Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Ocean Beach, San Diego

I had an amazing stay at the beach house hosted by David and Brandon in Ocean Beach. The house was super nice, very spacious, and incredibly clean—you can tell they really take pride in keeping it well-maintained. The location is perfect, just a short walk to everything: the beach, shops, and great local restaurants. On top of that, the hosts were extremely responsive—any time I messaged, they got back to me quickly and were very helpful. I’ll definitely be reserving again in the future. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The house was incredibly quiet, which made for a relaxing and peaceful getaway. I absolutely loved the aesthetic—thoughtfully designed, cozy, and full of charm. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, which made it feel even more comfortable. Highly recommend if you're looking for a serene and stylish place to unwind!

Our stay at the Carter Cottage was beyond words. We struggled to find a home that could accommodate our group for the weekend we stayed and we were overjoyed to find such a perfect retreat. Not only was the home well positioned in town near the sunset cliffs and local eateries, it was hard to leave because the house was designed so beautifully. Every detail was thoughtfully done. We really had a hard time saying goodbye at the end of our stay. We will be making this our destination going forward. Thank you Ashlyn and Travis!

Great stay! Everything was as shown/described - clean with pretty much everything you can need. The area felt safe and had great restaurants nearby. Instructions and expectations were super clear - we would stay again!

We didn’t want to leave!!! This was by far the best place we’ve ever stayed at in the OB area, and hope we can stay again in the future. Great neighborhood, extremely comfortable bed, tastefully decorated, and cozy outdoor space. The only negative is the internet- it drops about every 30-45 minutes, so if you are planning to work remotely, it can pose a bit of a challenge. Other than that, it was absolutely perfect!

This home is absolutely amazing. It is even better than the pictures make it seem and was perfect for our family of four (including two kids aged 6 and 8). The location worked perfectly for us in that the distance to the beach and restaurants was easily walkable but it was just far enough away to allow for a peaceful and quiet stay. Alejandra and Rodrigo were very good to deal with and responsive. We also met the daughter of the owners who wrote a lovely description of how this amazing house came to be in the guest book. Our only regret was not using the restaurant recommendations enough because we tried one of them on our last night there and it was amazing! I could not recommend this rental unit more highly.

Excellent stay. Super responsive host. Place is beautiful and very clean. We stayed for our son’s graduation from Marine Corps basic training and it was very easy to get to the base from here. If we ever get back to San Diego area we would definitely stay here again!

All I can say is, wonderful. It had everything we needed. From coolers, beach towels and beach chairs. We didn’t have to buy anything because they had it all. They had extra fans for the rooms. The home was very peaceful and walk to the beach took us about 3 minutes.. Next trip to San Diego will be at this home.

Comfortable and no major problems.

Stayed at Angela’s beach condo for a week and a half and loved it so much! So nice to have a dedicated parking spot as we’ve stayed in this neighborhood before and sometimes finding parking can be tricky. It was wonderful to be close to the beach and my favorite PB restaurants - I could easily walk to get coffee, pastries, tacos, and a great local yoga studio. Would love to be back in the future - thanks for a great trip Angela!

Jasmines place is a gem! In a very peaceful area, beautiful view to walk out to every morning. The outside deck was a huge plus, very cozy. She not only gave us good food recommendations but was very flexible with our check out time. Would recommend to anyone!

This wonderful find was amazing!! Beautiful decor, not cluttered, very clean and everything had a place and easy to find. They made sure that if you forgot something, they had it there for you! Richard literally thought of everything, we were amazed!! Very cozy outside with a lovely fireplace to sit around and beds to sit in the sun 😎 If you stumble across this place, you will not be disappointed ! Thank you Richard for opening up your place to us , your communication and helpfulness during our stay. We will definitely be back!

Loved staying here a second time! Make sure you drop people off/unload in front of the unit to avoid making others wait to park and don’t get a giant car - the garages are a tight fit like everywhere else in mission beach.

We had a lovely Memorial Day weekend at Richard's place!! Very cute cottage that was clean, bright, and had all the amenities. We loved that he included a wagon, beach chairs, umbrella, and beach toys for us to use. The beach was an easy few blocks away and took about 10 to 15 minutes to get to. Restaurants are within walking distance too. There were also plenty of bikes and helmets available to use and my family was able to enjoy a lovely ride in the neighborhood. Richard was very responsive, helpful, and kind. We enjoyed ourselves and look forward to going back!!

Pretty much perfect. Location is just stupid perfect. Walk right over to the Del Coronado, right to the beach, right to coffee. The place is perfect for a couples romantic stay. I plan on going back each year. I would suggest using their parking at the B of A right next door. Totally worth it. I really have zero bad things to say. Value A+. Easy A+ Clean A+. Safety A+++++. Lobster rolls across the street A+. Buzzed coffee around the corner A++++. I’ll be back.

Absolutely loved our stay at this charming A-frame cabin! Spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and felt brand new. The AC was on when we arrived—such a thoughtful touch on a hot day. Communication with the host was excellent, and the welcome guide made everything super easy. The location is peaceful and private, perfect for bird watching by day and stargazing at night. The beds were comfy, the jacuzzi tub was sparkling clean, and the high-tech toilet (seat warmer + bidet!) was a fun surprise. We loved the collection of vintage records and board games—so cozy and nostalgic. Ideal for a romantic getaway but spacious enough for more guests. We’re already dreaming of our return!

This place is so cool. It felt like very remote but still accessible. We loved the decor and grounds. The place is stocked with everything you need. The host was very responsive. We had some trouble with the pool and not clearly understanding the directions or limitations with regard to heating but we were able to work with the host to get things figured out. Overall great stay, especially for large groups and kids. We would return and highly recommend.

This is one of those true gems you’re absolutely stoked to stumble upon. The minute we drove down the country lane and saw the house, my wife and I knew we had found a truly magical getaway. We both agree it’s one of the top three homes/properties we’ve had the pleasure of experiencing! Every square inch of the property is amazing. The house is beautiful. The kitchen is stocked and perfect for those who enjoy cooking. We cooked three of the four nights because we just loved the atmosphere and views so much! Our four year old absolutely loved exploring the trails, pond and backyard. The hot tub was in perfect condition. Rare! The awesome fire-pit on the balcony was perfect for making smores and staying warm while listening to the frogs sing while stargazing. We played games, watched movies and just had a perfect long weekend. The worst part was having to say goodbye! It was so peaceful, it’s going to be hard to beat such a good nights rest. Another week would have been nice!

Amazing place to stay with our family. So much to do on the ranch that we didn’t even have to leave to find something to do. It felt like a home away from home and being surrounded by animals was an animal lovers dream. My teenage nephews who are always on their phones even loved it here. Nick the dog was the sweetest and walked us and our guests to the front door and showed us around the ranch. Chancelor was an amazing host and provided us with so many recommendations and offered a tour of the ranch. We definitely have to come back to take him up on his offer so we can learn more. My family and I are thinking of making this an annual trip!

Wendy and Tony are very communicative, proactive and kind. They offered great suggestions of local areas. There are multiple patio areas with amazing plants and seating areas to enjoy the beautiful weather. We had a great stay, thank you!

This was such a beautiful and fun place to stay ! It’s hard to find something simple with a good price and this place was perfect in both aspects. The views were amazing the area around the cabin was so cute and very much made for 2. Loved that it was like glamorous camping in a bit city. A great get away. Thank you !

This place is exactly what you see. You have all the privacy you need, but you're not too far away from the market. Finding the place, getting inside and the amount of things that you can do at the home, makes it worth the stay. The house was spotless, and everything in the house works. No surprises.
