My place is ideal for couples and singles who want to explore Dartmoor and enjoy peace and tranquility - dogs welcome by arrangement
“This is a lovely converted barn with views overlooking the farm and moors, easy to find and access. The fireplace is so cozy after a day out and the facilities are great, with a lovely super king bed. There is no TV but it has WiFi and radio so more than sufficient. Stephen was very hospitable and welcoming, fresh eggs provided, lots of firewood and also gave us a OS map to borrow when we decided not to trust Google's directions! (shortest route somewhere is not necessarily the best/easiest!) Good location for a secluded escape but near enough to travel to the coast or hike the moors.”
Our house is on the doorstep of Dartmoor and a 10 minute road or woodland walk into Ashburton for cafes, shops and Arts Centre. We have countryside views, parking and garden. The room is light, fresh and cosy. The large bathroom has a good shower, shared with one conscientious male lodger. Continental breakfast is offered. You can make tea or coffee any time and wifi is available. It's a friendly, positive household for anyone visiting friends or wanting to explore Dartmoor.
“This is a lovely and unique place to stay. During our 4 night stay Our host was warm and friendly without being intrusive and with a relaxed approach to the practicalities of our stay. The bedroom was simple, comfortable bed, TV and quiet. Sarah is knowledgable about the area and provided us with plenty of info’. The location on the edge of Dartmoor and a 10 minute walk to the bustling town of Ashburton is perfect for exploring the area. We felt very much at home here and would recommend to anyone who wants outstanding value, with a good breakfast and the feeling of ‘home away from home’. Many thanks for our oasis of tranquility. Look forward to another visit!”
Our welcoming family home is the perfect place to stay on the edge of Dartmoor. It is a ten minute walk into the attractive town of Ashburton noted for its cafes, antique and gift shops. The stunning countryside and coastline of Devon is on the doorstep. The attractively furnished vintage style room has tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge. Breakfast is provided in the room. It has an en-suite bathroom with a large shower. There is off-street parking and on-street parking right outside.
“Gorgeous rustic - style room with en suite close to the Chef's Academy - unfortunately my stay was cut short due to the Covid-19 situation however, Cliff and Jackie were very accommodating and i'll be able to come back and stay for the remainder of my trip when the Chef School re-opens! Cliff also has an awesome little pottery making facility! For the budding artists out there - a great place to go get your hands dirty! :) Looking forward to coming back!”
