Chalet holiday rentals in Northeastern United States

We were very comfortable at King’s Cottage. We had everything we needed. It was so quiet, private, comfortable and well appointed. Messages from the host were friendly and helpful. Great stay in a beautiful spot!

Camp Shady is a picturesque riverside cabin away from all distractions. There’s plenty of room for the family or a few friends. Three bedrooms containing 2 full size beds and one with two twins. Despite there being no cell service, a strong WiFi connection and smart TV left little to be desired. Whether you’re there for the outdoors or Lake George, this is a great place to stay.

We can barely make it, and I'm thinking about going back! What a beautiful and warm feasted cottage. It was really what I expected and needed. My boyfriend loved it too. The location is not to be negotiated for hiking lovers, beautiful hikes in the Appalachian Park and the Massif du Sud. Just wow! And thank you to Rachelle for the delicious muffins!

We are so thankful to Jason and his family for sharing their special place with us. We immediately felt right at home and had more than enough room for all 3 adults. We were immediately blown away with the breathtaking river right in the front yard! We never saw anyone else on the river the whole trip so it felt like we had it all to ourselves too. We started our day listening to the river while drinking coffee on their beautiful deck. And, then later in the day, we enjoyed tubing down the river, leaving from a nearby bridge and ending the trip back at the property. I have a service dog, named Charlie, that did everything with us too (including floating down the river) and I think he enjoyed it as much, or more, than we did too. We wish we had made the trip a little longer because we never got a chance to use the hot tub on the deck, or the fire pit, etc. We hope Jason’s family will have us again because we’re already dreaming about coming back again next summer!

Amazing place and kayaking in the lake was the cherry on top.

We had an amazing week at the Baskaton Chalet. We stayed with our 2 dogs and felt right at home with comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen and a beautiful deck with a barbecue. We spent our evenings watching the sunset by the lake, and making fires in the evening. We had a great view of the wildlife and would 100% recommend visiting this beautiful home to anyone wanting to reconnect with nature.

The mountain Chalet was great! I had a nice and peaceful stay up there with my dog! When we arrived there was an adorable welcome basket with stuff for both of us! The chalet was adorable and had everything we needed for the weekend! We loved hanging in the sun porch and playing in the backyard. The location was also great close to a lot of walking trails and hikes. I would definitely recommend staying here!!

We had a wonderful visit with our family. The home is just as pictured on the website. We had everything we needed to cook good meals and relax together. The setting is beautiful. We enjoyed the views driving around the area. We were too early in the summer to do any water activities safely. We had some great walks in Molly Stark State Park and on the Valley Trail recommended by Danielle and Ben. Note there is little to no cell service at the site of the home. WiFi access was very stable. Cell service improves in town.

It was remote compared to the graduation we were attending in the area but we all felt worth the distance. Very comfortable, incredibly clean, well designed house. We had freezing weather so were not able to use the deck or fire pit area. Thank you, Michelle!

We had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend at Edward’s place in the Catskills. The home is an architectural gem—beautiful, relaxing, and perfectly immersed in nature. It’s in a great location near restaurants and hiking, and also worked really well for a remote work day. Edward was incredibly helpful and responsive, and our whole family—from kids to grandparents—had a fantastic time.

The photos don’t even begin to do this place justice! There’s so much beautiful greenery and places to safely wander with friends on the property. There’s a few sweet towns and spots to check out nearby as well. We had a great time with the treehouse and enjoyed the beautiful backyard. It rained a few days we were staying, but the house was perfectly cozy for us and it didn’t feel like we were missing out on anything. This place is amazing!

This place is absolutely beautiful! The house is incredible (and so is the decor!), the woods are calm and quiet, and there were plenty of toys, both inside and outside, for our toddler to enjoy! Also, loved the shower’s pressure and consistent temperature and though the kitchen sink was awesome (actually wrote down the name of the faucet because we’re in need of a replacement at home)! We’d definitely recommend this Airbnb to anyone checking it out :)

Josh was very responsive and accommodating throughout our stay. The home was beautiful, clean, and comfortable — we would definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay; the house was ideally situated in a private, wooded area and yet just a few minutes drive into Manchester. The views from the house were spectacular. The house had a cozy mountain chalet feel and yet equipped with a very modern kitchen. We took advantage of both the fire pit and the hot tub.

If you want to book a family vacation that you will never forget, I would highly recommend this gorgeous property! Our family of 5 loved everything about the house…from the unique architecture to the beautiful decor to the super comfortable beds and so much more. The view from the deck was by far the best one we have seen from any house we have rented. It truly exceeded our expectations! I think the best thing about this home is that you feel like you are in the middle of the woods for that true cabin experience, but you are only minutes from stores, restaurants, etc. It is extremely private and peaceful. The spacious house was very clean and meticulously maintained. We didn’t encounter any issues during our stay. The contactless check-in process was seamless and the wi-fi was excellent and easy to use. Veronique was an exceptional host and very friendly. So thankful we chose this home for our vacation. Very peaceful and quiet location. Had all the amenities and is well furnished. Not much need to leave the property but still close enough to small towns with shops and many nice hikes. Seems like a great place to stay any time of year. Our dog was able to swim right from the deck which was nice.

Our stay at Patti’s chalet was incredible! The home itself is beautiful and the view of the lake is breathtaking. It is a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood, which we enjoyed walking around every morning. It is also conveniently located—only 20 minutes to downtown Keene. The home is clean and boasts modern amenities. Our favorite features were the decks, fireplace, spacious kitchen, comfy couch, and the game room. The arcade and foosball table were so much fun. This stay was the perfect combination of rest, relaxation and fun. Patti was a very responsive host. We would definitely stay again!

exceptional site in nature, a haven of peace. Virginie is an outstanding hostess and the chalet, I mean the house, has a special character and is very well equipped for 10 people. Don't trust the photos, it's even better!

What a beautiful, peaceful place. My wife and were looking for a quick getaway/workcation, and this was the perfect spot for it. Everything we needed in a cozy, comfortable cabin-y spot. Being on the river and enjoying the falls nearby was especially great. The house is great, and very comfortable all-around. We're looking forward to coming back and enjoying in different seasons. The host was great and communication had everything we needed.

Beautiful cottage with a breathtaking view. Extremely well equipped whether in the bedrooms, kitchen, or activities. Very comfortable. Note: few or no walking trails directly accessible on foot from the chalet. Not suitable for those who are afraid of stairs.

Melanie’s place was fantastic! Better than on the pictures. It was more spacious than expected. The house has everything you can hope for for in a rental and more. Fully equipped kitchen, bathrooms, lots of games. The surroundings are beautiful. It feels like the lake is private as there are no other house directly on the lake. We had a wonderful time. The chalet is very cosy and nicely decorated. Super comfortable beds. The only negative point was the thousand of mosquitoes waiting to bite us outside. But by a lake it is expected.

Overall, we liked it !
