Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Parma

As others have said—all of the reviews are spot on! A unique setting in the countryside about 30 minutes drive to Parma on mountain roads, beautiful historic building and grounds (with tastefully updated bathrooms to go with the historic charm, plus even a clothes washer and dryer you can access, a rarity in Italy), and a consummate host in Maria Teresa. Using her knowledge and connections to get personalized tours of smaller local parmigiano and prosciutto factories was a real highlight, and we especially enjoyed the nearby Torrechiara castle as well. The kids loved her animals too. 10/10 stay!

We loved our stay so much! Beautiful house and surroundings :) Borgo Val Di Taro is also a cute village to visit for ice cream, food and a good playground for our small kids! Thanks a lot for everything! We wish to come back in the future!

A dive into the past in Marco's home, a delightful home well furnished with retro taste, large garden and super location! Marco is very helpful and always attentive to respect requests! I recommend it

The place is BEAUTIFUL and the accommodation is as beautiful as in the photos and well cared for in detail and cleanliness; highly recommended, excellent value for money👍 ATTENTION, in addition to there being no Wi-Fi as specified in the listing, THERE IS NO PHONE SIGNAL in the room and throughout the town. You can access the Wi-Fi connection of Francesco's house in the village, but you have to go there, the connection does not reach the room, so if you have to work remotely, be available or have things to do that require connection while you are traveling, it is not convenient. Apart from this magical place for those who love romance and nature, the B&B has beautiful people and great hospitality! 🏆😜 Highly recommended 👍🏆🏆🏆

Monia is a very kind and helpful host. The house is very large with comfortable beds, two bathrooms with a large and perfectly functioning shower.

A fantastic stay with breathtaking views that will never bore. From this location, you have the opportunity to visit many sights (Bologna, Modena, tastings, hikes, etc.), and then really come 'home' again. Thank you for sharing this magical place and the enormous hospitality Paul and Ruth.

We stayed for 2 days at Silvias lovely house and wish we could have stayed for longer. It has been beautifully decorated and furnished and has everything you need for a special stay. Everything was SUPER clean. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in (and is huge!). Silvia and her husband are really thoughtful, friendly and helpful, with lots of suggestions for the area. Good walks and cycle routes from the door. There is a small pottery nearby where the ceramicist will provide private lessons, and of course there are lots of opportunities to buy prosciutto and parmigiano reggiano! This was a wonderful, relaxing stay and we highly, highly recommend Silvias house. thank you Silvia and Joris xx

Really lovely place, we felt right at home. Elena was always very responsive and helpful with everything, check-in and out was easy. Internet was fast and reliable with decent workspaces. We really appreciated the little details of having things like oil and herbs, etc, to use in the kitchen, rather than many bare bones Airbnbs that just have salt. Kitchen was very well equipped with pretty much everything you could need. Location is great, numerous stores in the area, including grocery stores, everything is very walkable. The only slightly negative thing is the bed is pretty noisy and squeaky when just shifting positions, which can be difficult if your partner is a light sleeper. But we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we ever find ourselves in Parma -- and hopefully we do, because the food is incredible!

We had a great stay! The apartment was exactly as described, with all the promised amenities in perfect working order. The host was very communicative and provided clear instructions for everything, which made the whole experience smooth and easy. The location is excellent, and overall we had no complaints. Very central house, convenient to get anywhere on foot, in the surroundings there are many places and activities. In addition, the apartment was really clean and well maintained, there is everything you need for your stay.

Great place. Convenient location, although a bit tricky to reach by car. We ended up parking 8 min away and carrying our luggage. Would be nice to know in advance how to reach the side road for unloading. The place itself is spacious and comfortable, even though it is very echo-y. Air conditioning works beautifully.

Very family-friendly accommodation, we were on the fourth floor with a lift, small balcony in the kitchen with table and chairs, great for outdoor breakfast and smoking. Apartment with 2 bathrooms. Possibility of parking in the garage if you can't find a parking space on the street.

Gianni’s apartment was great. The balcony was such a special treat and we enjoyed our morning beverages at the table. Great location and easy to walk to everything. It is in the center of many restaurants and is loud later into the evening. But we came prepared with ear plugs so we slept fine.

The stay in this accommodation was truly impeccable! The house was exactly as described: attention to detail and equipped with all the necessary comforts to feel at home. The location was in a quiet area and a short walk from the historic centre, ideal for exploring the city without stress. The host was available, kind and attentive to every need. He provided very useful information on restaurants and public transport, always being present but never intrusive. The attention to small details was also very much appreciated: there was something to eat for breakfast, coffee capsules... I would recommend this accommodation without hesitation to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-organised experience.

Excellent location in the centre of Parma for getting around on foot. Spacious and comfortable accommodation in a stately building. Responsive and very helpful host. Highly recommended.

Quiet place just outside of the busy central city at walkable to everything you want to see. A big plus is the private parking space but be aware that anything bigger than a compact car will be difficult to park there. The wireless was a little finicky to get onto at first, but once we restarted the router and seemed to work fine thereafter. The host was very responsive and accommodating. The air conditioning cooled the entire apartment to a comfortable temperature and the double glazing made the bedroom. Very quiet for sleeping. Good choice, especially if you have a car!

The apartment is super centrally located in Parma. You have a great view from the balcony. Alfonso responds quickly and is helpful. There are many good restaurants in the area. In the kitchen, there is everything you need for cooking and a Bialetti. We would always come back here when we are in Parma.

Check-in and check-out were very easy and understandable, also with the help of Michela's English-speaking son. The parking spot in the underground parking is a big plus! The apartment was extremely clean and everything you need for a short break was available. The immediate surroundings are not too nice, but you can quickly reach the city centre on foot or by bus and enjoy it. All in all, I would recommend the apartment due to the good value for money!
