We DO NOT host to children under 12 years old. Classic New Orleans apartment with character and charm located off the street in a lovely 1890's double shotgun. Stylishly furnished with many original architectural details - 13 foot ceilings, original hardwood floors and mantles, clawfoot tub with shower, and private, landscaped courtyard. Stylishly furnished - the living room sports a 52 inch t.v. + Amazon Fire Stick - the bedroom has a Tempurpedic king size mattress - the fully equipped kitchen has a residential size fridge and stove with seating for four. The private courtyard is located right off of the kitchen with a Weber charcoal grill and seating for four as well. Central heat and air, dishwasher, wifi, Keurig coffee maker, iron/ironing board and blow dryer. This apartment, as well as the courtyard, is private. You have your own gated entrance. It is not a shared space. We live on the property so if there is something you need, we can quickly respond and assist you. The home is in the historic, offbeat Marigny district, known for its bistros, bars, and music venues, adored by locals as well as vacationers. Walk to the French Quarter, Bywater, and Frenchman Street. Public transport and bike rental are close by. Located steps away from the St Claude bus line and a 8 minute walk to the St Claude streetcar line, both can take you to every part of the city. Walk or bike to Frenchman St and the French Quarter. Located in a diverse but quiet and safe neighborhood with central access to all of New Orleans through world famous Canal St. The beautiful apartment has a dining room and living room, fully stocked kitchen, with dishes, cookware etc. and a electric stove. Fully renovated bathrooms, private backyard, one garage car space and one off street parking spot (plenty of street parking as well) and window units. You have access to the entire ground floor that comes with own garage and backyard deck We greet guests for check-in as often as possible, but also provide self-check-in to accommodate late night and week-end arrivals. It is a fully separate home for you to enjoy. My husband and I live upstairs and we love to give recommendations about what to eat and where to go, but leave you to have your privacy. The apartment is in the neighborhood of Mid City. This is the heart of New Orleans, the area where locals come when they want to remember what makes this city generous and pleasure-loving. It has access to central New Orleans through Canal Street. Catch the historic Canal streetcar two blocks away directly to the French quarter ($1.25). Walk to the Bayou St. John and City Park. Downtown/French Quarter/CBD is a short uber (to get your first uber ride for free use referral code: ciov) ride away (<$10) The location is one block from the largest Mardi Gras parade Endymion. It is exactly 1 mile from the famous Jazz and Heritage Festival, 1.6 miles from the French Quarter, and 1 mile from City Park.
