The retreat is faultless. The hosts have though of everything so the place is very well equipped. It was all perfectly clean and smelled fresh, despite being dog-friendly! The bed was amazing. Big digital TV was a bonus. The garden is lovely and really smart. We loved having breakfast outside. The sun loungers are a great addition! We visited Portloe itself and it’s a lovely sleepy place. Definitely recommend stopping by during your stay. Hamish was very friendly and welcoming- always on hand if you need anything and happy to give recommendations. The location is good for exploring all different parts of Cornwall. 100% recommend for solo travellers and couples if you want to relax and/or explore Cornwall.

I had a wonderful time at the Granary Annexe - it is a very special place, so peaceful and thoughtfully arranged by Nicole, who is a really warm and helpful host. Spacious and light, with lovely decoration, the Annexe has all the facilities needed by a solo traveller or couple for a really relaxing stay. These include a restful and comfortable bedroom, great shower, well-equipped kitchenette and dining area, and the lounge was a real joy to be in! With its wonderful view of the sea and fields I found it hard to tear myself away, but the Annexe is also in a great location for lovely trips out - I enjoyed visiting Megavissey, Charlestown and the gorgeous gardens at Caerhays Castle for the first time, as well as returning to favourite places in the Roseland Peninsula. Nicole gives really helpful hints about places to visit and how to get there - the roads round here can be narrow and steep in places but don't let that put you off coming as this is great place to explore and unwind.

Absolutely stunning little cosy fisherman’s cottage in a beautiful setting & location. Fascinating little peaceful working harbour right on your doorstep great for a little dip in the sea. Stunning costal walks just outside the door, great for morning doggie walks & views sitting on a bench in peaceful surroundings. Lovely friendly pub ! The Ship Inn, just up the hill, with great pub food . Parking sometimes available outside the cottage but the village carpark is a short walk up the hill & only £15 per week. No shop in the village but can get supermarket deliveries to your door. All in all a fantastic stay in beautiful Portloe.

Everything was perfect, the accommodation is close to a peaceful and beautiful beach. The place is exactly like described. We enjoyed it !
