippa was a super host with a beautiful home. A 10 min stride down into Totnes via the short cut was a great way to start the day at the workshop I was attending. The High Street has loads of eateries.

Wonderful! This is our second stay with Pippa and my son (aged 9) and I love staying here. Pippa is a wonderful host and my son adores her cat Samson. It's very easy to walk into Totnes from the house and we were able to use the kitchen which is so helpful. I would definitely recommend staying at Pippa's.

Madeline & Daniel were very welcoming and helpful. The house is huge, but cosy. Its in a great spot backing on to a meadow yet a short walk from the centre of Totnes.

I would highly recommend this wonderful home. A minute from the high street with a great variety of cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops and you can walk to the station in 10 mins. The house is beautiful, interesting, warm and has good energy. My room was spotless, the shower is the best hanger cure out and the bedding is of lovely quality. Maddy and Dan are so welcoming, engaging, authentic, kind and thoughtful. Their children and Maddy's Mum and dog are all really lovely and help create a relaxed and safe atmosphere. To me, this stay was the epitome of what Airbnb is all about (well maybe what is was to start with anyway!) Connecting people around the world based on trust and respect.

Madeline and Daniel have an amazing house, steeped in Totnes history. The en-suite room is beautiful, it has a comfy bed and a lovely view of the garden. If you want luxurious peace and quiet and yet be close to town, this is for you!

We had such a lovely time in Totnes, their house is so close to the town we could walk out in the evenings for dinner, We would definitely recommend staying here very quiet and comfortable. There are so many lovely places to visit and such amazing food, in this area.

Marcea's house is a very special place. It feels like home from the moment you enter it. It is an eco home, so be or a prepared for eco rules, like saving water and electric energy. I fully share these values so it was an extension of what I do at home anyway. Marcea is a wonderfully warm and welcoming host, who is always there with a cup of tea waiting for you, while her two sweet pets are always ready to express their curiosity and love, Mr Stripey and Pickles, I will miss you! Marcea even gave me a lift to the local retreat farm in the morning! We shared stories and cookies and more tea in the evening! I will stay there again!

I had a lovely restful few days staying with Marcea in her cosy home, which was full of character and had lovely artistic touches all over the house. Marcea was very relaxed and accommodating, and she has the most gorgeous cat! Would highly recommend staying there.

Marcea is very warm, welcoming and easy and interesting to chat to and we so appreciated the lift from the station when our train was badly delayed. (Thanks a million Marcea!) There is a cosy and relaxing atmosphere in her home and we really appreciated the eco-awareness (extremely comfortable bed too and the basin in the room was a bonus). Her cat and dog are very sweet and well-behaved! An interesting part of Totnes to stay in and an easy walk into the town. Excellent value.

Marcea was really prompt to respond to questions before we arrived and was very flexible about checking in and out. She didn't bat an eyelid when I asked if she had any art materials to make a sign for an event I was taking part in, and was only too willing to help. We'd definitely stay there again.

Marcea was such a gracious host, collecting me from the station and looking after me in every way. Her house is so cute and comfy and really well situated to explore Totnes. She is a wealth of information about Transition Towns and XR and we had many good chats together. Totnes has a lovely atmosphere with their ancient roadways and Elizabethan museum and I spent a happy day wandering around the fabulous Dartington Estate listening to the summer music.

Marcea is such a kind host! Her place is comfortable and homey, just a quick walk from the high street, and her animal companions are delightful.

Samantha is a lovely host with a wide knowledge of the local area. Her garden cabin is quiet and cosy and very good value. I spent 2 very comfortable nights at her place in Dartington where I felt completely at peace and safe. Highly recommended!

A very good place stay. The cabin is snug and I really slept well. Everything a traveller wants is present in this delightful residence.

A small garden cottage with an couch that is convertable to a bed. It is very clean and nice details. For the bathroom and toilet you have to go in the main house, wich is ca. 6 meters walking. It is quit and relaxing. Bring slippers/flipflops so you can easily walk in the main house without shoes.

Sam is a warm and welcoming host, always happy to answer questions and provide recommendations for the local area. Her home is incredibly peaceful, I slept wonderfully in the cabin which is a lovely self contained space. I highly recommend for anyone seeking a peaceful Devon stay.

Lovely place to stay and relax. The best thing was to arrive to the log burner blazing and the oven on to put our fresh pizzas in when we arrived. Also we messed up and didn’t bring wellies so Kevin gave us his to borrow straight off his feet. What a gent! All around lovely stay!

