Lake house holiday rentals in New South Wales

Lovely large house and yard that is very secluded. You can Watch the kookaburras, kangaroos, eagles and dolphins from the deck. Lots of rooms and well appointed kitchen,bathrooms, laundry and lounge room . The Massive dining table come in great use also, with the pool room well used.

Sensational property, we wish we could have stayed longer. 8 of us visited over Xmas and we had everything we needed and more. Beautiful Xmas lunch on the back deck overlooking the water. Would highly recommend.

The Brightwaters house was located on a beautiful section of the lake, right on the water. During the day, the kids enjoyed swimming, kayaking and fishing. The house was spacious, with plenty of room inside, and we especially liked the upstairs verandah overlooking the water. The area is very quiet and well suited to winding down. A Coles, Celebrations and bar with restaurant are located only a few minutes drive away, which covered all our bases for a relaxing getaway. Ala (host) communicated details well and was very responsive to our messages. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this house and recommend it for a quiet break.

Our holiday at Helen's lakeside property was absolutely fantastic! The location could not have been more perfect, right in front of a serene lake with picture-perfect scenery. The view from the property was breathtaking, providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and memorable stay. The spacious outdoor deck allowed us to fully enjoy the natural beauty around us, whether we were having meals, playing games, or simply soaking in the view. Inside, the house was just as impressive—spacious, immaculate, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was clear that Helen has taken great care in maintaining the property, and it made our family feel right at home. What made this holiday even more special was the fact that it was a multi-generational trip with our children and grandchildren. Great place and great vibes of the surroundings.

The location of the home was fantastic. Being able to look out to the lake made the visit feel very peaceful even though you’re only a few minutes walk away from lively cafes and shops. Not having to drive to the Avoca markets was an added bonus. The living area is spacious and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. Ruth was a great host. Despite not have the best weather, we still found plenty to do in Avoca. If you’re looking for more entertainment Terrigal is less than a 10 minute drive away.

Lyn was amazing from the start, she set up the baby cot before we arrived and understood with a newborn that timing might be hard and was happy to give us an extension for check out, loved our stay we will definitely be back in the near future, Kids absolutely loved it they enjoyed swimming/fishing & Lyn was kind enough to let us dock the boat on the jetty which was a huge bonus

We had a lovely stay, the place was very relaxing and had everything we could have needed. Perfect for family’s. The host was very responsive too.

Anneke’s Retreat was everything that was promised. It has an amazing collection of indoor and outdoor activities available - bikes, boogy boards, paddle ski. It was very well stocked with firewood (for the cool weather). The pantry and kitchen are exceptionally well stocked with cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. The bbq was very easy to use - a real bonus as we cooked and ate mostly out on the wonderful deck overlooking the large creek. The bedrooms are very well appointed with toppers and bamboo sheets. It is definitely pet friendly with bedding, toys and bowls for the pets. I could go on - suffice to say - an exceptional place to stay. AND we’ll be back!

Best air bnb experience we have ever had. Kevin is such a responsive and helpful host. Gave us so many great local recommendations (definitely try Lagom Bakery across the road). House was also so beautifully decorated with so many nice touches to make it feel homely. Kitchen very well equiped. Beautiful yard and great to share the holiday with the dogs ☺️ 10/10 recommend! Hope to come back one day.

This place was awesome! Great views and great access to the water. The house was in tit top condition and had everything we needed. Ryan was really good to deal with. I would definitely stay there again! Highly recommend

What a lovely place. The photos really do not do this place any justice. It's more spacious than expected. The boat ramp is about a 2 minute walk, really convenient when you've got a boat. The banks along the lake are quiet, making it easy to have a set-up along the water during the stay too. Bird seed is also provided, and the king parrots are friendly enough to eat out of your hands. We really enjoyed waking up to such great views each morning, and would definitely stay again in the future.

Lovely large home with numerous spots for a large family to gather and congregate all together or in separate groups - on the verandah, in the garden and especially in the sun room. Excellent location on beside the pool and river. Close to shops and restaurants.

We had a three night stay for a family members birthday. 8 adults and 3 children and it was a great house for a large number. Plenty of private space, kitchen set up with lots of crockery cutlery platters etc. Two ensuites and a third bathroom and downstairs toilet was fantastic. As it was a warm weekend the air conditioning and ceiling fans were excellent. Jarrod gives great instructions to enter the property and is only a phone call away if you need help. Pool and Spa were a highlight of the weekend. BBQ was great. The back gate that takes you to a walking track and the lake was really handy. Parkrun start point is a stones throw from the back gate too. Jarrod is responsive with any little issues you may encounter and overall we all had a lovely stay. Also great to have all linen towels etc supplied.

I almost don’t want to give this place 5 stars, just so we can keep it to ourselves!!!! This is the most beautiful home and surroundings you will find in Mansfield. Clean, roomy and has all you need, with private access to the lake, which is absolutely perfect for boats and jetski’s. If you think it can’t get better wait until you meet Nell. She is an amazing host, so thoughtful, great with communication and has all the friendly tips for your drive and stay. We felt right at home here and without a doubt will be back to make many more great memories.

Stayed here multiple times. Mark is a great host and the property is fantastic. Clean, quiet, well appointed and perfect for our family boating holiday, especially when the lake is close to capacity.

It was an incredible place in a wonderful location. To a person, everyone that attended commented on what a sensational home it is. The fishing was a hit, even if the fish weren’t accomodating. 10/10

We definitely enjoyed our stay at Louise’s lovely home and would recommend to all. Everything was well thought out and had every amenity we could need. Not to mention the view was a gorgeous treat to wake up to!
