Restaurants and cafes are right outside the front door. The Neckar and the train station are within walking distance. Heidelberg and Mannheim can easily be reached in about 15 minutes by train. Bikes can be stored in the courtyard, where you can also sit nicely in the summer. For loading and unloading, the car can be parked right in front of the house.

On 50 sqm we offer a place with cozy warmth due to the included fireplace. The area offers numerous beautiful hiking trails, castles and other excursion destinations, etc. In the summer months (June/July/August/possibly Sept.), our sunken pool (heated by solar - water temperature therefore depends on the hours of sunshine) can be used in the garden.

The connections to Heidelberg, Mannheim, Sinsheim and Heilbronn are very good. The journey time to Heidelberg old town or to the Rhine-Neckar Arena Sinsheim by train or car is 15-20 minutes. Meckesheim is a starting point for various excursions. Heidelberg, Neckartal, Odenwald, Dilsberg, Sinsheim and Kraichgau, Schwetzingen and Hockenheim.

Small house within the beautiful, old fortress of Dilsberg, near Heidelberg. The house is furnished with great attention to detail and part of the old fortress wall. Renovated in 2019, only ecological materials were used. On the ground floor, there is a living room, kitchen, hallway and bathroom. Bedrooms (mattresses replaced 08/2025) and a small anteroom are accessible on the upper floor via a narrow staircase. There are two wood stoves. Firewood is there. NO WI-FI!
