Be prepared to enjoy your day in a green and peaceful place, away from the city chaos. You’ll be able to watch a truffle dog at work in harmony with nature. It will be a delightful surprise to see how much satisfaction our faithful friends can give us! During the journey, I will tell you everything about truffles and I will be happy to answer at any of your questions. By the end of the hike, I will bring you to a typical farmhouse where you will be able to taste delicious dishes based on truffles and not only that! The menu includes: - Appetizer with salami, cheeses, jams, seasonal vegetables and bruschetta with truffles. - Homemade pasta with fresh truffle. - Eggs with truffles, seasonal vegetables, wild boar. - Dessert. - Free water and wine. - Coffee and bitter. We also have menus for vegetarians, celiacs and vegans. The meeting point is the farm "Aia del Tufo" which is a 50 minute drive from Orvieto, in the Tuscan Maremma. You can reach the meeting point only with the car. Contact me for more information. Other things to note Long trousers are required and it’s necessary to bring a bottle of water for the journey. I also suggest wearing a comfortable pair of boots. Bring a trekking pole if you have one.

An unforgettable experience, leaving Orvieto reaching La Badia and then crossing beautiful landscapes from Canale Nuovo to Boccetta, we get Civita di Bagnoregio. Farmhouses, wine cellars, meadows where sheep flocks graze, beeches, oaks and chestnut woods sorround this plateau where a changeless breeze makes enjoyable also hottest summer days. When we get to the terrace from where ancient Civita is admirable, all its nonpareil beauty apears. Crossing tehe bridge like suspended in the air we enter into "Castle in the Sky", as it' s called this hamlet, movie set for many grat films. Inside we forget all our mind, we enter an age-old world, with little shops where scents and essences are obtained with an ancient craft. Taverns, public houses, all of them settle down in very old rooms invite to taste genuine products, wines from native vines, tipical local products. Riding back the e-bike to Orvieto, but going through a new route, we stop at "Terrazza Farnese" the nicest panoramic site from where take unforgatteble pictures of "the Rupe" Other things to note Large parking area close rental point, no problem leaving car for many hours too. We will begin our tasting itinerary with a visit to the 1300s cellar dug into the tuff. Here I will tell you a little about how this cave was used in the past. After the underground visit we will go back up and sit down at the tables overlooking the Duomo, if the weather does not allow it, the tasting will be inside, we will begin to taste typical Orvietana products such as roast pork, dried sausages and ham, and even cheeses with various maturations ; everything will be combined with the wines of our city, both white and red. Then, as usual, we'll end up with the holy wine with tozzetti with almonds and hazelnuts. We will first have an appetizer to have a chat and to get to know each other. I will be together with my 2 partners as we run the hives together. Then we will have an hour or more of theory about bees and their world: you will understand their circle of life, their duties, how they reproduce themselves, which flowers and plants they do prefer, how bees and beekeepers produce honey, royal jelly, propolis, pollen... Afterwards we will go in the apiary and open some hives and look at them very closed (with protective gears), understanding some apiculture technics and differences between natural hives and rational apiculture. To finish this amazing experience we will taste different local honeys and learn how to analyse the different aromas! Other things to note You will feel surprised how calm bees can be. Despite so, I would not recommend this experience to people strongly allergic to insect bites/stings. In summer it can be extremely hot around midday, that's why we will perform the course during the early morning.

We start with our e-bikes from Piazza del Duomo in Orvieto to reach Albornoz Fortress where we have a 15 minutes stage for admiring wonderful landscape on Monte Peglia, MAB Unesco reserve, and tell some word about Orvieto's history. Then we will get the "Ring" of Orvieto in order to have unforgottable views from different angles. We stop also come minutes just above "Etruscan Necropolis" where historians are still studying to better understand that fascinating civilization. After we go again inside the very center of Orvieto through "Roman Door", reaching a terrace from where you may take beautiful pictures on Orvieto and lands around. Again by e-bike we get S. Andrea Church and Piazza del Popolo, ending our tour in Piazza del Duomo again, where in a very old and unic winery (an Etruscan cave used now as private wine cellar) we will have our unforgottable wine and food tasting, an experience of scents and tastes that will make this tour an extraordinary "souvenir" of your holiday. Products very genuine from the land and tipical wines of the territory tasted in a spectacular place, just seat in front of Orvieto's Cathedral .
