Cabin with stunning views in quiet surroundings. Short distance to the fjord and a rowing boat is available during the summer months. The cottage has a mini-kitchen, fridge, small oven and microwave. Not dishwasher. Bathroom with shower and toilet, heating cables in the floor. Living room with lounge area, dining table and a cozy fireplace. The bedrooms are very small. Covered porch with outdoor furniture. Bed linen and towels are not included. When snow, you have to park by the road and walk the last 50 meters up to the cabin. Parking by the cabin during summer.

Big Cabin

Ortnevik is two and half hours north of Bergen, on the south side of the Sognefjord. It's a picturesque Norwegian village sitting by the fjord at the foot of the Stølsheimen National Park. The local ferry can take you to see a bit more of the surrounding area, such as Vik, Voss and Flåm. Along side the mountain and forest trails, fishing and rowing activities found here. We expect guests to clean the cabin to the same standard they found it in or there is the option of cleaning for 500 NOK.

Welcome to Klokkargarden - the quiet pearl in Aurland! The old part of the house was built 1947 and we are now the 4th and 5th generation living here. It has always been Marit’s favourite place and it is growing on Espen as well. The new part of the house where you find your flat was was finished 2018. The outdoor area is still "work in progress" - but lift your eyes and you can see the beauty of the Aurlandsfjord. The flat is well suited for 2-3 adults or 2 adults plus 2 young children.

Nearest supermarked is in Naustdal, 12 km from the cabin, and local cafe/shop is 10 min away. Free WiFi in the cabin. Motorboat for rent (summer season). Self service farm shop with fresh eggs!

This property was by FAR the most amazing Airbnb I have ever stayed at! The views were breath taking. The house had every single thing you need and more. The host went out of his way to make sure we had the best experience possible. If you are seeing this post you MUST take this opportunity to stay here. We rented the boat for a very reasonable price and it enhanced our experience ten fold. Host is flexible and extremely responsive at all times of the day. Loved every second we had here and if I ever come back to Norway I will definitely be staying here again.

So far the most beautiful accommodation on our travels. Extremely clean, well equipped, wonderful view, very private. Unfortunately, we were only there for one night. You could linger here for a long time. Absolutely recommended! I hope future guests appreciate the accommodation as if it were their own and treat it accordingly, so that it stays that way for a long time. Thank you for a wonderful stay, which we will fondly remember.

The tent is absolutely fantastic. It is clean, well stocked, and absolutely beautiful to stay in. We arrived and Kjetil was there to greet us and shared stories about the history of the land, and his family. He even let us sample some locally brewed beers from a drinking tool that had been in his family for 250 years, as well us supplying us with a bottle of locally brewed beers. Overall, the stay was extremely pleasant and the host equally delightful. Will definitely be recommending.

We had a wonderful stay at Jarand’s cabin! The location is incredible and the cabin had stunning views. We enjoyed going for a hike in the area and going for a cool down in the stream. The cabin had everything we needed, including things to make coffee and easy meals. We were a bit worried about finding it, but Jarand gave helpful directions. If you follow Google maps to the coordinates, you’ll find where you should park easily and then have a short but steep hike up a clearly marked path. It was wonderful to disconnect for a few days and we have already recommended Jarand’s place to a few friends!
