For my son’s 21st birthday he wanted to surf at Hoddevik and we live in San Francisco. We had discovered that Hoddevik was a 7-8 hr drive from Bergen and that it might be raining and there might not be waves so I was hesitant to book a stay and thought we might just as well go to Bergen and be normal tourists. However after a few days in Bergen I could see my son needed to see the actual ocean so I rented the car and found Elizabeth’s place! She was the very best host - so responsive and encouraging while we drove the 8 hours and arrived in the dark . Once we found the place it was so easy to go in a get some good sleep in the warm house with comfortable beds . Woke up to the most breathtaking views and sounds of nature. There was a market nearby and after breakfast we drove to Hoddevik for the vacation of a lifetime. Absolutely our best vacation to date. Elisabeth really made our visit a most delightful experience. Thank you Elizabeth! We can’t wait to come back and stay longer

We have stayed with Margareth and Jarle several times and it is simply the most beautiful place. The view and location provide peace of mind and the apartment is always spotless. Also recommend a visit by Mrs Inga for lovely buns and more! We will be back!

As nice as always! We've stayed here several times for work, and it's been great every time. The apartment is clean, comfortable and has everything we need. Einar is a great host – always helpful and very quick to respond. Would highly recommend!
