Pretty Home near Audubon Park & Streetcar

Relax and make yourself at home! We clean and sanitize between all bookings. Now get ready to settle in under the umbrella of the yard patio and relax in the leafy environs beside our old and elegant home. Floral decor mingles with traditional hardwood furnishings throughout an interior boasting original wood floors and a wealth of natural light. Treat yourself: you deserve it! The apartment is about 1,600 sq. ft., with 3 sunny, fresh bedrooms with high ceilings & ceiling fans plus a brand new HVAC, or Cental AC and Heating. Bedrooms: Guess what? Besides the original 3 beds + extra sofa bed in the living room, we now have a comfy twin-sized daybed with a Memory foam mattress for the added convenience of our guests. This is for parents with a young child or for adults who prefer sleeping solo. Hello sweet dreams… Two of our beds are modern Wilkerson Row styles and one is an antique Italian Angelhead, all with brand-new mattresses and fresh, clean, soft bedding. Each bedroom has 2 or more pillows: 1 Standard Feather, 1 Standard Down Alternative (large beds also have 2 D.A. European Shams. The back Bedroom has Room-Darkening Shades. Each bedroom has a Writing Desk. Hello, Baby Doll! We just purchased a Graco Pack 'N Play, cotton jersey knit sheets and a soft Coney Island baby blanket. This can be brought to your bedroom so your baby can rest by your side. We have a safety gate and a baby bath for your youngster's safety and comfort. The Living/Dining Room: The Living room La-Z-Boy Sofa Bed has a Memory Foam Mattress and 2 Standard Feather Pillows. You will also find a large Dining Table with Seating for up to 8 people, a drinks table and the new Samsung Smart TV. The Kitchen: Our Galley Kitchen is fully furnished with a Stove, a brand new Kitchen Aid dishwasher and other new appliances such as a Samsung Refrigerator & Microwave + Cuisinart Toaster and Coffee Maker. Need to look up a recipe or do some work while you're having your coffee? Pull out one of the Stools below the Kitchen cafe table. You'll find a Computer & Cell Phone Charging Station below the cafe table. There are also new Pots & Pans, spices. Get cooking, Chef! The back deck features a reclaimed teak bench and chairs with a view from on high. What a breeze! We have just added furniture and a charcoal Barbecue Pit to our shady backyard patio so you can light up the grill! You will have the entire apartment at your disposal! Your apartment is on the 2nd floor and it is totally private! You will be able to enter the front door by using a Code, which I will send to you once you arrive. Plus, there are Security Iron Doors for your safety. We love to talk with guests if they feel like it, but value your privacy! And of course, one of us will be happy to help if you need anything. Just knock on the door, text me or give us a ring. Set in a quiet residential neighborhood, our home is one block from the streetcar. It's a short walk from Audubon Park and the Zoo, plus great restaurants and boutiques. Tulane and Loyola Universities are a few blocks away right across from the park. You can get around on foot, by bike, car and on the historic the Saint Charles Streetcar, which goes downtown to Canal Street and the French Quarter. The ride costs just $1.25 each way and is very relaxing! Our Home's SHORT TERM RENTAL LICENSE PERMIT NUMBER is: 17STR-09682. We are happy to provide a complimentary CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST of cereal, milk, coffee, tea, and coffee creamer, like half and half, for the first 2-3 days. Step onto the balcony of an apartment that forms part of a building that dates back over 130 years. It was fully renovated in 2017 with a contemporary design, while boasting many original architectural features, including 12 foot high ceilings. The original structure was built around 1885 at the prominent corner of N. Claiborne Avenue and Basin Street(previously Orleans Avenue). In 1907, Dr. Emile J. LaBranche Sr. opened LaBranche’s Drug Store which was operated on the ground level of the property, with living quarters above. It was a fully owned and operated African American business, which boasted both Caucasian and African American clientele. The pharmacy, which was among the pioneering businesses in the area, provided opportunities for other medical doctors to start their careers. Over the years the property has served many different uses. Beginning the the fall of 2017, the property received a full historic renovation; returning the building to its original grandeur. The property consists of 2 private units on the 2nd floor of the building. Bright, Beautiful Apartment in Excellent Uptown Location

Open the yellow front door and enter an apartment that fuses traditional architecture with a modern Parisian vibe. Wake up in a light-filled bedroom and step through the floor-to-ceiling window to the gorgeous wraparound balcony. This adorable one-bedroom apartment features a brand-new kitchen and bathroom with a modern Parisian vibe. Open the yellow front door and enter a living room/kitchen combination that's got everything you need to relax comfortably after a long day riding the streetcar, strolling through Audubon Park and eating poboys and crawfish at Frankie & Johnny's. (See our complete list of the best neighborhood restaurants for more info.) A beautiful wood staircase leads upstairs to a light-filled bedroom, bath and tucked-away workspace. The cheery bathroom has subway tiles on the wall and penny rounds on the floor. There's a floor-to-ceiling window that provides access to a wraparound balcony with views of the St. Charles Avenue streetcar and the lovely neighborhood. Two giant oak trees in front of the house provide a leafy green canopy for most of the year. You have your own completely private apartment and your own balcony. We have a separate front door that leads to our side of the house. We will be happy to answer questions and help out whenever we're around. The home is in a beautiful neighborhood with a streetcar stop nearby that gets to downtown in just 20 minutes. Spend the day walking through the Audubon Zoo and explore the historic and exciting French Quarter at night. The apartment is a half block from a St. Charles Avenue streetcar stop. There is ample street parking in front of the house. You can walk to Magazine Street, Freret Street (also lots of restaurants and bars) and Audubon Park. Vacation or business, we expect you treat our home as if it were your own. No smoking indoors. No pets. No late night caterwauling. You must also acknowledge: Security Deposit - if you damage the home, you may be charged up to $200.
