Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Porthleven

Wow - what an amazing place to stay! This is probably the most memorable AirBnB I have stayed in so far. You are right on the edge of the seafront and by the harbour, with the double aspect living room enabling you to see both - the sea views are just stunning. Margaret was a really friendly and communicative host, and the parking space is good. I would heartily recommend this as a great place to stay; it is just so special being able to look out and see the sea from bed, and to hear the waves lapping at the shore as you go to sleep or make your cup of tea in the morning.

Great little place in an unspoilt fishing village. We loved Mousehole. Pros Felt at home. Super comfy beds, great linen & soft towels. We all slept extremely well. Some beautiful lounge chairs. We loved the leather chair in the lounge. Perfect for a morning coffee and the papers! Peaceful and great views of St Michael’s Mount etc. Cons Not many. Very uncomfortable sofa. Few chipped plates Not related to the house but Mousehole. The parking was very tricky. To the point we were unable to park on 2 occasions and my partner had to park quite far out of the village and walk home in the rain very late at night. It’s something to bear in mind. We wish we just got the local bus or taxis everywhere.

We had a lovely time in Penzance. The cottage suited our needs and was fairly close to all attractions. The views were spectacular and the rural setting was beautiful but so close to the beach.

The most beautiful getaway. The views over the meadow to the sea and St Michael’s Mount are incredible any time of the day and we loved spending time on the terrace. Perfect location for walking, sea swims and east to get into town and explore the Cornish coast. The decor is also amazing with so much attention to detail. Will be back!

We got married in the area and wanted somewhere special to stay with our little girl and this place was amazing. Such a beautifully well kept house finished to a very high standard. We lived everything about it. The only downside was that when we asked for a high chair they couldn’t provide one. We were so pleased with the house we have since tried to rebook but it is (unsurprisingly) already fully booked. We’ll be back again one day, Porthleven has captured our hearts as had this gorgeous house.

We had the most amazing stay here. Where do I start! Deborah greeted us on arrival and showed us around, putting us at ease right away. We were blown away by how well presented, clean and homely the house was. But what we loved the most was the beautiful garden with outdoor seating, the bbq which we used every night and the hot tub which was a firm favourite! Especially with my young boys, who spent hours in there! We absolutely loved our stay and looked forward to returning from days out to the beach to relaxing in the peaceful surroundings. We would highly recommend Deborah’s place to anyone looking for high quality, cosy and serene accommodation. Deborah was the perfect host, she is so friendly and respectful and always responded to messages quickly. Thank you so much for such a memorable stay!

An amazing find with a beautiful view of the sea, even from bed! Was super relaxing waking up with that view! We did wear sleep masks as it can get super bright but worth it for the views 🥰🥰 Everything we needed was available, and although no garden for doggos, there is plenty of areas for them to go out along the road, and near coastal path! Bed was SUPER comfy and the shower was amazing! Melinda was super helpful if we had a question and was so kind!

This was a last-minute break, and worked so well for us. Beautiful location- it was lovely to drink coffee in the morning outside, overlooking the sea. Such a peaceful place, and close to lots of lovely places to visit. Charlotte's information was really comprehensive- lots of recommendations for food etc.

We had a lovely stay at The Old Cellars. The property was easy to find, even though it might seem a bit tricky at first. Inside, it was both spacious and cosy – just right for a few relaxing days away. The location is fantastic – right in the heart of the village and only a minute’s walk from the beach, local shop, and pub. Parking wasn’t far at all and didn’t cause any problems. We enjoyed a few scenic walks in both directions from the village – again, the location couldn’t have been better. A special touch was the Friday evening shanty singing at the pub opposite the bedroom window. It really added to the charm and atmosphere of the place. It was lovely to hear and made our stay even more memorable.

Lovely 4 night stay in very comfortable accommodation. We had everything we could of needed and more. Lis is a very pleasant host and was readily available if needed. Great place for exploring that area of Cornwall 😊😊

Chris was an amazing host, she was so helpful and let us know how to get to the main town and all the good places. You couldn’t ask for anything more from this place, it had everything you needed: from essential spices to breakfast essentials. The bathroom had all of the essentials you would need on a trip. Bed was comfortable and it was very spacious. Couldn’t recommend this place enough if you are visiting the area. Will definitely be back. We couldn’t have loved our stay more😃

Sarah has been an excellent host in every way. The boathouse itself is beautiful and extremely quiet being left in total peace. Our dog loved it and felt like he was at home! The drive through the narrow roads to get to the secluded location is worth it!

It is a great space this airbnb has been understated. I have just left Nigels very large accomodation to arrive at my next airbnb only to find it bijou to be polite! and certainly not in such a lovely location. In comparison this similarly priced accomodation woud fit into Nigels 5 times.

Our second stay at this lovely attic apartment. Very comfortable with lovely views of Newlyn harbour: we love watching the fishing boats coming and going. In great location for Newlyn Art School, and shops/ restaurants. Celia very helpful and responsive including to odd queries! Lots of steps and low ceilings, but perfect for us

lovely setting with a gorgeous airbnb! perfect for a group of friends celebrating 🙌 the hot tub and sauna were a perfect touch for a coastal location. We could walk to the sea and there were so many fun activities that Three Mile Beach helped us organise. 10/10 would recommend!

We were so impressed with all the staff who were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they responded to everything really quickly. The property (Strawberry Fields) was beautiful and furnished in an original and tasteful way. Everything was considered. We had all we needed. The hot tub was well used by us all. Even though we were surrounded by other properties it still felt completely private. The location was excellent being so close to the beach. We all had an amazing holiday (including the dog) and felt that we had a week of real luxury.

I write on a personal note as well (to show how amazing the hosts were). The night after we arrived my parents’ dog, Mollie went missing. Kaye and Lindsey pulled out all the stops to help search for her. Sadly the day before we left, the dog was found but it wasn’t a good outcome. But they’d joined in the search intensely all week, organising local people to come help, a farmer to help with cutting back vegetation, searching at various hours of the day in an effort to find Mollie. They really were brilliant.

We can't recommend Lindsey and Kaye's place enough! Beautiful surroundings in peace and quiet, perfect for our dog to run around and enjoy the land. The hot tub was used every evening and was a real treat after a long day of walking, it was also tucked away and private which made it more relaxing and enjoyable (not all hot tubs in Airbnb's are!). The comfty bed, massive rain shower, stunning kitchen/lounge area were all incredible, but having the views, open space,, and all the little touches that Lindsey and Kaye have added are what make this stay special. Lindsey showed us around and was always on hand to chat and recommend things/give helpful advice, and Kaye was kind enough to show us how the pizza oven works and make sure we were okay! As I said, I can't recommend this place enough, especially if you have a dog (ours loved playing with their beautiful dog, Dodger). The pictures don't do it justice! Quick recommendations: Praa Sands, Porthcurno Beach & Minack Theatre - must see!

Extremely well equipped, welcoming, super clean, plenty of instructions and information about the house and area. Comfortable beds, tastefully decorated, super garden, plenty of parking, great hot tub, acres of storage, what wasn’t to like!

This is a beautiful, clean and well located property. The view of the harbor each morning was spectacular and it was very convenient to all Falmouth activities. Sandra was very communicative before and during the stay and gave great recommendations for local spots to dine. We thoroughly enjoyed our family’s stay and hope to have the opportunity to return.
