From the window of the upper floor of the renovated barn, which is located next to our farm, you have a view of the Cabauwse mill, and if you are lucky the stork will be brooding across the street. Aan de Kaai is in (Cabauw/Lopik), on the border of the provinces of Utrecht and Zuid Holland. In the middle of the Groene Hart of the Utrecht Waarden and the Krimpenerwaard.

Bakhuisje on the Lek

Welcome to our “bakhuisje”: a national monument from +- 1700. The house is cozy and comfortable; living downstairs, bed is upstairs on the mezzanine. It has a cozy electric fireplace and a comfy couch. The bathroom has everything needed. Kitchenette (without cooking) with small fridge + coffee/tea and a beautiful view (vegetable garden, greenhouse, fruit trees). Of course WiFi and a workplace. Beautiful surroundings for walking/cycling and a small sandy beach in the river at 2 minutes walking.

Our B&B is equipped with all modern facilities such as a modern kitchen, Philips Hue lighting, smart TV and Quooker. The cozy veranda is complete with a luxury Jacuzzi and wood stove. The B&B with large private garden and unobstructed view is completely shielded from the farmhouse by a fence and is only accessible to you as a guest. From the Finnish barrel sauna on the adjacent terrace, you can look out over the picturesque city meadows. A delicious breakfast of your choice is optional.

Close to the charming center of Breda, Etten-Leur or Prinsenbeek. The forest, named Liesbos, has been owned by the royal family. They also used this place for the hunt. Welkom op ‘de Hoogt’ in Oud Alblas, een monumentale boerderij in de Alblasserwaard. U kunt op ‘de Hoogt’ overnachten in onze b&b. Op ons terrein staat ‘Huisje op de terp’ die we hebben omgetoverd in een prachtig huisje, waar we zelf tijdens de verbouwing van de boerderij ruim twee jaar met veel plezier in gewoond hebben. ‘ Huisje op de terp’ is een 4 pers. huisje met douche, toilet, keuken en 2 slaapkamers. Ontbijt is optioneel bij te boeken.

We converted it into a beautiful cottage, where we ourselves lived for over two years with great pleasure during the renovation of the farm.
