If you don't feel like cooking Crail has a good fish and chip shop. Pubs & grocery shops near by. Everything is within walking distance form the house.

The Historic Dalkeith Water Tower

The water tower is a bespoke home in an historic building sensitively converted by its architect owner. The tower is located in the historic town of Dalkeith and the settlement of Eskbank. 20 minutes by car from Edinburgh airport. A bus service into Edinburgh stops every 10- 15 minutes, the bus stop is a 2 minute walk away. 25 minutes by rail to the Scottish Borders or to the centre of Edinburgh from the local Eskbank Train Station, a 20 minute walk from the tower.

Easy access to the Fife coastal path. Please note: there is currently some neighbouring construction work taking place, which may result in occasional daytime noise during weekdays. Evenings and nights remain quiet, and this does not affect the comfort of the property itself.

Excellent location for coastal walks with many local golf courses. Ten miles from St Andrews. Unfortunately, steps outside and a staircase inside makes it unsuitable for guests with limited mobility. The Fife Council Short Term Let licence number is FI-02131-F and runs from 23 October 2024 for three years.
