Holiday rentals with a kayak in Platte River

We were very happy with Tammy's place. We felt comfortable and at ease in the quiet neighborhood. The house was clean and well stocked with lots of kitchen utensils, equipment and dishware. So easy to prepare meals. Especially noteworthy are the comfy beds, pillows, linens and plenty of wonderful towels. We all slept very well! We look forward to visiting again on future visits to family in the area.

My friends and I went to Kearney to spend the day and stayed at Catrina's pplace. We had the best time, Catrina is a very responsive host. we had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. My friends got up early and walked to the park and said it was very beautiful and peaceful.

Great place! Had everything we needed and lovely indoor and outdoor space! Loved the gaming area in the basement. First place I have stayed with a classic Super Nintendo.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Airbnb. The host, Rosie, was very prompt on answering all of our questions before, during, and after our stay. The unit was very comfortable and clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you might need. The location is ideal…just a few blocks from the Old Market area in Omaha, which we love!!! Rosie left us great recommendations for restaurants (most of which we did visit and were extremely pleased with). The check in/check out procedures were flawless. We would DEFINITELY rebook with Rosie!

This house was perfect for our family gathering! Three families were able to enjoy time together. We loved spending time on the farm, enjoying the peace and beautiful views. We would love to stay here again in the future! Desirei was so responsive and kind, even left an Easter basket for our son! She was an amazing host!

Scott’s place is an absolute hidden gem on Carter Lake! We stayed here for a family wedding and couldn’t have asked for a better home base. The house was spotless, spacious, and had everything we needed — from board games to a fully stocked kitchen to three pristine full bathrooms (a huge help with three men in the wedding party!). The backyard was perfect for making memories: bonfires, fishing, and plenty of space for the kids to run around and play soccer. It easily accommodated our three families, with plenty of room to gather, relax, and stay up late talking and connecting. Everything in the home feels brand new, and it’s clear that a lot of care went into making it welcoming and comfortable. Our only regret is that we didn’t have more downtime to enjoy all the house had to offer. We’ve all agreed — this is officially our new go-to spot whenever we’re back in Council Bluffs for future family events! Thank you, Scott, for such a wonderful stay!

This home was perfect for our annual multigenerational family vacation. We had eight adults and four children ranging in age from 76 years to 7 months, and the home accommodated all of us comfortably. It served as an ideal home base for exploring Omaha—everything we wanted to do was within about a 20-minute drive. The house is exceptionally well-equipped for families with young children. The spacious closets easily fit pack-and-plays, which was a huge plus since we have three little ones still in cribs. The master bedrooms are large enough to fit an entire family of four, allowing each child to have a private, quiet sleeping area. The Yellow Submarine room was a huge hit with our granddaughter—she absolutely loved it! It added a whimsical, fun touch that made her stay even more special. The private beach and lake were phenomenal. We loved playing sand volleyball and made good use of the kayaks and grill provided—it was a highlight of our stay. Rachel, the host, was extremely respon

We definitely enjoyed our stay here! We came up from Arkansas for the college World Series and loved how peaceful this place is. We would recommend staying here to anyone we know who is traveling in the area.

A very comfortable stay in a great location. Hannah was super responsive and hospitable. We have a pet dander allergy but had no issues with this pet-friendly rental; it was very clean. Queen sized mattresses were comfortable. Kitchen is fairly well-stocked. Garage was clean and available for our use. We were there over a cold Thanksgiving weekend, so could not enjoy the outdoor spaces or water toys, but they look very nice. Be aware that you need to avoid encroaching on the neighbors' properties, including their waterfronts; Hannah provides a detailed map of property lines.

Jason's "cabin" is a beautiful and very secluded location. Exactly what we wanted! Jason was very considerate, respectful of our privacy, available & willing to help us in any way and very friendly! We highly recommend this home & will stay there again next time we go to see our family in Nebraska! And it has a great bed!!

The cabin was the ideal place for nine 50 somethings to meet up from four different states for a girls' weekend. We enjoyed the firepit, sand volleyball court, walking the property, sitting by the river (just outside the cabin), and sitting around the large dining room table. Many bird varieties on the property so bring your binoculars. Jen went out of her way to make sure we had what we needed, including buying a new volleyball just before we arrived. She was a great communicator. We highly recommend kayaking Turkey Creek through Kearney Paddle Sports!
