“What a lovely little loft apartment, with lots of thoughtful extras. The loft is well designed and had everything we needed. It was really quiet and we could hear an owl during the night. Brian and Jane were really helpful and interested in how our days had been spent. We were lucky enough to be shown around the smallholding by Jane, and we were able to feed the sheep. We will definitely be going back! Thank you again!”
Located in the High Weald area of Kent which is an AONB, The Cabin at Valley View Farm is set in its own space amongst 16 acres of wood and grazing. It used to be an old hop pickers mobile home but has been lovingly restored to a modern, well presented “mini” haven. A fully self-contained cabin with open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area, king size bed in bedroom and a shower room and toilet. Ideal for a couple or two singles as a Z-bed can be provided. Private outside veranda with a fire pit.
“A beautiful rural cabin surrounded by countryside and even a beautiful little private area of forest! The perfect way to escape for a break of relaxation in the middle of nature. Karen and David were wonderful hosts, always on hand to give advice and recommendations for local walks, cafes, restaurants etc. We would 100% recommend a visit to Lime Wharf cafe by the boating station which has amazing breakfasts and the best brownies ever! Karen and David have some wonderful animals, ponies and dogs, who were beautiful and very friendly, and we were lucky to be able to spend some time with them, and hearing their stories. Thank you Karen and David for a wonderful weekend!”
Coldharbour Barn Port is one of a pair of similar apartments . Both have their own totally separate accomodation and private patio areas. They are set in beautiful Kent countryside down a farm lane, but still within a short 0.5 mile walk of the historic town of Tenterden. Each unit has a fully equipped kitchen with an open plan sitting and eating area. The properties are both new conversions and are built to modern building safety regulations. Chapel Down vineyard is a 5-10 minute drive.
“I booked James apartment for the weekend as part of my husbands 30th birthday celebrations and I’m so pleased I did! Location was ideal as we were about a 10/15 minute walk from Tenderten High Street, perfect for exploring the local pubs in the day! In the evening we were able to get a taxi to dinner and back no problem, as long as you book in advance. We also used taxis to get to and from Chapel Down the next day, very friendly and reliable! This location is ideal if you’re planning to visit chapel down while your here. The apartment itself was exceptionally clean and fitted out to a very high standard. We felt very at home straight away as it had everything we needed. James as a host was very friendly and helpful. We would love to come back!”
