Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Richmond

This a beautifully renovated home with all of the modern amenities. The living room furniture & beds were very comfortable. The home was in a great location for us as it was close to the historic St. John's Church where we were attending a wedding. We did have a some problems with the security system and door locks, but Ursula was very responsive and we figured it all out. It may have been due to some work that was going on in the neighborhood causing the wifi to be spotty. Other than that it was a perfect place to stay.

This place was lovely! hope to be able to stay at this home again!! loved the space and how you can have privacy but also be social. clean, modern, truly a lovely home. great neighborhood as well!

Kay was in touch regularly, available if needed and provided a lovely place for us to enjoy.

Stayed here with family for a few days. It was clean and comfortable. I'm very picky about cleanliness and we were able to make ourselves at home immediately. It was also very peaceful. We even saw a few deer next to the house! It's walking distance to a supermarket, which is huge when you're on vacation and don't want to spend all day getting essentials! We would definitely stay here again!

This home felt like home away from home for us. Tom was very polite and easy to communicate to and even popped in mid-stay to make sure we had everything we needed. The mattresses in the room were the most comfortable I have ever experienced in an Airbnb, which is important to a lot of people. If travelling to the area, we would definitely look this one up again!

This home is a true gem! It's beautifully designed with an abundance of natural light, creating a wonderfully airy and welcoming atmosphere. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, the peaceful sounds of birdsong were a delightful backdrop to our stay. The house was incredibly well-equipped with everything we could possibly need for an enjoyable and comfortable visit. We were in town for a swim meet, and the location was perfect for a direct and easy drive to the Collegiate School Aquatic Center. This home provided an excellent and relaxing respite from a fast-paced long weekend. Highly recommend!

The property and house were stunning. The house was super clean, beautifully decorated and stocked with everything we needed. Everything about the home was comfortable. We enjoyed our mornings outside with coffee and feeding the horses. The property is stunning and quiet. Gail and Randy were kind and gave us riding lessons and a historical tour around the property. We will be back and we recommend the home! it's a gem!

Nadine was a wonderful host - easy to communicate with, proactive, and responsive. The apt was spotless, and every furnishing and decoration was first class. Lots of little amenities (welcome basket with snacks and waters, drinks in the fridge, bedside chocolates, a few toiletries. etc) were a nice touch. The queen bed was perfect for us - quality mattress w/topper (my wife kept talking about how well she slept). Very quiet neighborhood, yet close to all the activities we planned. Private back patio was a fantastically landscaped oasis for morning coffee or evening cocktails. Plenty of easy street parking. Couldn't have asked for a better lodging.

This home is located on a quiet, picturesque street within walking distance of many restaurants, parks, and attractions. Beautiful garden in the front. Sophisticated contemporary decor that is comfortable and functional. The owners clearly pay a lot of attention to detail and think of all the little things that travelers need. It was immaculate, bed was comfy, the towels were all soft, and there were supplies for a tea drinker like me. I thoroughly enjoyed staying here and would return.

I highly recommend Mary as a host and her beautiful cottage. I will definitely stay here again if I travel this way. She is a wonderful person and her place is immaculately clean, well equipped and peaceful.

I highly recommend Johnny's! What stood out to me walking into the unit for the first time is that Johnny seems to really care--he cares about your experience, he cares about offering a home and not just a place to stay, he pays attention to details, he cares about design and aesthetics. He seems to care from a place of valuing experiences and taking pride in his own work product, not because he's trying to sell something for reviews like so many Airbnbs these days (I've stayed in over 30 in the last two years). It was my first time in Richmond and while I considered staying in the Fan District, I am so glad I ended up at Johnny's. As it turns out, Richmond is sprawled out and I would have been driving irrespective of what neighborhood I was staying in and Johnny's was centrally located for everything I wanted to explore. I enjoyed my daily walks around the neighborhood, and there's a cute new bookstore and a bagel shop down the street. Johnny is also so easy to communicate with.

Loved our stay here! The location could not be better. We came for a weekend getaway and the location was so walkable that we parked our car on arrival on Friday and didn’t touch it again until leaving on Sunday. The unit itself is exactly as advertised - it’s the bottom unit so doesn’t get a crazy amount of sunlight but it was plenty for us and we spent most of our time out and about anyway. We’d 100% stay here again and will be recommending to our friends.

This is truly a vacation spot. Serene and quiet you can feel your anxiety decrease. The inside is beautiful but the outside at night is magnificent. I cannot wait to return.

I stayed in this basement apartment for a month and a half while working downtown. The host was extremely friendly, showed me the space, communicated with me about packages and mail, and kept me informed of things to know about the house. I felt very safe in the house and the area. The linens and towels felt very new and clean, and the kitchen and bathroom were also cleanly. The bed was stiffer than I am used to, but I got used to it. There is not much natural light in the apartment since it is a basement unit, but I appreciated all of the lamps and light dimmers so that I did not have to use the overhead lighting. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this apartment to anyone.
