Visit either of our beautiful Victorian apartments, both 'The Nevis' and 'The Lomond' are located in the heart of Milngavie, 50 metres from the start of the epic West Highland Way. 'The Lomond' and 'The Nevis' apartments sit side by side with each other, they operate independently with four guests in each, but if you wanted to have eight guests staying over the two apartments this is also available on request. The interior decor beautifully harmonises the contemporary and traditional, and maximises the historical detail throughout. This apartment is a comfortable, functional, yet truly luxurious place to stay. The Lomond is situated on the first floor. You will be welcomed by a traditional Scottish 'Close' gaining access to the front door from two flights of stairs, around 20 in total. The apartment has been refurbished with the traveller in mind, but also being careful to retain some of the original Victorian features. The apartment has a brand new kitchen, including oven, hob, microwave, coffee machine, fridge, and breakfast bar. There is also a dining table in the bay window for four people to enjoy a home cooked meal. If cooking at home isn't your thing, there are several restaurants within 100 metres for you to enjoy stunning Scottish food, or just a drink. Garvies restaurant is 15 metres from the apartment front door and currently offer any guests at West Highland Apartment 20% off their food bill. The apartment has two double bedrooms offering a pair of single beds in each (as a special request either bedroom can be made into doubles). The larger master bedroom has European size single beds for the taller person and comes with an en suite bathroom. Bedroom two has two standard single beds and use of the main bathroom. Both bedrooms have mirrored wardrobe space and a vanity unit including a hair dryer. The main living room of the property offers a large 3 seat leather sofa and two leather chairs for the weary (or not so weary) traveller to relax. There is a 55" 4K TV with Virgin Fiber WIFI if you fancy a movie night. Access to the kitchen is done via the living room, offering that modern touch in a traditional property. Milngavie Town Centre currently boasts twelve places to eat and enjoy a coffee: Costa, Cafe Alba, F Pizza, Andiamo, Finsbay, Garvies to name a few. Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)
Make you trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, it's Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". ‘ Burgher Chapel- Converted Church’
Newburgh, Fife is an historical town. In the 18th century linen was woven in weaving sheds and cottages which still reflects in its architecture today. The town is sandwiched between the river Tay and a hillside providing ample walks and other sport activities. Many visitors start on the ‘ Fife Coastal Walk’ from this location. The chapel has excellent wifi. The town is self sufficient with shops, post office, chemist, doctors, dentist, garage, gallery and its very own distillery!
