Chalet holiday rentals in McGaheysville

The chalet was a perfect home base for our stay in the valley over a birthday weekend. Derek gave us clear instructions ahead of time, we had no trouble getting in. We were able to just crash and watch TV the first night in front of the electric fireplace. Second night we hit the hot tub which we needed after a long hike. We found good restaurants in Front Royal and Luray (Osteria Maria, Chop House Bistro) and for coffee in the morning Broad Porch. Check out was also easy, we just needed to strip the beds and take out the trash. And of course we loved being able to bring our doggo. My fiancee had previously been hosted by Derek and we would definitely stay here again.

Highly recommend this beautiful place. I took my camera and got lots of photos of Louie the super friendly big white dog, chickens, goats, wild turkeys, deer and several ponds and a shallow river. Inter tubes were included. Lots of great outdoor walking and picnic tables to enjoy the fantastic views of the mountains. I really enjoyed Trish beautiful artwork throughout the room. All I can say is I’m excited to visit again…real soon!

We had a wonderful stay! The house is beautiful and well-stocked. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, relaxing on the porch, listening to music on their Bluetooth speakers, and looking at the stars from the hot tub. The location was perfect with access to SNP and nearby towns. While it was just the two of us, and our two fur babies, the space could easily accommodate a larger group. We would absolutely visit again!

Our hosts were very accommodating and responsive! The enclosed deck was great for socializing and was thoroughly enjoyed by our two canine guests. The house was clean and conveniently located to the bike park.

We had so much fun staying with a large group at Chateau Jolene. The outdoor space with the fire table, hot tub, and sauna is wonderful. We cooked several meals at the house and the kitchen was well stocked with the basics. The beds were comfortable and clean. Would recommend this place to others

The woodpecker’s chalet was a beautiful cabin with an amazing view to go to sleep to and wake up to. Natasha was so friendly and responsive and gave us wonderful recommendations. I can’t say enough how gorgeous her place is and how comfortable we were staying there. I definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a beautiful, peaceful, clean place and enjoy taking in the scenery!

We had a great birthday weekend in April at Alyson's. When we arrived the property was very clean and check in was simple. The instructions for using the hot tub and fireplace were very clear. We had an issue at 5 am that was not anyone's fault. Alyson responded quickly and had a maintenance person out who fixed the issue promptly even on Easter Sunday. Overall I would recommend this place for it's proximity to Massanutten and its overall cleanliness and ease of use.

Peaceful and relaxing stay! This home has the perfect relaxing view . You’re minutes away from beautiful little towns and scenic trails.

The power went out and Rachel was quick to help us figure out what was going on. the map full of recommendations was amazing and super helpful when trying to find things to do.
