The historic half-timbered house from 1867 is located near the Geierlay suspension rope bridge in the beautiful Hunsrück town of Buch. It has been stylishly renovated and furnished according to our ideas of vacation and recreation. During the renovation, emphasis was placed on traditional craftsmanship and the use of contemporary materials from around the turn of the century. The cottage ‘Lichtberg 2’ is the smaller of the two neighbouring organic houses (see also ‘Lichtberg 1’). It is enchantingly secluded in the garden and by the field - and yet very close to the city (10 minutes to the university, city centre, main station and motorway) and has been renovated with high-quality materials in line with building biology. The Kirchberg vacation region "in the middle of the Hunsrück" - surrounded by the Moselle, Rhine, Nahe and Saar river valleys, is one of the most beautiful and interesting natural landscapes in Rhineland-Palatinate. The vacation home is centrally located but quiet in the middle of the village. Restaurants and bike rentals are available. Kirchberg is an ideal starting point for hiking and cycling tours, climbing, exploring the suspension rope bridge or visiting natural and adventure pools.

We didn't have the heart to tear down Grandma Hilde's house. So we renovated the house for 1 year and got as much charm as possible. Enjoy your own hideaway with a large sun terrace, the old half-timbered but modern facilities. The house is at the narrowest point of Starkenburg, so that you can enjoy the distant view towards the Mosel river and the beautiful Ahringstal. Enjoy a journey back in time! The two medieval skipper's houses are located directly on the old market square and are connected inside. Each room has its own modern bathroom! You can relax under large lime trees after a hike on the Rheinsteig and sample the town's excellent wines. The holiday flat is also very conveniently located for attending a concert on the Loreley open-air stage!