Beautiful! Cosy stylish spacious and comfortable.. a beautiful place to escape to a little bit of quiet luxury. The host Emma is fantastic.. very helpful.. and provided the most amazing food from her kitchen. So we didn’t even need to think about that. She booked us into the local pub for a meal too which was delicious and only 5 minutes away. The hot tub is fantastic and the log burner inside too.. Our dog loved laying next to that! Our bed was very comfortable the room gorgeous and the bathroom is divine! Beautiful location and views too. Don’t hesitate to book this place it’s wonderful! Xxx

The Oystercatcher is a lovely little cottage with everything you need! Emma replied quickly to messages and offered so many lovely extras it would be a shame not to have any of them. We will definitely be back again!

Emma and Kevin were fantastic hosts before we even arrived. From arrival to departure nothing was too much trouble making us feel very at home. The place was in a lovely peaceful location and was decorated beautifully. It was spacious, very clean and the additional extras were a lovely touch. Can’t wait to return!

This is a lovely place within easy driving distance of Dartmoor and the beautiful River Dart. It's very comfortable and clean. The hot tub is amazing and there's lots of perks like fresh eggs and a brilliant pub nearby. Emma is a wonderful host.

Perfect little break for us, from the cream tea on arrival to the homemade pizzas Emma and Kevin make every effort to make you welcome and relaxed. The hot tub under the stars was wonderful and a real treat. We’re already planning when we can come back!

Great place to stay and lovely area to visit for country walks.

Absolutely stunning cottage situated in a real farm which far exceeded expectations. When we arrived, we were greeted by geese, guinea fouls, chickens and dogs - what a treat! Gill took the time to show us around the place, with instructions for how to use the Aga and wood burner. She had put up a small Christmas tree, pinned a wreath to the door and put together a welcome basket with fresh bread and eggs for us - simply perfect! The cottage is finished to a very high standard with underfloor heating, a beautiful kitchen and AGA cooker. We cooked a delicious Christmas dinner with ease. Thanks Gill!

We had the most wonderful stay at The Granary, Gill was lovely and welcoming, the accommodation and setting was just beautiful, the property has been finished to a high standard, lovely finishing touches - a perfect weekend away - highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time at Gill's place. Its in a great location - just 20-30 min drive from the amazing Blackpool Sands, in a very peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Property was kept perfectly clean, tastefully decorated and furnished with everything that you could need for a comfortable stay. Communication and directions were always quick and clear too. Gill was very kind to offer high-chair, travel-cot, and stairs-gate for our little one without us having to ask for them. Our 18 month old son loved being there, with lots of space to run around and such a variety of farm birds to see. There are three lovely dogs and if you are bored you can play with them all day long. It was lots of fun to be there. We dont have anything to complain about and lots to remember and cherish. We would love to go back there for another holiday and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a great holiday in south of Devon.

Anex is very comfortable and has an amazing charm and character. Fitted with everything you need for shorter and longer stays. We are only sorry that we could not enjoy it longer on this occasion. Anthony is a wonderful host, very friendly and incredibly hospitable. I gave a knock on the door upon arrival and was greeted with a genuinely warm welcome and made to feel very at home. The Annex was warm, clean and cosy with a comfortable bed and bedding, stylish artwork and decor Many kitchen basics were provided including tea, coffee, bread, butter and milk. There’s also a pamphlet you’ll find on arrival with great local tips and detailed house instructions. I found my stay at the Annex to be great value and would definitely recommend this place! Hope to stay again next time I’m down in the west country! :-)

Great little spot for a quiet weekend ( or longer! ) getaway! Perfect location close to Dartmoor and the sea that feels very homely and cosy. Anna and Anthony are super welcoming and have great tips for whatever you’re after! Hope Cove and Haytor were great, so is the pub down the road or the Church House Inn. We came in January and were lucky with the weather but will definitively return in the summer!

Saj and Lawrence are warm, friendly, lovely people, and make you feel very welcome in their home. The room was clean and comfortable. One caveat is that the toilet is on the ground floor, and the bedroom is on the first floor; this was not a problem for me, but might be an issue for people with mobility problems who would rather not have to descend stairs in the middle of the night if they need the bathroom!

It is an easy walk into town and they were both full of tips and things you can do in the area to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. We would definitely recommend!

Kathryn and Guy are excellent hosts and make you feel at home right away. They provided us with very valuable tips on things to see and do and had the best homemade jams for breakfast! The house is beautiful and rooms are very comfortable and clean. They are just a short 7-10 minute walk from the high street and very close to the station and main bus stops (~1mile). I would highly recommend staying here, I know I'll be back the next time :).
