Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Österåker Municipality

We had a fantastic stay at the place - super nice and quiet surroundings in the middle of nature! Christina and her husband were also there - we had a very nice and extensive conversation and felt very comfortable. Individually furnished accommodation, typically Scandinavian - everything you need. The island is quite easy to explore - everyone on site was consistently friendly and open and the nature really seeks its equal. We fell in love - we will be happy to come back for the Swedish summer as in the picture book. Only tip: take a close look at how ferries travel to and from the island (but Christina is/was also very flexible and accommodating). We will be happy to come back!!

It is a beautiful house in the archipelago to enjoy family and create lasting memories. We were able to bring our sailboat and 16ft motorboat, use the dock, sauna, hang on the porch, use the charcoal grill, swim in the pool and off the dock, take our power boat to nearby towns, stores, and restaurants. We walked the island numerous days during our visit and enjoyed the scenery. Extraordinary place.

My sister and I spent five nights in this tiny home on Vaxholm. The location is perfect. We were lucky with the weather, so we had our breakfast in the garden right next to the sea every morning, and sometimes enjoyed the evening sun there too. It's also easy walking distance to the ferry. The house is very simple but nicely decorated and has the basics you need. The kitchen is fine for cooking simple meals but isn't really big/equipped enough to cook big meals (we tested it to its limits). We'd recommend walking around the island, and around the Bogesund reserve across the water; visiting the Hembygdsgårds café ☕; seeing the sunset at Eriksöbadet; and catching a ferry to Grinda. Take note, the online ferry timetables are a bit useless, just go to the port! We also hired a bike one day and cycled ~60km around the Bogesund area, which we really enjoyed. 🚲 Thank you for a lovely stay! 🌞

We have stayed in about 30 AirBnBs but this was our favorite. The rooms caught the morning sunshine through to the evening sunset, everything was so spacious and comfortable. The location was blissful, yet within an easy drive of Vaxholm and Stockholm. Supermarket close by. We all felt so relaxed.

A truly beautiful place—clean, cozy, and peaceful. If you’re looking to escape the hectic pace of city life and unwind in nature, this is the perfect spot. The jacuzzi is top-quality and adds an extra touch of luxury. Andres and Kristin were incredibly kind and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Lovely place, lovelyhost

We experienced outstanding holidays. We have booked a few places on Airbnb already but Maggie’s and Hakan’s hospitality was more than excellent and on top of any our experiences so far. They gave us great ideas for excursion and had always time for a little chat. We really felt like a part of the family:-) Although there are excellent bus connections we would recommend a car to get to place easier and quicker. Car can often be left at park and ride places to go to Stockholm for example. Wonderful garden to relax and to have a barbecue. We would definitely come back:-)

Beautiful place in a charming area! I loved exploring Vaxholm and the nearby island, and transit to Stockholm is easy, as there is a direct bus. Evie is a great host!

Lovely stay in Nevila’s apartment in Vaxholm! Comfortable beds with fresh linens and all necessary conveniences, and the apartment was meticulously kept and clean. We were very impressed with not only our stay, but also the friendly, inviting and flexible communication with Nevila, warm thanks and our finest recommendation!

Eva and her family were very welcoming hosts. We had everything we needed and more during our stay at their beautiful and special place. We even enjoyed a bath in the pool. We had a lovely view from the terrace and the surrounding is also nice and green and with good restaurants. Thank you for having us!

The place was cozy, had exactly what we needed (kitchen utensils, towels and shampoo...) and Line would always answer clearly and offer help whenever we needed it. The neighbourhood was really nice, close to the water and nature, and with good spots to walk around. We didn't have a car, and managed to reach the accommodation just with SL. There is a bus to Åkersberga's city every hour, where the closest mall is. We really enjoyed our stay and we definitely recommend Line's place.

Excellent experience. The accommodation was exactly as described clean, comfortable, and equipped with all the amenities we needed. The proximity to the airport was perfect, making our travel incredibly convenient. The host was very friendly, helpful, and always available for any questions. Very much enjoyed staying at Aura and Diaco's place, it's very well located and is a pleasant place to spend time. The hosts were very helpful with instructions for check in and check out and even provided useful information about how to travel from the airport.

Stay in Sweden during the holiday of the end of the year very well decorated accommodation welcoming and very warm

This is a really special find. The flat is roomy with a high ceiling (if anything the photos underplay the space). It’s a stylish, creative place, cleverly furnished and the kitchen very well kitted-out. The outside area is leafy and green, great for kids and meals in warm weather - or just sitting and reading. The garden is accessible from the kitchen and opens out to the middle of a courtyard with a nice area connected to the flat as well as an added communal space with a big table, treehouse and slide which in a week we saw no-one else use. The location is the best we’ve ever stayed in in Stockholm, near Centrum as well as lots of parks and was an excellent first time introduction to the city for our 6 year old daughter. It’s Katja’s living space (which is where Airbnb is best) and everything is well tucked away with a decent amount of storage for guests. Two bedrooms tucked away on one side and another bedroom connected to the living area and its huge(!) sofa. Very much recommend.

Wonderfully adorned and a perfect place to stay for a small family. The space is very well-equipped and has a great little toy bin for the little ones to keep busy. It's in a fun location close to a couple accessible bus stops and lots to do around in Sodermalm. Would definitely stay again. We had a fantastic time.

Eliad was a perfect host! Communication was smooth, instructions given were clear! The accommodation was wonderful, right next to transport and the bedding was incredible. I would recommend!

Great house with nice history. Rural yet only a short bus ride from downtown and walking distance to shopping mall. The wife even took a bathroom even though it was 10 degrees both on land and in the water.
