Cottage holiday rentals in Rousdon

Debbie’s place is a little piece of paradise, the setting is stunning, the gardens are fantastic and the cottage is warm and cosy whilst also being spacious and really well laid out. We had everything we needed and immediately felt at home. The open plan kitchen into the cosy living room left us all feeling connected, utility space was really useful, conservatory with stunning views allowed us to dine together and relax during the day. Outside area is also stunning for meals on the patio and bbq’s and the hot tub was great to relax in on an evening looking at the stars in peace and tranquility.. there’s a slight walk up to the property across a field but once you’re in the cottage and its gardens it’s worth every step. Great for the dogs too. Loads to do in the area, our highlight was Lyme Regis beach.. many thanks to Debbie and everyone who made us feel so welcome. We would go back to Debbie’s place in a heartbeat!

Surridge Cottage is beautiful, as soon as we arrived down the lane we knew it would be perfect and it was and more. The cottage has been beautifully restored with high end finishes. Even the heated floor in the bathroom didn't go missed (my daughter loved it). Great location, we took a few trips out. Went into Lyme Regis and took the children to Crealy. If you want a private country break in a cottage, you won't beat it. Thank you, The Mellors x

Iveta was a fantastic host and everyone we met at Timbercombe was incredibly friendly. The lodge is super cosy and perfect in every way. All of our expectations were exceeded! Amazing hot tub, squeaky clean accommodation and mega comfy. We walked miles with our dog every day, leaving completely refreshed. Thanks so much!

Amy's cottage is an amazing find if you're looking for a Somerset getaway. The place itself is beautiful and perfectly kitted out - especially if you have kids, with crockery, cutlery, a high chair and not to mention the wonderful assortment of games. The hot tub outside under the stars is an added bonus and one you should take up as it was a great way to wind down in the evenings. And Amy was the perfect host - friendly, knowledgeable with her guidebook, and highly responsive. Would definitely recommend her cottage and hope to visit again!

We spent the half term break at Little Burston with our two young children, we had a wonderful time. The accommodation was everything we hoped from the previous brilliant reviews and more. A clean, bright and large space. Well equipped with everything you could want (games, DVD’s, kitchen utensils). A tranquil and peaceful setting not far away from Dulverton and within striking distance of lots of activities. The hot tub kept the adults happy and the kids loved the garden, trampoline and games of football. Carol was a great host, instructions left at the property were clear and easy. Walking recommendations all great. Goats and chickens out of the kitchen window was a highlight for the kids. Up there with the best Airbnb’s we’ve been to in the UK. We would not hesitate to return, if visiting North Devon again and couldn’t recommend this place highly enough.

Had a fab stay at Sarah's Cottage. It literally has everything you need! Beds and linen were so comfy. If you like the countryside and being out the way this is perfect for you, local towns/beach only a 20 min ride out. Fossil hunting was so much fun at Lyme Regis. If you drive just over an hour you can get to some really pretty places, our favourite was cheddar & Durdle door! The Hot tub was so lovely after a busy day exploring, so peaceful just sat watching the birds. Thanks again Sarah! x

We had a really lovely stay here this week. The garden is beautiful, so peaceful and we even saw a woodpecker hopping around the grass one afternoon. Our daughter adored the trampoline and climbing frame, we also really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub each day after exploring. We did day trips to Lyme Regis, Beer and Forde Abbey & Gardens. A perfect, peaceful spot to spend a few days, thank you.

Loved our stay here. We were a group of 4 friends and the accommodation was perfect. Had a problem with kitchen tap which Phil got a plumber to fix right away so we had water. Great house.. views from a couple of the bedrooms of sea.. loved Charmouth..found fossils on the beach, ate at the pub and enjoyed the Palmers ale goodlocal walks and on a rainy day had a fun afternoon in Bridport. Like to stay here again!

Lovely, immaculate cottage. Great location to walk to beaches and restaurants. Holly was really responsive and recommended a great dog friendly pub for Sunday dinner. We had a great stay. Highly recommend.

Beautiful location, lovely furnishings and super remote. Our family had a lovely time there. Just what we all needed. Will come back again in the summer I think.

