Houseboat holiday rentals in Münsterland

A beautiful and serene place on the river, minutes walk from Arnhem city center. Marco kindly welcomed me to his houseboat – such a unique and comfortable place to stay! Spotlessly clean, cosy, comfy bed/bedding, quiet and peaceful, a slice of nature so close to the center but away from the noise. Nice walks along the river. A good night’s sleep. This is a gem of a place hosted by good people. Highly recommended.

We had SUCH an amazing time at Irene and Ted’s place. The boat was wonderful, with so much family history. We used the canoe on a day around around the waterways and to the small lake where we swam and had a picnic. It was all round delightful. Irene’s breakfast is a must too - so beautifully prepared and delicious. Thank you for hosting us, it was a very special trip!

Great place right on the river. I was looking for something right by the water and this was perfect. It is very comfortable and quiet and very close to the Veluwezoom park. Marco and Milou are great hosts. The welcome was really friendly and I could always get in touch with questions. I will definitely try to be back. Thanks a lot!

We had a lovely stay in Raoul and Hester's place. The ark is moored in a quiet side channel of the Ijssel and therefore in extremely calm waters (no bow waves of passing craft). Many ducks, geese, swans and loads of other birds around enjoying the tranquil surroundings, as we did. Despite the out-of-the-way location, it's only a 10min stroll to Kampen - cross the bridge and you're basically right in the heart of the old city. Couple of decent eateries and pubs in a small area. The ark itelf is a little dated but well equipped and feels very homely. If you're going in winter, bring some wood to get that wood stove going and it'll be quite comfy in no-time. Everything works, nice double bed and good shower. Communication with Raoul and his parents-in-law excellent. Can't recommend enough if you're after some peace and tranquility.

The houseboat was a dream and even more beautiful than it looks in the photos. The perfect break from everyday life and wonderful in terms of both furnishings and views. Kim gave us a great welcome and there were even plenty of cold drinks in the fridge. All in all, absolutely recommended and we will definitely come back!

We had a very nice stay. We were allowed to use the small boats on the side of the houseboat for a small fee and that was great! Wonderful stay and very thoughtful space and accommodation concept. Great for cycling, jogging around the lake, walking. Very tasty good friendly Greek restaurant within walking distance. Thank you

What a wonderful stay we had. Get away from it all together. Just where we needed. The stay has everything and more that someone could ask for. Patricia is incredibly hospitable, flexible and helpful. Extra tip: a float session that you can book at a discount

Amazing location directly on the lake with a lot of outdoor acitvities.

We had very nice days with Anton on the boat. You can relax here and have a beautiful landscape with a small village. Anton was very nice, flexible, helped with questions about the arrival and surroundings and gave good tips.

Warm welcome by owners and took the time for us which made us feel right at home. The houseboat is a lovely accommodation with everything you need. Long weekend is actually far too short. What we found out after booking is that we could see the annual Gondola cruise on Friday evening and that from the very best location, on our own terrace. That was a nice party that continued in the late hours. The late hours in the party tent down the road so we could sleep peacefully and wonderfully. Recommended: On Sunday we rented their beautiful electric sloop (nice and quiet and no smell on board) and made a very nice day trip over the Weerribben.

Mario gave clear instructions on how to find the houseboat and where to park (just across the path from the front door). It's a "semi-detached" houseboat but we never heard the neighbour's telly or voices. Clean inside, and Mario left a welcome letter and nice extra touches such as chocolates and a couple of drinks in the fridge. The shower, taps, toilet flush all work as they would on land.
