There were four of us in the apartment and we felt very comfortable. Ilkka personally welcomed us. The house is close to the road and is well accessible by car even in winter. The sauna is great, the beds comfortable and the sofa new. Spices and coffee were provided. Ilkka arranged us cheaply for cross-country skis and snowshoes and spelt a cross-country ski trail for us that started behind the house. We also saw the aurora lights 2x. Everything was super straightforward. Thank you very much.

Everything went well and the apartment was in a picturesque location, close to services. Marja responded to messages quickly and kindly and the apartment had all the promised amenities.

We loved our stay at Jussi‘s place. Everything was very clean, the surroundings peaceful and quite. He even gave us a really good recommendation where to find local food with high quality. When we accidentally locked ourselves out, he responded quickly, kind and very proactive. All in all an extremely pleasant experience and i would love to come back some time in the future!

Cozy and well-equipped apartment with good location near train station and services. Everything worked, I appreciated the coffee (being able to choose between dark or light roast😀), as well as oatmeal, and the basic things you always need. But the best part was the bike that was able to tour bike trails. And the bus to the university left in front of the house. Maybe it's a good idea to have woolen socks, at least in cool weather. at least in cool weather. Thanks

Riitta's apartment is a lovely place to stay, very cozy and well-equipped. Riitta is a great host, very helpful and friendly; she proactively sent detailed instructions with maps and photos showing how to get inside - really appreciated. And most importantly, it is a comfortable place to spend some time. A few things have been updated since the photos (e.g. bed and TV); the bed is very nice. As this is her own home, it has everything you will need including some cooking ingredients available for guests' use, and it is expected that guests leave the place cleaned ready for the next guest or for her return - completely reasonable. And she has spent the time to write an extensive local guide with her reviews of places to go in Oulu (with some honest humour about which places are "not very chic" or "full of Nokia engineers"!). The location is very convenient and central, very close to the railway station and a short walk from many shops and restaurants. I'd gladly return for a longer stay.

We stayed in Meri's apartment in Oulu for the weekend and had a great time. Communicating with Merv was friendly and smooth, we got answers to our questions and inquiries quickly, and all in all, there was a lot of flexibility in terms of accommodation both on arrival and departure. The apartment was already charming based on the pictures, but it really delighted us with its comfort and functionality. The details were taken into account nicely, making the apartment a really pleasant accommodation, in addition to which the apartment was practical, offering all the comforts you need for a weekend stay. We will be happy to be Mervi's tenants again as long as we visit Oulu again and we can warmly recommend the place to other travelers.