This is a cosy and charming property, which is tastefully furnished and contained everything you could possibly need (including delicious flapjack!). The area is rural, and perfect for complete rest and relaxation. Melanie was a perfect host - very friendly, relaxed and helpful. We would love to stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Katy’s place. It was so very peaceful with beautiful surroundings. Having the enclosed courtyard was invaluable, as I was alone some days with the dogs and it meant I didn’t have to worry about where they were, as it was totally secure and private. The kitchen facilities were everything I needed for cooking, the property was spotless and relaxing and of high quality throughout. Walking from the door up the lane to the woods was fabulous with the dogs. And the homemade scones on arrival were amazing. Thank you Katy for a wonderful stay.

Lovely stay in the cottage for a few nights away. Clive and Ruth very friendly and welcoming. They allowed us to feed the lambs which was very special. The cottage is cosy, with a well equipped kitchen, two bathrooms and nice living space. Set very peaceful countryside location. Would recommend.

Beautiful green surroundings with mountains all around — a truly peaceful setting. The sea wasn’t far either, which made for lovely day trips. A perfect getaway for nature lovers!

Such a lovely stay for our family was really relaxing and easy which with a two year old and a dog can be tricky. Throughly recommend staying here.

Nut Cottage was a perfect location for us. We were able to walk to both Lulworth Cove and the Durdle Door, two of the sites that we came to see. There were also lovely restaurants within walking distance (we didn't have a car). Sam and Katie were very responsive hosts when we had questions and they provided a list of helpful (and great) restaurants for us to try. They also gave us a heads up to reserve ahead, which I am so glad we did!

This is exactly what Airbnb should be like. Karen’s place is a home away from home, was spotlessly clean, had everything we could possibly need and was great value for money. Karen was extremely helpful and friendly, welcoming us and providing us with lots of ideas of things to do in the area. The kitchen was well thought out with everything a guest would need for a trip away, and there was even a bottle of prosecco in the fridge which made us really feel like we were on holiday. The house is beautiful and really nicely decorated - beds were comfy, bathroom was perfect - we couldn’t fault it. Sign of a good Airbnb? We didn’t want to go home!

Really enjoyed our stay. Space was great and location perfect, just a few mins walk to the beach. Kids loved having their own room and the Ensuite in the master bedroom was fab. Beautiful large kitchen made meal times easy! Great to have a dishwasher & washing machine available too.

Cedra Cottage is a wonderfully relaxing place to stay. Our children loved the toys Lucy-Ann had thoughtfully left for them - and particularly enjoyed 'Little Cedra Cottage' outside which they spent ages playing in! It was well located to get to Lyme Regis and River Cottage. Would highly recommend - thank you!

Beautiful cottage, very peaceful location. A short drive to lots of different coastal towns and walks. Will come again!

We booked a last minute mini break to Bluebell grey, enjoying visits to the beach during the day followed by relaxed evenings back at the cottage playing badminton and boules in the garden. As the evening light faded we settled down inside the cosy cottage with a gin and tonic or two playing cards around the table, feeling relaxed and comfortable. Thank you Michael for being so responsive with our last minute booking and for being so accommodating with an earlier check in time and equally relaxed with a later departure time. I will hold that lovely evening view across the fields in my memory. Thank you

This was our second holiday in Paul and Julie’s wonderful cottage. The property is very spacious, extremely well equipped and in a lovely location. Just a few minutes walk from Charmouth beach, good pubs, shops, cafes and lovely walks, it makes a perfect base for a family holiday. We love the balcony leading from the main bedroom with its great views and the outdoor eating space under the pergola. Paul and Julie are extremely friendly and helpful and have thought of everything you might need in the cottage ….plus a few delicious treats on arrival! We would highly recommend the property for anyone thinking of visiting lovely Charmouth.

What can I say? …. A perfect stay. Lavender cottage has that beautiful mix of original features, complemented by some modern touches , for added comfort . It felt like we were in someone’s well loved home, in all the right ways. Courtyard garden was an added bonus, to enjoy a glass of rosé in the evening sun. The location is incredible, so close to so many fabulous restaurants & a very short walk to the beach. The fact that it is dog friendly, was just the icing on the cake. Thank you Mark for your attention to detail & your incredibly efficient & friendly responses. It would be rude not to return for another visit, or few 😊. Susie B
